I missed these two idiots so much
Rebel Wilson and her racism again. Disappointed, but not surprised. This white girl thinks those xenophobic jokes are actually funny? Wow. K kids and K mama... I have no words..
Honestly I didn't really see the point of their characters in s1 but I thought hey, maybe they'll be more relevant in s2... But no. I really don't see the point of their characters and feel like they're dragging the storyline. I get that s2 storyline has to involve some flashback storylines with the old titans but they really need to focus more on the new titans more.
MAKE. THIS. DUO. HAPPEN
Me before watching Godzilla KOTM: mothra and Godzilla will probably fight in their first encounter but will team up to fight their mutual enemy who's King Ghidora, but go separate ways after the battle
Me after watching Godzilla KOTM: Lol Godzilla and Mothra fucked and I know it
Hakim!!!!!!!
Basically everyone in Aladdin, except for Aladdin
Aladdin (2019) Spoilers without context
Me before watching Aladdin (2019): It's 2019, why do we need an Aladdin remake?
Me after watching Aladdin (2019): It's 2019. We NEEDED an Aladdin remake
Let Spider-Man be a independent hero.... Feels like Disney took Spiderman from Sony so that they could use him to make Iron man look cooler and how great he is in Spiderman's film... I'm starting to prefer Sony's versions of Spiderman
What pisses me off the most is the way they treated cap’s character at the end?? I mean they directed The Winter Soldier and Civil War so they sure know what Steve has done for Bucky and how much he was grown after the woke him up and they completely threw all that away and made him go and create and alt universe just so he could be with Peggy? That’s bs and oh I definitely hated the way they just ditched Thor’s character and how they didn’t give him anything back not even his brother
Yup. I didn't get that too. In winter solider Steve saw how Peggy had long and Happy life with her husband and children and how she moved on from Steve. I just can't believe that they are the same director who directed Winter soldier because based on what we saw, we know Steve wouldn't have made such decision.
Steve had Bucky who'll remember his past, Sam who'll remember his present, Sharon who'll he'll develop more feelings in the future. He moved on from his past and was ready to finally live his life then BOOM let's go to the past where he doesn't really belong. Also in agent Carter series we saw how Peggy struggled to escape from 'Captain's girlfriend' to a real skilled agent. It was a rude thing to do for both Steve and Peggy's already built up characterisation
Russo brothers: Ah, so Marvel's big three! Here's what we're going to do. So we're going to give Iron man the most dramatic and glorious ending with greatest superhero exit in Marvel's history, with the entire heroes remembering & mourning him. He'll also finally rest from his PTSD in peace
Oh, don't forget to give Captain America with badass leadership skills,Thor's hammer & his powers with the most screening time and a happy ending
Thor fans: And Thor?
Russo brothers: We're going to make him useless, fatshame him and mock about his PTSD for 45 minutes
Possible Namor Easter egg??? When Okoye said there was an earthquake under wakanda's ocean I immediately thought of Namor. I know it's probably difficult for Namor to be in the movie since the underwater realm has been explored by dc but it's just a hope that he'll be the next Black Panther villain
End of story
The thing is, Thor isn't a person who would abandon his responsibilities as a king or his people after Thor 3. Possibly in Thor 2, sure. He actually mentions that he doesn't want to be a king. But after Thor 3 and Infinity war he's grown, he saw Loki & Heimdall sacrifice themselves so Thor could live. But in all those incidents he wouldn't let him self go just like that. He just wouldn't. Remember when he lost his hammer, father, hair(lol), finds out he had a sister who's really evil and he got casted out as a slave in trash planet? Did he let him self go? NO. Because Thor is someone who continues to walk forward no matter the failures and mistakes he had made. He destroyed his own planet to save the Asgardians and still had hope to carry on. Then in Endgame where Valkyrie, Korg, and the survivors of Asgard returned, he just chucked away his responsibilities and whines about his the one who killed Thanos and blah blah. He's trapped in self misery which is out of the past 10 years of characterisation. He actually doesn't have the reason to give up! Not to mention How Russos used Thor's PTSD as a comic device and fat shamed him the entire movie for the sake of humor
For Bruce Banner, in Infinity War the Russos didn't give any chance for Hulk to actually fight until the end after he got beaten in the first act. I thought there would be an important reason for that which would be explained in Endgame. BUT NOPE. The struggle of Bruce identifying his alter ego is just one and they mixed the two together. We didn't even got to see how the hell did that happen. Russos were like 'here, this is canon accept it even if we showed & explained nothing for you' in our throat. Also, Bruce banner is one of the smartest scientist in the mcu yet he struggles so much on the Quantum realm sutff and in the end, its always Tony Stark who saves the day with Bruce banner not being able to solve anything. I really prefered Whedon's Bruce Banner & Hulk more than Russos'.
For Natasha, I found it really creepy on how Russo brothers kept sacrificing the only female member of the team (Gamora in original GotG, Natasha in original Avengers) for the sake of 'sacrifice the LOVED ones for the sake of greater good' in Vormir. Also it just doesn't make any sense. If they wanted the soul stone then didn't Nebula forewarn them that there should be a LOVING sacrifice? Again, plot hole. Natasha's sacrifice was unnecessary and was just full of plot holes. But then I thought, fine. I guess they're starting to kill off all the original 6 avengers one by one starting with Black widow. But nope, just her and Tony, who got the most screen time and emotional scene with most dramatic exit ever happened in MCU, but not Nat. Didn't you find it odd to see when Steve said Avengers assemble and there was no Black widow? Or the scene where all the female heroes stand and there is no first female superhero in the MCU? Didn't you think that Black widow's death was totally unnecessary and was just wasted as mere plot device? Or she didn't get that grand funeral that Tony got or just NO FUNERAL AT ALL. I mean you can say that 'Oh I'm pretty sure that Nat had her tombstone too and everyone's mourning for her as well!' But did we see that in the movie? NO. It's just Clint and Wanda mentioning her for 3 sec then boom. End of the movie
I agree Joss Whedon was horrible in AoU with her character but I really liked Nat in Avengers 1. And in terms of female characters, at least Whedon didn't make Wanda to wear Corset through out the movie. The suit at the end of AoU had no corset which Russos just ignored... Also he actually cared for Bruce Banner & Hulk which Russos just used him as comical device in IW and Endgame. And Thor... god I just want to cry on how they concluded the story line like this. Tony and Steve had glorified ending but Thor who's the big three of the MCU was just unacceptable
At least Whedon wouldn’t ruin Thor & Banner’s character just like that or he’ll kill off female character so pointlessly… Seriously, there’s so many plot holes in this time travel shit that Russos failed to explain. Are they even the same directors who directed Infinity war???? What the fuck happened?? I think marvel will never be able to surpass Whedon’s Avengers 1. And yes, I am this desperate. It’s like Sherlock season three all over again. Directors starring themselves& their family members in the movie, taking up time and not enough for the actual characters. I didn’t pay to see your face or your children
Chris & Taika aren't you even mad...? Not even the slightest..? Russos completely ruined what you have built up in Thor Ragnarok. Thor isn't a hero who would dump the people of Asgard just like that. Maybe in Thor 2 but not after all the characterisation that happened in recent years
Just make Thor 4 where Thor drift in the galaxy without any purpose then he starts to search for all the dead Asgardians who have reincarnated and lives human lives after Ragnarok & Infinity war. Just like Journey to the mystery comics back in 2006. Find the warriors, kid Loki and every last Asgardian and comeback to the new Asgard where Valkyrie is and ACTUALLY rebuild the new ASGARDIA THAT FLOATS.
Then they accidently wakes up Jömungard, the midgard serpent, which Thor and the serpent fights the battle, Thor crushes it's head and Thor gets poisoned and die honorably. It'll be so interesting. I can't let go Thor like this where Russos ruined them seriously. TAIKA WAKE UP WE HAVE A PROBLEM
At least Whedon wouldn't ruin Thor & Banner's character just like that or he'll kill off female character so pointlessly... Seriously, there's so many plot holes in this time travel shit that Russos failed to explain. Are they even the same directors who directed Infinity war???? What the fuck happened?? But srsly, did Chris Hemsworth fought with the Russo's or something...? They completely demolished what Taika and Chris has built up
Does okoye (danai) have a major role or atleast supporting role or is she basically ignored in the film as expected?
I think she was in the movie for 3 minutes or less
Throughout the movie the directors are busy taking care of the 'certain' characters that they favor the most while just dumping the character storyline for other characters which they clearly don't care about. Some were so out of place and out of character that made me think did they even watch the past movies?????? It's just so carelessly done and just waste them for stupid humor and gags. I can't believe that these 'wasted' characters are just going to be finished like this. Seriously, I didn't spend time and emotions for 10 years for this.
Don't get me wrong, the movie itself is fun and not that bad, but throughout the movie I was keep thinking 'are these the same directors who made ca: winter soldier & infinity war?????'
Hi! was there any Bruce and Natasha moments in Endgame? or was it completely ignored...
Yes but only a little bit
If you are Thor or Bruce Banner's fan, I highly recommend you to not watch it. Cuz I'm a HUGE Thor fan and I walked out the cinema PISSED AS FUCK HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME. Does Russo brothers hate Chris Hemsworth? Or Just the Asgardian characters in general? I mean, WTF they completely erased all the character development that has been built up for past 10 years
So Captain Marvel comes to Earth with Tony & Nebula > According to CM end credits, Steve has a beard > Natasha has short blonde hair > CM meets the avengers
Steve shaved & Antman escapes the quantum realm > Natasha still has short blonde hair > Avengers (including Tony & Nebula, no Hawkeye) + Captain Marvel goes to Titan straight away to face Thanos > Since the Russos said that all the clips for promotion will be within first 25min of the film, they the team action scene probably happens in the early stage of the movie
They fail. The team goes back to Earth to 'recharge' > 1~2 years have passed > Natasha's hair reaches her shoulder > Recruits Clint Barton who lives as 'Ronin' at that point > Antman and other characters figure out the time travel through the quantum realm
3~4 years later > Everyone's here > Natasha has long red hair > Instead of fighting face to face with Thanos, the Avengers break into teams and each of them travel to different timelines > No toys, promotional clips, legos showed Captain Marvel & Okoye in the quantum realm suit > They probably stay in the current timeline
I'm like, a really big Joker fan, but I don't like the idea of giving the Joker a backstory. Especially after watching the trailer, it feels like DC's trying to make the audience sympathize with the Joker, the most iconic psychopath in the comic book history. I just love the idea that the Joker felt like a inhuman being when his actually a human being. It just erase the mysterious aura out of him.
I just hope that at the end of the movie, the Joker is facing Batman at his arkham cell, and goes, 'so which story do you like better? The one where I killed my father or the one I killed my mother? Or do you want to hear more?' And kind of imply that the Joker was lying all along
The Big three of the MCU
Ok, now I ship Thor×Captain Marvel really bad. I mean, both of them are officially single, and cosmic being so why not? They're like golden doggie and golden kitty couple! They'll be MARVEL' S STRONGEST COUPLE EVER PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN
Thank you for coming to my TED talk
NO SPOILER REVIEW with my own opinions
- I felt like the movie is quite different than what Marvel has advertised with the trailer. 50% of the scenes in the trailer are not present in the movie
- Carol Danvers is goofy, stubborn, hot headed, and sassy character unlike other female heroes in the past films who are always cool- headed, calm, too wise to be involved with team's drama, etc
- Brie Larson has great chemistry with EVERYONE and is such a talented actress when it comes to delivering emotions in dramatic scenes. BUT I felt that her physical stunts aren't... quite the best...? Like, there are some action scenes that weren't very impressive due to how the actress moved. I also felt the same thing with Ezra Miller's Flash in JL movie when they did slow motion for his actions and I was just like ....?
- I was glad to see Nick Fury's more human qualities and as a sidekick, he was great! I'll be always happy to see Sam L. Jackson's Nick Fury in any marvel movie
- LOVED Jude Law's character. Honestly, I loved the chemistry& the relationship between Carol and his character
- Not really sure if Ronan was a necessary plot device in this film
- COULSON!!!! I mean, he had little role, but we missed you, agent
- Goose the cat is the best scene stealer like everyone has expected
- The friendship between Carol and Maria was tear jerking. They shared strong emotional scenes
- During the third act of the movie, you know in a hero movie where the main protagonist discovers their powers and overcome their limt? Honestly IT WAS SO CRINGEY. I thought I was watching some sort of documentary campaign
- Nice plot twist
- The 1st end credit scene leads directly to the Avengers: Endgame. 2nd is more of a comical one
- I think if you enjoyed Guardians of the galaxy 1,2, you'll enjoy CM. They're very different but has a similar vibe somewhere
- Captain Marvel breaks Hollywood's cliche at the very end of the third act. However like Wonder Woman, the entire plot line was quite predictable
It was 8/10 for me. Excited to see Brie Larson's Captain Marvel in the endgame and her sequel
Tribute to Stan Lee
'You come in to my house, sit on my father's chair, and threaten me to kill my Dragon?'
- Chief Hiccup of Berk
(I'm not sure if this was the exact line but boy, he has grown)
