not to be That Person but when people are like “why isn’t there a big fandom culture anymore?” umm…

maybe this is why???? That an author can spend hours (if not days or weeks or months) on something, have 1,800 people read it, and only have THREE people willing to take a few extra seconds out of their day to comment. Not even something as simple as “thanks for sharing” or “second kudos” or “❤️”

I’m not the internet police. You decide what you do with your time. Just don’t be surprised if the result is that creators leave your fandoms. I’m not writing to scream into the void. His birthday art, it would seem... Well, first he attracts the bird during his idle animation, now he attracts cats too? He's going to attract other animals in general, at this point 🙃

"But why would I, when I have you? And honestly, it's far more convenient like that!"

"Stop it."

Aware of the hidden rule between you two that his patience mustn't be tested, you willingly remain quiet for the rest of the path, until he places you on a high tree branch.

"Looks like they've been waiting for you."

You barely spent a whole second sitting on the branch, and you could already hear some meows coming from nearby and, soon enough, their origin showing up in your view. All properly taken care of.

"They look so healthy, it's always a relief to see!"

"Hmph. Good for them."

You can't help but progressively glance at him, sitting further away, and giving you a rather gentle - for him - glare, all the while witnessing how your laps turn into fluffballs.

"You take care of them in secret, don't you? That must be it!"

"But some villagers could have done that too. You're not the only one who would willingly become their big prey."

"Riiiiight..."

You won't dig in further about it, but as food for thoughts, you will remember that he, technically speaking, did not deny it.

Just as his sight was recovering by looking elsewhere, and while your hands were busy providing some headpats, one brave cat began meowing toward the familiar-looking living scarecrow figure... with as much bravery as the puppet's lack of scaring effect, for those who got to know him.

"What does it want? Tsk. Just leave me alone already."

Despite his protest, the brave cat soon enough led the charge, resulting in not just his laps getting covered by fluffballs too, much to your awe.

"Fine, you won this time... Let's just get this over with."

As a cat enjoyer, you notice that he doesn't struggle with distributing headpats, nor do they go unnoticed by the fluffballs. You remain quiet, to let him enjoy this temporary yet genuine comfort moment, as brief as it may be.

The headpats demand increases on your laps, resulting in your attention being drawn away from him... much to his relief. The last thing he would want, is someone staring at him, right when he allows himself a break for once.

You know very well that he will deny enjoying that encounter, if asked later about it... but your eyes didn't lie to you, when you witnessed him subtly enjoying the felines' presence.

Ironically... I wasn't inspired at first for the setting to use with her. I didn't want to use the same one for all three; I know recycling is trendy nowadays but eh, variety is good too 🙃

First one was Lisa and I got inspired nearly-instantly after thinking about the song I used for her part... then Beidou and finally Yae.

I quite like the way I wrote her too, and I always try to write characters accurately (canon-divergence might be fun, but more for silly/unserious headcanons, in my opinion), I'm pretty sure I could grasp her personality accurately (way before I started these requests)... or it really is that both she and I share traits in common... well I'm a Yae fan/admirer/simp anyway 😁

As for these two, I went through their profile's voice lines, to check the way they speak, so I could better imagine how they would act. Thank you though, I'm glad 😊

However, it's not impossible that I might come up with more than 3 characters/types. This kind of request sounds like headcanon format to me, with very little to no potential for a fic part (not that they're always supposed to be here though; plus, they depend of how inspired I get) 🧐

their words comfort you. it doesn't matter if you're tough or strong, or if you're prone to the pain and the struggle, they'll comfort you no matter who or what you are.

they'll hold you tight like never before, whispering either comforting, loving, and careful words to you or true and genuine words of wisdom for you to take and use for later on. whether you sob in their arms or feel their embrace in silence— or if you spill everything you've been holding in, they'll take you into a kind hug and let you do what you're comfortable doing.

never do they force anything out of you, nor would they ever force you to be silent in their embrace. their comfort is for you, and while they hold you, it's their job to let you feel comfort in their arms. forcing you into anything simply wouldn't do any good for either of you.

though, if you wish to be left alone, they will let you alone— albeit after asking a few times if you're truly okay with the solitude. they want you to know that they care, and they'll show it by respecting you, your boundaries, and what you want and need.

it doesn't matter what struggle or struggles you've faced or that you're facing. they'll be there to comfort you when needed, and they'll give you the proper space when necessary. they care about you, and they'd also love for you to know that.

so, no matter what, there's always a place for you to go, whether that be in their arms or by a window in the solace of night where either storms or stars hang over the sky, they'll care about you, regardless of where they are or where you are.

If it wasn't for you being slightly less boring, to his eyes, than the rest of people, then there's simply no way he would have accepted your invitation.

"The café? What are you plotting this time?"

"Nothing, I'm just taking some time off today, and so I thought, you could come along too!"

"How amusing. And to think you would need my company just for drinking something."

The two of you sit at a free table, in the shadow provided by the café's umbrellas, the latter not even inviting him to remove his hat.

"Speaking of drinks, since you thought it was a good idea to bring me... get me some tea. The more bitter, the better."

"Still no sugar?"

"Of course not. Bitterness is the taste of life, pure and raw."

"Okay, just wait here then!"

He stays in his seat, crossing his arms, waiting for your return with the order, which is placed on the table soon enough when you come back.

"And there you go!"

With a grin that you know is his personal way of thanking you, he picks his cup and takes a sip from it. This improvised trip here wasn't all for nothing, at least... that is, until something felt off.

"... hey, I thought I told you no sugar. Did your little human brain forget about it? Are you taking me for a fool?"

"No, of course not! I only thought that you could, perhaps... sweeten up your mood a bit, for once! I've never seen you smile or relax, so..."

While your smile grew, his eyes opened wide. If he still were a god, stormy clouds would form on the spot right now, upon witnessing the mere audacity to not only add sugar in his cup, but also make a pun out of the situation.

"... I was wrong about you. You are the fool here. Only you would have the nerve to even dare think about doing something like that."

"Oh come on, even for just one time?"

"Not even in your dreams."

An amused grin grows now on his face, satisfied to have turned down your hope. With now your immeasurable disappointment and your day being ruined, you take a sip from your own drink... only to find that its taste is vastly different from what it should be.

"What's the problem now?"

"Why does my tea tastes like... thyme?"

"Ha! Maybe it's about thyme you know your place. Don't think I will go easy on you next time."

You cannot help but blink, causing him to stretch out his tongue to you, in pure revengeful amusement.

"In fact, it's nearly a wonder I felt like holding back a bit on my Anemo powers. These merchants really don't know how to secure their goods. Just a little bit of wind, and then... poof."

"You're so mean!"

"Hehehe... but I never claimed to be a saint."
