What a croc! đ This Fossil Friday, letâs take a bite out of the weekend with Deinosuchusâa giant crocodilian that lived alongside the dinosaurs some 75 million years ago. Reaching lengths of more than 35 feet (10.7 m) and weighing more than 8,000 lbs (3628.7 kg), Deinosuchus was as long as a school bus and as heavy as an elephant, making it one of the most powerful predators in its ecosystem. In fact, partially healed bite marks found on the bones of a tyrannosaur in North America match this giant crocâs teeth, suggesting Deinosuchus could go toe to toe with even the most formidable of dinosaurs.

Visualizations like this are so cool! It's always a blast to see the inner workings of how things like this come to life.
The Structure
South Korean drawing teacher An Jae Hyun (ììŹí) will clearly show you how to feel and correctly depict the structure of an object. This will help you learn and improve your drawing skills.
What an amazing skull piece!
Awwww yeah baby, Demon Skull time
Now I canât unhear Marvin the Martian whenever RJ speaks. Thanks for that, lmao
Look, I love the changes in art style over time, but I will never forgive Morrison for going from âRJâs face is always shrouded in shadowâ to âRJ is Marvin the martianâ
When Max gets pulled into Spirit Trance again in Chapter 4, there's a better look at the background. Sand dunes and what looks like pyramids in the distance. We know that when Spirit Trance involves more than one spirit, the world takes on characteristics of both spirits, as seen with Patchworm and the Ghost Train:
Sphinxes can easily be associated with both a desert environment and pyramids, so there might be more fuel for this theory here.
Also as Max is falling after being repelled by the ghost train, right before he loses consciousness there's something on his back:
Those could be the wings of a Sphinx preventing him from becoming a splat on the ground. After all, if this Sphinx hijacking a ride is the reason Max became a spectral, and it did so to get into Mayview, what good would it do to have its ride die outside the barrier, leaving it right back where it started?
I recently read through chapter 5, and with the last two pages that have been released I noticed something that I think gives away the identity of the spirit hiding in Max. I think that whatever is in Max is a very powerful, or maybe even the leader of the Sphinxes.
First, back in Chapter 3, when BERG is speaking to Doorman, he exclaims, â ARROGANCE. YOUR POWER IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF. RIDDLES AND WORD GAMES.â And so far, both our Sphinx of Games and Twuth have powers that manifest through words.
Additionally, BERG alludes to his faction. When we first met the Sphinx of Games he ran off saying that âthe othersâ will hear about this. And until now that just seemed like an empty threat. When Doorman is contemplating about Maxâs situation:
He says âone of the s-â Now Iâm kinda grasping at straws on this one, but the freaky shadow spirit seems to be an independent entity, but we now have proof that the sphinxes are a group and itâs entirely possible that the sentence could have finished as âone of the sphinxes.â Iâm thinking that this chapters gonna end with BERG kinda revealing himself to Sphinx of Twuth to get him to bug off.

The movie Snakes on a Plane had it wrong. Thatâs not how snakes fly.
Certain species of tree snakes can glide through the air, undulating their bodies as they soar from tree to tree. That wriggling isnât an attempt to replicate how the reptiles slither across land or swim through water. The contortions are essential for stable gliding, mechanical engineer Isaac Yeaton and colleagues report June 29 in Nature Physics.
âThey have evolved this ability to glide, and itâs pretty spectacular,â says Yeaton, of Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Md. Paradise tree snakes (Chrysopelea paradisi) fling themselves from branches, leaping distances of 10 meters or more (SN: 8/7/02). To record the snakesâ twists and turns, Yeaton, then at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, and colleagues affixed reflective tape on the snakesâ backs and used high-speed cameras to capture the motion.
Physicists had previously discovered that the tree snakes flatten their bodies as they leap, generating lift (SN: 1/29/14). The new experiment reveals that the snakes also exert a complex combination of movements as they soar. Gliding snakes undulate their bodies both side to side and up and down, the researchers found, and move their tails above and below the level of their heads.
Scientists captured the undulating motion of paradise tree snakes as they glide through the sky. A computer simulation based on high-speed video shows that the undulation is necessary for stable flight.
Once the researchers had mapped out the snakesâ acrobatics, they created a computer simulation of gliding snakes. In the simulation, snakes that undulated flew similarly to the real-life snakes. But those that didnât wriggle failed spectacularly, rotating to the side or falling head over tail, rather than maintaining a graceful, stable glide.
If confined to a single plane instead of wriggling in three dimensions, the snakes would tumble. So snakes on a plane wonât fly.
Cheetahs are wonderful animals.
I didnât know cheetahs meow Iâve always thought they roar my whole life has been a lie
one of my favorite stupid things to do in fanfic is to throw two characters together who literally never interact. and then give them an entire, fleshed-out relationship dynamic that exists nowhere but my own head. yes theyâve literally never spoken. yes their relationship is important to me. hope this helps.
