Sapnap knows it’s none of his business but sometimes he sort of feels like it is his business.

Like when they’re giggling and teasing each other like they were after Dream officially declared them as friends, all right in front of him. Or when they spend an entire lunch break arm wrestling with George putting his entire body weight into the challenge and Dream letting him get away with it, wheezing and emphasising their difference in strength. Or when George gets a ride home with Dream instead of taking the bus home even though they live in opposite directions.

Or, Sapnap makes new friends and watches them fall in love

“Dream!” George yelled across the field. His voice was raw and the rage sent a chill down Sapnap’s spine, “Get your fucking shit together!”

George rolled his eyes and turned back to Dream, “I’m serious, pull it together or we’re putting Ranboo in.”

No one mentioned that Sam was partially at fault too or that George definitely didn’t have complete power over substitutions, it was that intimidating.

Dream and George are weird together, but Sapnap and the other freshmen are the only ones to see it. Sapnap doesn't get it.

“Yeah, s’okay.” What else can George say? He can’t demand Dream stay and keep him company, stay and fix him. It’s his own fault, not applying for the visa early enough, as much as he hates to admit it. The tears are back, and he bites his lower lip hard to keep them in. He can’t cry in front of Dream, he can’t.

Dream sounds so confident when he says, “Next year we’ll be together.” George admires his confidence, he wishes he could share it.

It feels sort of dumb, the way George is watching Dream now, instead of the fireworks. He wonders faintly if Dream can see him out of his peripheral, taking in every inch of the blond and the way he looks: wide eyes, chapped lips, all so perfectly Dream.

And he watches those chapped lips part, breathing the softest wisps of air to life with seven simple words.

”I think I’m in love with you.”

See, here’s the thing.  Virgil wasn’t opposed to having more partners than just Patton and Logan.  They’d all talked about that before, and decided that as long as they communicated before they did things, they were okay with just about anything.  Virgil had just never really felt like he had the time.  He had school, and two other partners that took up his time, partners he wasn’t unsatisfied with in the slightest.  Patton was now dating Virgil and Logan and Roman and Janus, and though Patton seemed to have this balance thing down, well, pat, it sounded exhausting for Virgil.  He didn’t want two more partners to actually build a life with.  He was perfectly satisfied with the ones he had.

…He kind of just wanted to kiss Janus and Roman’s faces off a little bit.

For sure I love reading fanfics! Although I haven't had the time recently to read any; here's some of my favourites:

I can't choose which fic I like best but anything by Arwriter is some of my favourite stuff. They write for other fandoms too but I think everyone need's to read their fics! Their Learned Behaviour series is one of my favourites!

Turn of Phrase takes the concept of 'bruised ego' and RUNS w it!

Heartbeat is hands-down a comfort fic for me it's so sweet

Myosotis memory loss has so much angst

Tipping the Scales would be a shame if smth were to happen to Janus' scales hmm also just genuinely also recommend this author I love their work

Soft Rains just some Thomas and Janus angst and comfort

To Sew A Liar is one of my favourite takes of Janus taking things to the extreme

So There's These...People... isn't exactly angst but it's just a fic I can recommend to anyone in this fandom. I'm loving it so far and who doesn't want more Nico?
