...and the bard-druid-monk-ranger-wizard! I think we've got this, right, @chennington ?

Prince Mith presents: “The Poet In Me”

Isabella Diamonde, an ordinary country girl with seafoam orbs and honey-colored tresses, knows she’s taking a risk when she applies as a housemaid in the Black Estate. After all, an air of dark mystery surrounds its Count, the chisel-jawed and arrogant Arthorious Black, who is famed for his provocative iconoclastic poems and happens to be mesmerizingly handsome. But what choice does Isabella have? After all, her father, who always saw her as a burden, is terribly ill and can’t afford treatment.
Before Isabella knows it, she is caught in a downward spiral of sinister secrets and devouring passion, where desires pool darkly, salacious confessions are whispered and ejaculated, and inner deities dance to scandalous rhythms unheard of before.
And there’s bondage too!

Following last week’s poll, I decided to exchange the weekly bonus poems for one or two pages of “The Poet in Me,” a satire romance novel where I’ll try to fulfill every romance cliche, break every writing rule, and use every flowery adjective and metaphor to have ever been seen on a page. A little respite beside the serious writing for “Dreams of the Dying.”
Starting next week, I’ll release a new page on my Patreon each Tuesday for Patrons and probably make it public here on Tumblr a week later.
Please reblog if you think Isabella Diamonde’s and Arthorious Black’s story is worth being told! :)
He'd seen them all: lovers, liars, dreamers, and pretenders. He'd seen the lucky and those whom luck had forsaken; winners and losers... and cheaters.
Some were here to "go somewhere"; some were here because they had nowhere to go. Some came to nourish the soul; some came to forget they had one.
Most were as ordinary as the summer day is long; a few seemed to have stepped in from another world.
This was the place where deals were struck, promises were made, and broken; where one might find a soul mate or a bed mate, or may take in the flow and tangle of voices, melodies, and bodies from a lonely corner.
None of them stayed for long, though. Dreams faded, plans faltered; the appeal lost its luster in the light of day, with strong coffee in the mug rather than ale. Perhaps some of the ambitious ones, or the lucky ones, moved on to pursue those plans and dreams. He didn't know... none ever stayed for long -- except for one, and she curled into the crook of his arm every night after cleaning up the messes.
Being American, I am most familiar with temperatures in °F, but I can relate certain °C values with no need for mathematical gyrations:
15°C: Nice! I might consider a light jacket
20°C: Perfect for any outdoor activity, no jacket, no shoes, no problem
30°C: I am wallowing in a pool of my own sweat and am poised to lay waste to anyone who vexes me
There's nothing more to say...
Stirring art, true words
“ The fire demon of the rainforests “ As you know, I rarely refer to current affairs in my work, but this whole situation with rainforest fires in South America really makes me sad and angry. And a few weeks ago a similar situation in Syberia… It is really heartbreaking for me when I think about all these animals and amazing wild nature ecosystem which will just vanish. I don’t have enough knowledge to speak on this topic, for sure it is a lot more complicated than it seems, but I just wanted to make something, to not feel totally useless, and support everyone who tries fight with this catastrophic situation, Junglekeepers and all my friends in Brazil.
It would be much more beautiful if we could unite in a heroic fight against some powerful demon… unfortunately, the reality is much less heroic and it seems that we, as a species, are the demon in that story :( Here you can support and donate: https://ealliance.org/amazonfund/ work process: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/KaQbE4
