Marinette

• Marinette is done

• First Lila now they had to do a stupid pen pal project with an American student

• It was supposed to help them with their English but Marinette was already fluent thanks to Jagged

• And to top it all of it was with a rich school meaning that she might get paired with another spoiled brat

• Good thing then it was an anonymous program meaning everyone was given a number that corresponded with a student at the other school

• So Marinette wrote about Gotham's superheroes to her partner

• She thought maybe it would help them find a common subject to talk about

Damian

• Damian was not exited for this project

• He would have to suffer through poor grammar and snotty French kids

• He was shocked when he got his first letter asking about the superhero's of Gotham

• His pen pal wanted to know if he had ever seen them in action

• Apparently besides a couple official league photos there wasn't much of Batman on the internet

• So he wrote to her about them and actually had fun with it

• He told her about the utility belt, bat-a-rangs, and how they had no powers

• And he tucked one of his sketches of him in his Robin suit in with a note explaining it

• Maybe this project with the mystery girl wouldn't be so bad

How about some good news?

-China has closed down its last coronavirus hospital. Not enough new cases to support them.

- Doctors in India have been successful in treating Coronavirus. Combination of drugs used: Lopinavir, Retonovir, Oseltamivir along with Chlorphenamine. They are going to suggest same medicine, globally.

- Researchers of the Erasmus Medical Center claim to have found an antibody against coronavirus.

- A 103-year-old Chinese grandmother has made a full recovery from COVID-19 after being treated for 6 days in Wuhan, China.

- Apple reopens all 42 china stores,

- Cleveland Clinic developed a COVID-19 test that gives results in hours, not days.

- Good news from South Korea, where the number of new cases is declining.

- Italy is hit hard, experts say, only because they have the oldest population in Europe.

- Scientists in Israel likely to announce the development of a coronavirus vaccine.

- 3 Maryland coronavirus patients fully recovered; able to return to everyday life.

- A network of Canadian scientists are making excellent progress in Covid-19 research.

- A San Diego biotech company is developing a Covid-19 vaccine in collaboration with Duke University and National University of Singapore.

- Tulsa County's first positive COVID-19 case has recovered. This individual has had two negative tests, which is the indicator of recovery.

- All 7 patients who were getting treated for at Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi have recovered.

- Plasma from newly recovered patients from Covid -19 can treat others infected by Covid-19.

So it's not ALL bad news. Let's care for each other and stay focused on safety of those most vunerable.

Science fiction is full of first contact stories, but is there a such thing as LAST contact?  Decide exactly what that means, and write about it.

Understanding the Johansson/Disney lawsuit thanks to Twitter wisdom…

Here’s part of Disney’s statement…

Yes. They’re excusing a breach of contract over the pandemic. Oh. So righteous.

And because context is everything…

Some say Johansson made a dick move because Disney is “the hands that feeds her”. I wonder if they’d say the same thing if this was Tom Cruise or Robert Downey Jr or some MAN of the likes.

Last, but not least:

Hey idea:

Fu has been teaching Mari about the Miraculous since she was young. One day he was letting her playing with the kwami when something happened and he quickly put them away, but he forgot about the horse miraculous. And he tells Mari to go play in another room for a bit and she kinda uses kaalki to go to Gotham. More specifically the batcave, where Tim (sleep deprived of course) is working at the bat computer when a 5 year old child fell in him. After talking to her for a bit he tells her to stay there. He then goes to find his family and tells them what happened. They don’t believe him and think he is hallucinating. That is until Damian storms into the room.

“Why is this small child in the batcave playing with bat cow?! Father did you take in another loin minion? I am more than enough, I can do better than all of your other minions combined what made you believe you needed more.”

Everyone, except Tim, is speechless because Tim wasn’t hallucinating and there is another child.

“When did I bring this one home? I don’t remember adopting her. Is this becoming a problem?” (The last part is more to himself)

Mari explains to the fam who she is, Alfred then offers her some milk and cookies. After a while she says she needs to go home and Bruce is like “ok let me get my keys” but she is like “no thank you” and transforms. She then just kinda leaves.

The fam is just confused, but they see weird shit all of the time. They shrug it off and forget about it.

Until next week when Mari pops up from behind dick as he is walking out the door for a date.

“Your tie is crooked”

Dick: *screams*

Batfam: *excluding Bruce and Alfred screams*

She then is regularly seen popping up around them.

Batman: *in a justice league meeting*

Mari: *pops out from under his cape*

Jason: *working on building a motorcycle with Roy*

Mari: *pokes her head out from above the handle bars*

Tim: *sleep deprived but working at the bat computer*

Mari: *takes his hand and drags him to bed*

(Tim thought she was a hallucination for almost two months)

Damian: *throws Titus a stick*

Titus: *brings back Mari by the collar of her shirt* (like a momma cat carrying her kitten)

ok srsly who invented color guard??? like one day “sir you know how me and some guys carry our country’s flag and guard it with rifles?” “yes” “what if we threw that shit in the air” “….fucking BRILLIANT, Jim”
