not to shit on zack snyder again but it's really funny that he tried to make a big, grand, complex moral quandary on where superman should stand when he saves people around the world and then james gunn is like "he wants to do it because he thinks it's the right thing to do". sometimes going simpler means you get to the crux of what the character is all about much more efficiently. like wow it's really that easy
I always wonder what Rick told the emergency services/what they concluded about Beth and Diane's deaths. I assume the official conclusion was probably something along the lines of 'one of Rick’s inventions exploded and ended up killing his wife and daughter' but what did Rick himself tell them? Was he too shellshocked to say anything and the neighbours filled in the gaps? Did he tell them the truth and they wrote it off as shock/grief? Did he tell them the truth but in an ambiguous way (e.g. ‘it was my fault’)? Did he lie?
Reading normal people rn and after three quarters of the book my frustration is so real, seeing Marianne's love interests so fucked up and Connell's misinterpretation of the situations is making me sick to the core. I still love being suffocated though 🫶
