Never let anybody ridicule your beliefs. It’s human to find divinity in the mundane. It’s human to turn to the divine for answers. It’s not a matter of intelligence, like some would like to think. It’s a matter of human nature and instinct.
So leave some honey out for the fae, find omens in the patterns of the clouds, or hang wind chimes outside like your grandma used to do. Don’t let anybody call you anything other than human.
HYMN TO HEPHAISTOS
Indomitable Hephaestos, mighty, great-hearted spirit, glittering one, shimmering one, great god who illuminates the lives of mortals, strong-handed lord who lives in your works, great craftsman of the cosmos, perfect element, highest, all-consuming, all-taming, all-commanding—you are the sun, the moon, the stars, and the sky, all the pure lights: these things are the parts of you seen by the world. You may be found in every nation, every city, every home; and you reside in the bodies of humans, mighty giver of a multitude of blessings. Hear me, holy one, as I call you to this sacred libation, please come gently to the rites of welcome, tame the savage anger of wild fire, even as nature burns in our own bodies.

Introduction Post
Hello! I’m displaced. You can just call me by my username. I’m 22. I lean more HelPol. I’m a devotee of Hades. Don’t mind me if you see me popping in every so often. I’m just an entity in a body that feels most at home with the gods. 🖤
Here are photos of my cats as a thank you for taking the time to pop in.
Their names are Patches, Hermes and Nightmind.
When you step into sunlight, you honor Apollo. When you admire the moon, you honor Artemis. When you admire cloud shapes, you honor Hera. When you smell petrichor, you honor Zeus. When you laugh at a joke, you honor Hermes. When your body twitches to dance at a particularly upbeat music, you honor Dinoysus. When you enjoy the first bite of your breakfast, you honor Demeter. When you choose your peace over any conflict, you honor Athena. When you warm yourself up by sheltering yourself in blanket, you honor Hestia. When you listen to Ocean sounds, you honor Poseidon. When you smell flowers, you honor Persephone. When you admire the coolness of first day of Autumn, you honor Hades. When you wear your favourite jewellery, you honor Hephaestus. When you smile, you honor Aphrodite. When you exercise, you honor Ares. When you light a torch in a dark room, you honor Hekate.
Your body is a shrine to Gods, your being an act of devotion for them. You, by yourself, are enough for them.
Having a himalayan salt lamp as an eternal flame for Hestia
Candles and incense are good low-energy offerings
Dedicating baths/showers to Aphrodite
If you have pets, devote taking care of them to Artemis
Do what you can and what feels right!! Each person's practice is different
You are in fact allowed to make mistakes
Making a snack/beverage and offering it to a deity/deities, or inviting them to share it with you
If you're learning a language (or multiple!) dedicate it to Hermes
Make playlists for your deities
If you make art/ play any musical instruments, dedicate those activities to Apollo
Try to look for the theoi in your everyday life, even in the mundane things
If you workout, dedicate that to Ares
Similarly, if you play sports, dedicate that play to Hermes
If you have a garden or plants, dedicate taking care of them to Demeter and Persephone
If you’re having a hard day remember that the Gods still love you.
They know every single one of your flaws and they still love you.
They have seen every one of your mistakes and they still love you.
They have loved you through every failed relationship, every bad job, every moment you are not proud of. They do not feel betrayed by you, and they do not expect you to condemn yourself forever for things you have done.
The Gods know humanity, and they know we are not perfect. Never once have they expected you to be flawless.
Hail the Gods, I am so grateful for their love and protection
Today I was telling my nephews myths about the Greek gods (they're really young), and one of them said "I think every time we talk about the gods, they listen to us." And that really, really maked me emotional. I just love sharing this part of me with them, even if they don't know that i'm hellenic.
Does anyone else’s deities get really aggressive with ya when you are sick and not resting when you should be?
It’s like guys I know but most meds don’t work for me and I can’t sit down for more than 5 minutes without having to always be constantly doing something..
You do not have to be filled with boundless faith and zero doubt 24/7. That's actually not a reasonable expectation to have for yourself. You'll feel doubt sometimes, and that's entirely ok and normal. I promise you that everyone has gone through periods of doubt, regardless of what faith they hold.
