some could say it was sad that the first person salem wanted to go to was the very person that he should hate. but it was nobody’s fault but maybe his own that elva would never return his feelings. harry was a good guy underneath all his bad boy exterior and salem had little room to judge, anyways. “so uh -- cheers ! to --- moving on ! ” he chuckled, already high because he had smoked before going over to the pirate’s place.

“ really ? “ closest thing to happiness from her is the small inflection in tone , before she looks at the other , shrugging gently , “ i need more medication . i’ve been HAVING migraines more often and … i don’t know why . hoping for a … stronger advil or … or something . UNLESS you have some . “
salem definitely had something stronger than advil. it was no secret to his siblings that he been making a mess of himself lately, the reason was still locked up tight in his mind. “ uh --- you should go to a doctor. they’re like, responsible and know about that shit. ” strong painkillers could easily lead down the road salem was on and he might be a hypocrite for it but he would never risk his little sister following him down that path.
So waking up always seems to hurt.

Fingers deftly sewed through the varying colors of fabric, melding two completely different patterns into one piece. No matter how oddly matched they appeared, the final product always looked good to Sally. There was a whimsical positive in the oddity of her creations; no one looked alike, and no one else in Auradon would dare sell them. Which, she thought was a true shame, but it had been the reason which spurred her to open up a shop all of her own in the first place. A soft ‘mhm’ sounded from her as she continued to work, glancing up every few seconds to catch Salem’s gaze. “Oh, I’m sure you can find new ways to give people a good spook. This is a chance for you to get even more creative. Use all that gelatinous mass our heads are filled with,” A wry smile curled onto her lips, and she paused, leaning forward on her elbows to peer at Salem directly. “Tell you what. Tell me what you’ve tried already, and maybe we can brainstorm something new. What do you say?”
As much as he adored his mother, it was hard to be around her these days. Every cell of his physical being wanted to tell her the truth, confess everything and relieve himself of the burden of all his secrets. It was odd how much becoming human had changed him. He had been human once, long ago, but he hardly remembers that life and he knows the afterlife has been much kinder to him anyways. “Do you think I can become as good as dad someday?” He asked suddenly, already knowing what his mother would say but he wanted to hear it anyways. How anyone survived without a mother like his, he would consider that the ultimate mystery. “Really?” His whole face lit up as he began to explain to her some of the usual tricks he used. “Jumping out at people just doesn’t have the same effect anymore now that my face is all --- normal. And I can’t turn invisible anymore !”
He thought drugs were his best friend. He had no idea that they kept their enemies closer than their friends.

Maleficent never let the coy smile fall from her lips, “She is all those things, is she?” The ice princess did not seem to be as wonderful as he mentioned, she a lone snowflake in the middle of July, out of place and unwanted everywhere she went. but if he liked her… “She’s not all, is she? There’s a reason you find yourself unworthy of her.” She held up her hand and let a few green sparks appear, “Oh…I’m just someone who wants to help.”
Salem nodded but his eyes stayed fixated on hers’. Something about her was enchanting. A soft voice and gentle touch, she reminded him of Elva in some ways and it was enough to bring all his longing and self-loathing to the surface. “I... I’m not good for anyone,” he admitted, stare broken when he saw the green sparks fly from her fingertips. “Magic,” he whispered and Elva’s suggestion that perhaps someone could suppress his abilities came to the front of his mind. “I have abilities and --- they feel like I curse. I do bad things to suppress them but I don’t want to be a bad person,” he explained, desperation growing in his miserable state.

♛ — Charlie walked over to the fridge and took out a couple of beers before settling them on a table. He sat down on a couch and used his keys to open the bottles. “Thanks.” he shouted before taking a drink from one. “Not a bad place you got.” He hadn’t finish fixing his new place, it was all still weird since he spent so many years just backpacking around. — ♛
Salem mixed the drinks quickly, having a lot of practice, before he poured them in a couple of solo cups. “Don’t have anything fancy since I broke most of my glasses,” he explained with a small chuckle as he placed the drink on the table in front of the prince. “Thanks. I just picked up because I threw a rager over the weekend. Oh --- and I put two shots in there. I like my stuff strong and I figured you could handle it.”

hair will be brushed away from her face by her own hand . stella is no MIND READER , but she likes to think she could read people decently , still . something’s off , she should divert the attention off of him . “ my mom had me learn piano since i was young – ” she’ll offer , hazel eyes falling on the other . “ but lets just say i sing better than i play , and my singing ? pretty basic . ”
the male nodded, unsure why she was telling him this. “ if you’re singing’s basic then there doesn’t seem much point,” he stated bluntly. “unless you actually enjoy singing then --- it can never just be basic.” thinking out loud is mostly what he was doing. mostly sober or not, he never had a good brain to mouth filter.
