The goopiest guy to ever gunk
Listen. I know that theyāre doing the whole ārival is opposite gender to the proragā thing, but if gamefreak does not let me be gay with Urbain I will RIOT
Semi-hot take: I think that a lot of people who thought Scarlet and Violet were boring just. Didnāt read it.
Iām obsessed with watching peopleās play-throughs to see what their reactions to certain story beats are and legit half of them would button-mash through the dialogue and miss important stuff. This then translates to people who watch the videos that canāt afford/ donāt want to buy the game not getting the opportunity to read it too so⦠yeah.
To me MandJTV did the best job of really getting into and reading the words out loud to get people immersed. Granted he has a lot of experience with the rest of the role-play type Pokemon videos that he does.
Maybe itās just the English student in me but I genuinely think that these are my favorite Pokemon games to date purely due to the story. The performance issues suck (especially while Iām still using a day-one release switch), but I think this genuinely makes up for it.
3 hours??? Lore dump??? āTHAT momentā???????
If I wind up missing in 2 days donāt look for me
Accidentally pulled up my Pokemon fanfiction in front of a remote proctor while taking my final exam. Think I might just go cry now
JUNIOR YEAR!!! I BELIEVE IN YOU!!
I do agree with the vast majority of this, but I think thereās an argument to be made that sometimes itās nice to do it for fun in cases where thereās no harm in it. Mostly Iām talking about the games that no longer have internet connectivity, so everything from the 3DS to before. I donāt necessarily hold the belief that āshinies only have value because theyāre rareā. If somebody wants a shiny starter just for the hell of it while doing a nostalgia playthrough or because it looks nice, I mean why not. Sometimes the only reason is because a black charizard looks sick as fuck and thatās ok.
What do you guys think about hacked PokƩmon? Because I have a couple of opinions on it.
First, I donāt like hacked shinies. The thing about shinies is that itās only an aesthetic change and nothing changes gameplay-wise. Thereās no reason to hack one, unlike, say, a perfect IV competitive PokĆ©mon. The thing about shinies is that they only have value because theyāre rare. Thatās it. Meaning, hacking a shiny takes away its value.
Where my opinion differs is on hacking shinies for competitive purposes, that being because it actually affects gameplay, and thereās actually another reason. As mentioned above, shinies only have value due to their rarity, and thus hacking them completely defeats the purpose of a shiny. On the other hand, you can pretty easily get a max IV or EV PokĆ©mon in scarlet and violet. Iāve seen some people claiming that maxing out a team takes them 3 hours, but with a decent amount of money it takes me, like, an hour at most. At the end of the day, itās not that much time or effort to max out a team and thus hacking doesnāt really matter. If you honestly care that much about hacking competitive PokĆ©mon, then I honestly think youāre overreacting.
Those are my thoughts, anyway. See ya!
Idk if Iām just in an echo chamber or not but is it feasible that thereās scarlet and violet merch at artist allies this year? I would die of happiness if I could find anything that has any of the zero crew, kitakami siblings or BB League.
