Hi! I really admire how you come up with so many completely different and unique monsters and OCs! I would never in my life have thought of giving a character the same face as Kolven, for example, and I started to worry, but don’t you get tired of looking for ideas for NPCs and enemies? Do you come up with designs for them yourself or do you watch the work of other artists and get inspired by them? (or both idk)

Every time I see new art from you, I restrain myself not to squeal with delight!!

Thank you! Personally, I find designing characters and creatures really therapeutic and fun. Drawing strange and biologically impossible things in detail can be a fun way to pass the time, though making them work in engine is much more of a chore.

I like to look at specimen of ancient creatures for inspiration, so many strange and otherworldly things existed in the past, and that both gives me a sense of awe and anxiety. It's a great place to look for inspiration!

Mercury came to me when I was feeling confused and disconnected. I imagined a successful business man who one day woke up to find that his face had fallen off, leaving a black abstract void behind. I thought of what would bubble up from that void, to show how he was truly feeling, so I drew simplistic symbolic eyes and abstract patterns into his face. Identity means a lot to me, and I think of a person who has been brought down to the components of what they are, rather than who they are.
