Emmett convinced Bella to join him when he switches animals out in his vegetarian diet, determined to see which animals are a best fit for their lifestyle in case they need to move or run. Jasper joins only because Bella convinces him it’s good strategy, not because he wonders what’s closest to human. Carlisle makes them record everything in notebooks and video to send to him.
A vegetarian seafood diet turns their eyes glimmering greens and blues that has them thinking their eyes reflect the enviorment the prey is from.
Animals from the hotter dryer parts of the land turns their eyes shades of reddish brown and grey to mimic the dust and dirt that swirls in tornado’s and wind storms. Jasper comments how armadillo tastes the same as when he was younger.
They visit their cousins and make their way up further settling on purely penguins and the occasional polar bear, it turns their eyes into ice, when the light hits it sparkles as much as their skin.
They dive to the deepest parts of the ocean, the creatures never see them and when they return to land their eyes are a complete glowing red that puts the Volturi’s milk filmed horror to shame.
The Cullens as Animals
You know how Jason is a Crime Lord in Gotham but also goes to other cities and does stuff there? I think in basically every city Jason has a dedicated goon-base because they heard what he does in Gotham and want it to happen there as well. Like, Jason’s second handles all the stuff and thinks Jason knows but he really doesn’t.
Oh this is perfect I want it
Oh, and what about accidental international crime boss?
Like, Jason’s in, idk, London or something, and this one guy he knows shows up and is like, “hey boss, great news. We’ve completely taken over the criminal underworld of the UK.”
And then Jason’s just left there to process that.
Although that might go a ways in explaining how and why he keeps getting presents from the Italian mafia…
imagine the world in which smeyer DOES name twilight “forks” and instead of a $3.3 billion movie adaptation in 5 parts we get some spicy teen drama on the cw

Y’know how big dogs aren’t used to being big so they try to sit where they could when they were puppies? Yeah.
Shazam would have absolutely atrocious personal space problems. He’s so used to being a 5’4, 90lb 12 year old that when he sits down he has no clue at all where his body is, his muscles have muscles and ten minutes ago they were string beans. He’d assume that small spaces can hold his absolutely gigantic shoulders and the only thing that stops him from cramming himself in itty bitty little corners at all hours is the wisdom of Solomon in his head spraying him with a water bottle and shouting, “No!!! Down boy!!! Too big!!!!”
An immortal Danny finds himself making a home in Crime Alley
One of the first thing he notices is the disproportionate number of children (babies, they’re just babies) out on the street at night.
Most Some of these kids look like they haven’t been to school in years.
Most Some of these kids have definitely skipped one too many meals.
Well Danny won’t stand for that.
With full access to the infinite wealth of the Infinite Realms and no longer needing to sleep, Danny opens up a 24-hr library cafe where anyone can come in for a hot meal and access to all sorts of books. He begins offering tutoring for the people who come in and also helps some of the adults apply to jobs.
Danny definitely cries when one of the older teens tells him they are finishing their GED and applying to college because of him.
Now if only the creep in the red helmet could do something other than stare at him all night.
So. I'm not a nitpicking person. I understand that mistakes can be made and typos are a thing and sometimes we are just not the kind of person that can make words work for a variety of reasons (dyslexia, for example).
This is not for that people. This is not an attack.
This is for everyone who stumbled into this fandom by mistake and had learned things via osmosis and don't have the energy/time to check the source material for the "correct" thing.
Y'all are valid.
This is a cheat sheet of correct terms and fandom things that are not correct that I've seen in fics.
Disclaimer: while experimenting with canon is fun, this is just to lay down the rules of what's what so it can be the springboard of y'all's beautiful creations.
[Will add more when I think more/have suggestions]
Sam is Jewish
It's "Jasmine" not "Jazmine".
It's "Amity Park" not "Amity Ville".
Wes is fanon, same as Kyle. Info on Wes here
It's "Casper High", not "Caspar High".
Mr. Lancer doesn't have a canon name. Common fanon ones are William or Edward.
Ghost obsessions are fanon.
Same with ghost cores, which are fanon-ish (there is a mention that Danny's ice powers come from his "core" and is never addressed again, of course) (Episode is "Urban Jungle").
Danny beats the Ghost King Pariah Dark in combat, but faints and that fight is never addressed in the series again. Ghost King!Danny is fanon-ish so go ham with interpreting that. (Episode is "Reign Storm")
Tucker is the reincarnation of a pharaoh named "Duu laman" (Duulaman is also accepted as spelling). Said pharaoh never appears in the series. Who does appear is his (evil) right hand man, Hotep-Ra, who tries to manipulate Tucker (Episode is "King Tuck"). That Tucker gets cool magic from this event is fanon. But cool.
Sam gets possesed by Undergrowth via a vine straight into her spine (gross). Undergrowth calls her "his daughter" and she tries to lure Danny into "joining her to take over the world". (Episode is "Urban Jungle"). That Sam gets cool plant powers from this event is fanon. But cool.
The Fenton parents are never abusive - just comedically neglectful in the way parents are depicted in early 2000s cartoons. Incompetent, misguided, dumb... but they are shown to love their kids. The even accept Danny the 2 canon times they find out about him (Episodes "Reality Trip" and "Phantom Planet").
Jazz is never shown as "mature". She is comedically the "annoying and meddling older sister" from early 2000s cartoons.
Axiom labs is bought by Vlad's company "Vlad.co" not "DALV.co". DALV.co was the fake company that paid for Maddie and Danny to fly to a conference but stranded them in a forest where Vlad's cabin coincidentally was. (Episode "Maternal Instincts")
Damian (not Damien or Demian) is never confirmed his religion. Fanon has accepted he is Muslim.
Bruce is from a Jewish family (Martha Wayne was Jewish), but he considers himself an atheist. Same with Kate Kane (Batwoman).
It's "Selina" Kyle, not "Selena" or "Salina".
It's "Talia" Al Ghul, not "Thalia".
It's "Jason", not "Jayson".
Damian is vegetarian, not vegan. It means he doesn't eat meat, but eats animal produces like eggs, milk, etc. He went vegetarian after rescuing Batcow from a slaughterhouse.
Duke is NOT adopted. Bruce is fostering him temporarily and is more of a mentor to him than a father. Duke considers the others his siblings, though.
Dick was not adopted as a kid. Bruce was his foster parent. Adoption happened later in Dick's adulthood.
It's Gotham, not "Gothem".
Cassandra IS adopted. Legally.
Cassandra's nickname is "Cass", not "Cassie". Cassie is the nickname of another character also named Cassandra (Cassandra Sandsmark, Wondergirl)
"Little Wing" is a canon nickname for Jason from Dick.
"Baby bird" or "Baby bat" are completely fanon. But people like to use them to refer to Tim and Damian, respectively.
Stephanie Brown was the 4th Robin. She is not adopted, and was part of the batfamily because she was dating Tim. She is still considered batfamily even if they are not dating anymore.
In Hush, when Jason comes back to Gotham, Jason puts a knife on Tim's throat, but barely leaves a cut. Tim's throat wasn't injured during the Titans Tower attack.
Cass is selectively mute because she wasn't taught any language beyond what she needed to predict people's movements. She doesn't know sign language. She doesn't know how to read and write. But she could learn, with difficulty.
Jason's "Pit Madness" is fanon. Canon offers Ra's saying "the Pit alters the mind - could happen for a few days or for years, you never know" or something like that, and that's it. There is reason to believe that the Lazarus Pit can cloud judgement for a while but there is no voice in the back of the head or the Pit taking over.
Tim never expressed special interest in photography or in it as a hobby. Nor he is a coffee addict more than the other bats, who pull all nighters on the reg.
There are 2 Conner/Kon-El/Superboy I: Young Justice cartoon one (grumpy, same age as Dick, kind of an asshole, has daddy issues, wears black shirt and jeans, has a space motorcycle and a pet wolf) and 90s comics one (leather jacket, piercings, punny guy, same age as Tim, has a #nohomo relationship with Tim).
There are a few Ghost superheroes - Greta Hayes (Secret), she was in Tim's run as Young Justice's leader; and Boston Brand (Deadman), who is a member of Justice League Dark (with Constantine and Zatanna and Swamp Thing!). So the DC heroes are familiar with ghosts and ghost powers.

Suggestions are welcome! Please be kind with each other and remember to have fun with this fandom!
Shazam AU, where Billy keeps his powers even when he’s not Shazam. The only reason he turns into Shazam is to keep a secret identity. Imagine a villain “depowering” him, only to get curbed-stomped by a 10-year-old.

Victoria and Riley picked people (mostly teenagers) that nobody would miss for their army. They all had been dealt a shitty hand in life. Is it me or is that extremely out of character for the Cullens to brutally murder a bunch of brainwashed kids? And the Volturi’s actions didn’t make any sense either.
Also, we’re never given an exact number but from what I counted on the wiki eighteen newborns were named in The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner so I just added another eighteen.
so…thirty-six bouncing baby vampires!
So here’s what I propose:
The Cullens don’t kill the newborns. They incapacitate them. Yes, there is still the epic battle and the newborns have been ripped apart (which is traumatic and the Cullens feel bad but it was necessary) but they’re not burned.
They don’t dismember Bree
She’ll be used as a witness
The Volturi swoop in and the Cullens present the bodies of Victoria and Riley
Jane interrogates/tortures Bree to get information
Learns that none of them knew anything about the laws
The fact that the newborns are in pieces and not ashes aren’t lost on the Volturi
Jane makes the comment about the Volturi not giving second chances
Which is bullshit because the newborns never even got their first chance
Jane agrees to allow the newborns to live. The caveat being that for one year starting on that battlefield the Cullens are responsible for the newborns
Meaning that if any one of them step one toe out of line they’ll rain down hell upon their heads
Jane didn’t do this out of the goodness of her own heart
She had orders
With Carlisle not only generally well-liked amongst vampires (he has quite a few powerful friends), he also has one of the most powerful vampires in existence in his coven
He was a threat but they couldn’t take him out directly
They half hoped the newborns would do it for them. It’s why they didn’t squash the newborns earlier
But they also knew that skilled vampires with experience will win against the newborns any day
They also, to some degree, know Carlisle and his bleeding heart
So they send Jane along with orders
If the Cullens killed all of the newborns, great! Their job has been done for them
If they spared - kill the spares.
It’ll send a message
If they spare more than five newborns, allow the spared ones to live. With the ultimatum of the Cullens being responsible for them as if they created them
Why?
Well it kills some birds with one stone
If the Cullens fail to control the newborns properly (which the Volturi are sure they will) then the decimation of the Cullens would look justified
They could also say that the Cullens knew what they were agreeing to and accepted the potential consequences
They could get rid of the threat and wouldn’t have to deal with the political implications and backlash of the Volturi killing the Cullens for either no legal reason or a flimsy one
The fact the Cullens spared all the newborns was both unexpected and delightful
Aro also wanted to see how it all played out
So he allows it
Breaking Dawn is the Cullens trying to wrangle the thirty-six feral newborns
Edward gives in and Bella is changed and joins the rest of the newborns in training
The Cullens move to the most remote place you can think of
but they still have a hard time controlling all of them (duh)
So they call their vampy friends and ask them to help them out with their pack of feral vampires
Jacob’s pack - Jacob, Seth, Leah, Embry, and Quil - are there too.
Cue vampire-werewolf solidarity
-Insert hundreds of headcanons about The Year of everyone trying to house train thirty-six buck wild baby vampires but this is already too long-
And The Year draws to an end and they did the impossible.
now where the f u c k do the fully grown and matured vampires go now
Some newborns are adopted into covens that helped “raise” them
Others go off by themselves and become solitary nomads
Others form covens among themselves and leave
Some take up the vegetarian diet
others don’t
During the year Bree Tanner and Diego (he’s alive), and Dean grow close to Rosalie and Emmet
the five create an entirely new coven
With Rosalie as the mother figure and Emmet as the father
Renesmee’s name is instead Carlie (a nod towards the canonical name but less gross) and she’s a newborn that develops a close relationship with Edward
They also adopt another newborn, Mason
Essentially Bella, Edward, Mason, and Carlie form a coven of their own and leave to start a new life
Alice and Jasper also adopted a newborn, Heather, and go off on their own
Don’t feel too bad for Carlisle and Esme, having to say goodbye to their adopted children
They adopted four newborns
Warren, Logan, Daniella, and May
Plus their older children visit quite often
Sometimes separately
Sometimes it’s a huge family reunion
Bella’s and Edward’s wedding happens at the very end when they’re all fairly certain she won’t massacre the human guests. Her supernatural beauty is passed off as god tier makeup and contacts
Oh, and Jacob doesn’t imprint on a baby!
Or on this version of her either
And they all lived happily ever after
