Something bad happened today. I feel really, really bad about it. it's not something I can talk about, I don't want my friends to know yet. I'm going to write about it I think. I have really, really nice friends.

I have a little brother now, too! Turns out those deer i saved from the zoo were normal toon deer and not deer toons, which my brother Sassafras is! Me and him are both considered "deer toons", while "toon deer" are animals that happen to look like cartoons. They don't talk and think like we do.

Anyways, he was following the deer herd around because he got confused like I did. His mom and dad aren't in the picture, he says some mean blue poachers came to get them and took them away in handcuffs, so he hid under a bush and pretended to be a toon deer. I think those were probably cops. He's safe now, which is the important thing. My friend isn't upset with me even though I got us into this mess. They're letting Sassafras stay in their room while I figure out a job.

This whole situation is familiar in a way that makes me really, really uncomfortable. I'm going to write about it and then see if Sassafras wants to talk. I'm all he has now.
