i think the saddest thing about crash was how absolutely alone he was. he was so lonely. no one in the facility was capable of understanding how he felt...
...except for his displaced/dead siblings, and the “her” we keep hearing about, who was presumably the engineer/his mother. crash knew to an extent that they existed at one point, but that they didn’t anymore. at one point, someone had understood him. and now they’re dead or so lost no one can bring them back. except fern, i hope. we did it already for chip, after all.
we know crash forgot most things of his siblings and this “her,” because of the [FORGET] popup. the idea that he did it deliberately to deal with the loss, assuming they were already gone due to the Parliment, fits with crash’s character. but it’s also very possible this was a byproduct or a cause of his sickness, being forced to download and enforce the “antivirus—“ also most likely caused by the Parliment. either that, or the two other people walking around hacking up doctors, but i think it’s much more likely it was Parliment. considering isolating crash was the easiest way to infect him.
it’s very sad, i think. we know there were at least three people in the computer—chip, crash, and someone else, because chip uses the word “us” while referring outside of crash. and his mother.
i really hope we bring them back. i want him to see them again.
