He looked at George, and George looked at him, and for a second neither of them moved.

For a second, George thought it would actually happen.

But then Dream broke, pulling away and tilting his head back and laughing magnificently. In any other circumstance, George would have been laughing too. He was just contagious like that. But not tonight. Not now.

Now, there was only want so thick it had begun to boil into rage.

“Well go on, then. Kiss me, coward. You won’t.”

George arrives in Florida, and George finds a letter that Dream wrote him and never sent. What follows is a lot of self-indulgent nostalgia, reminiscing on seven years of friendship and new love.

I read the fic a while ago and it was like, dream had a lot of money from his shitty dead dad and he and George were spending it traveling but they’d also kind of fight and it wasn’t exactly a healthy relationship but It was really potent and I think I discovered it on this page

Chapter One

Chapter 4/6:

Logan had not expected what had come of his conversation with Janus.  He hadn’t expected Janus and Roman to be what they were like at all.  His own experience with soulmates had set him very firmly against them.  But since Patton had met Janus and Roman, he’d been thinking, and he hadn’t been able to stop doing so.

Logan had spent a lot of time recently looking down at the sentences on his wrist and reevaluating how he felt about them.

“Wow, you’re weird.”

“As if we’d want an emotionless robot as a soulmate.”

There was a little less room for interpretations there than there was when it came to Patton’s situation.  Especially considering Logan had already had the experience.

He did not want to try and find his soulmates again.  They had made their opinions very clear, they had made no effort to apologize like Roman and Janus had.  (They apologized immediately.  They had immediately realized their mistake.  Logan didn’t know what to make of that.)

His soulmates had proven themselves unworthy of a second chance.  Roman and Janus… well, Logan was starting to think they were proving themselves worthy of one.
