Ohhhh here I am, milking the Big Indie Show. I quite liked ep 1, but I've been on the fence about 2 and 3, since the 'find an exit' central focus has kind of been dropped. I get that the exit was fake, but I still feel that Pomni should be a lot more annoying (ask questions) about anything and everything regarding how the circus works. It's only at ep 3 (at time of creating this post), so we'll see how I feel about the future eps.
Really like the pose I came up for her here. Very anxious π. That's the thing I've really enjoyed while making the sticker designs, I really want to convey the character's personality with their pose.

Ohuhu Markers on Mixed Media Paper
I've been wanting to make a duo mermaid/siren set of illustrations. So I tried to do it,,,, uhhhh I really don't like it π
I tried to use these to try and getter better at using markers... And yeah I'd be surprised if I ever tried to fix these (I def could w coloured pencils + paints, but at this point I think it's more likely that I just restart this from scratch,, esp since i don't like the mermaid's design). Most likely gonna stick to markers being a small part of mixed media pieces I do, rather than the majority.

Krita
Another drawing I did to embed in a fic. Not even gonna tag it with hazbin stuff because it's 99% noncanon shite.

Krita
"Alastor landing in hell and seeing himself for the first time" moment I drew.
Made it to uh embed in a fic that I wrote,,,a klalfghg, d, a,,, Ughhghghg dude if anyone I know irl ever reads this it's over for me like forrealππππ
Drew this using krita on my tablet and exporting/saving the .kra file without it becoming mysteriously corrupt was such a struggle. Krita is absolutely horrendous on my tablet.

Quick little something stickers I made. I think it'll be funny to mass produce these and put em on everything π
No annoying ass watermark for these cos it's simple enough that I don't feel I have the right to be all protective over it

Okay so here's me continuing my sticker design escapades. Now the motivation is to eventually sell them at my uni's yearly nerd fest in the artist's alley >:)
This was also the start of me challenging myself to complete one drawing a day for as long as I could since it was summer and I had the time.
Finished this in one day! Whoaa actually hit a goal of the day for once!
You know, I don't really like a lot of the characters' designs (including this guy) from HH, but it grew on me when I was drawing him.
When I first realised that I should make his hat-fire the light source I thought it would go terribly, but I really like how it turned out.
Switched to ibis paint X for drawing--it's wayyy better for drawing on a tablet than krita. I can see why people call it a beginner program since the interface is really easy to use and get a hang of. Krita is great, but it's impossible to use on a tablet/without a keyboard for shortcuts.
I also like Ibis' feature where it records your progress. Really fun to look back on how i drew shite. It also records how long smth takes which is fun to see how embarassingly slow I am.
One of the many jinx fanarts
I feel like I have problems with her proportions, but I don't know what exactly. I think it's just cause her design is more realistic than the others I made stickers of so I'm not as used to it. I'll have to see it printed out to decide whether or not there's a problem.
Fun drawing her, liked doing the crazy colours/lighting. Also love drawing braids β€οΈ
Edited (idk what exact date) to make her face rounder (it was really sharp b4)
This is the last of the first batch of ten sticker designs. It was after this (when I was going to place the order) that I realised I only needed one π (er- 2 because I had 2x the deal). My personal favourite was the Hellboy Angel of Death, so I put in that one. Alien Xenomorphs won the popular vote amongst friends, so that was the one used for the second order.
I like the vibes of this one. Simple but sufficient
Finished this during a little art cafe event I did with friends.
God, I love this guy. Can't believe I actually beat nkg.
Would've made it nkg cause cmon it's nkg, but I like normal grimm's colour scheme better.
Top version is the edited/new one (done on 10/14/2024). While the fire isn't nearly as prominent, I like it a lot better than the former version.
Hey I think I'm super cool and smart and clever for including all of his (ahem spoilers) black space deaths in the design π
Edited on 10/14/2024 to adjust the colours and simplify his back foot. The original one looked a bit washed out so I amped up the colours (I'll still want to see how it looks printed to decide on what I want to do, though)
Zagreus sticker design. I drew it using the same style as all the other stickers, but I kind of regretted that, purely because the face doesn't look like zag. I eventually redrew it in the Hades style. You'll see it eventually ;)
Edited on 10/14/2024 to add some detail/gradients since the design was a tad too simple beforehand.
Shout out to my friend who pointed out that blud looked like a baby which made me realise i completely forgor his facial hair.
Yeah uh sorry for the annoying ass watermarks. ik that it decreases viewer engagement, but isn't that a double whammy if you don't include a watermark? More people see it and it's more stealable.
My little cutie guy. I'm obsessed obsessed with him, have been since I first saw the movie way back when β¨
Used a slightly different style and didn't do fullbody because I couldn't find a pose--his head/hands are the main focus anyways
Drew the majority of this when I should've been working on a presentation π£οΈπ£οΈ
Edited afterwards to increase the contrast btwn the colours and increase the width of the green stripe because the stickers I received from stickermule were really dark.
Most of the details are made up because there weren't many clear reference pictures, and the details varied depending on the reference anyways.

Animation I made to showcase the movement and associated friction points (red) of the mechanism we made for DP4 π.
Just a quick lil animation, was funny busting this out.
OK. So krita 5.5.2 having ffmpeg just in the normal installation is so much more convenient than having to download it separately??? BRO I needed to get this done the day I started it and downloading ffmpeg was gonna take a whole day π. -7kB/s goofy ahhh
I ended up exporting the individual frames and uploaded them to openshot video editor to get the video. AND THEN openshot would not export as a .gif correctly so I exported as a .mp4 and then converted it to gif format w convertio π―ββοΈπ―ββοΈπ―ββοΈ
If I had just known I coulda just updated krita ππ©βοΈ. Would've saved me sm hassle π
I LOVE this guy's design. Go crazy every time they're on screen.
Mannn Guillermo del toro is so good at what he does. The special fx / costume design in so many of his movies is top tier ugh π©π
I'm so sad he didn't make a hellboy 3 and instead it got rebooted :(((((
Forever wounded ππ
Here's the start of an era. I started making sticker designs because I got a stickermule deal of 10 stickers for 1$. I thought that it meant 10 sticker designs (it wasn't LMAO), but the misconception was good because it made me make 10 different designs >:J
Starting off strong w a sandworm sticker because great monster sticker design,,, I should make a beetlejuice illustration sometime im obsessed
Anyways, I was way too motivated for this when I should have been doing classwork, but the heart wants what the heart wants.
I might go back and redraw it in a more tim burton esque style, but I also like it how it is so we'll see.
Also this is the start of me being consistent with my 'signature' and adding annoying ass watermarks because stickers are quite possibly the most stealable designs. (and I don't trust yall)

This was a painting me and my ex started way back when. I ended up taking it to my dorm and working on it periodically over the above timespan. I wanted to get it done before the end of the semester. I got pretty close, but there's still a few things I've got to do to finish up this painting.
It's a fun piece. I like nonsense things like this because there's no rules. Any problems/things that look wrong just add to the piece ππ
Was me figuring out colour theory- mainly just not shading with black to get more dynamic shadows or whtvr

1p lego assignment for bonus marks. They supplied drawings for the lego figure itself, but we would get more bonus marks for adding a special feature. I went all out and made a little lego hellboy.
When I first started this, I hadn't realised that we were supposed to follow drawings they gave us so I just made the figure on my own. Did that by looking at pictures of lego figures and just recreating it. And then I found out all my work was for naught π’
Might 3D print this some day, but if I did I would remake the legs and leg connector. They didn't do it the way normal lego figures are (which is slightly more complicated,, not much though) and so the legs look dumber than they should.

Some Alice in wonderland redesigns I was playing with during uni.
Want to go back to and properly draw each one

Hellboy posterish thing I wanted to make. Went with a mix of the comic hellboy and how he looks in the movies. I love Mike Mignola's art style, but I didn't want to rip it off completely. Especially since I'm most familiar with movie hb, so I wanted it to resemble Ron Perlman's hellboy,, (slightly, ok? π)
It's still not finished. Need to clean up the marker with some pencil crayons. This was my first time using some gifted ohuhu markers on a piece, and let me tell you markers are, like, the least forgiving medium. I'm predicting that's why they pair so well with pencil crayons (they be there to fix them mistakes ππ).
I learned that you have to be really purposeful with using the markers, cause a second pass will completely change the colour. This is what happened with his coat on the right and it bugs me everytime I look at it.
Some white acrylic paint was used to hide some leftover pencil marks in the bg.
I had had all of the weapons sketched in, but I changed it to be one big silhouette so it wouldn't compete with the piece's other details
The last picture is a little doodle of hb i did for fun. (I LOST THE FILE?!?? I hate my tablet's file system it's so badddd)
Edit** Finished it eventually (do not know the date xd) so I added it here instead of making another post πβ€οΈπ

Three tiny little paintings I did during a paint night with friends. Played around with underpainting and letting the chosen colour shine through.

December 30, 2023 - January 4, 2024
Sketched/inked throughout winter break, painted during jan 4 paint night.
I had first thought up a piece like this years ago, and it was meant to be an illustration of what I imagine when I listen to Wriggle by Cosmo Sheldrake. I found it over the winter break and got inspired to make this. Didn't take a picture of the old concept, but the bird and the masquerade mask were both parts of it. And me using the red/yellow colour palette was me staying true to the og concept.
Took a scan of the lineart before colouring in the mask. Had to do it twice because the painting was too big for the scanner π₯². Still need to splice together the two imgs to get the full piece as one scan.
The gold bits were painted on sometime sem2 year1 of uni (and after the end date listed above) but it was so little that I'm fine w the fake finish date.
I was planning on colouring the entire piece, but the mask in it of itself was annoying enough, and I thought it looked good w just that part coloured. I've asked around if people think it looks finished with how it is now, and most people say no π. I've gotten different suggestions for what to do to make it look more complete, but I don't really fw any of them (but I also think it looks does as is, so I'm not inclined to modify it at all in the first place).
The suggestions:
Colour the candelabra in blues to compliment the mask
Add shading to the rest of the obj

Sketches: ~April 5-12 2021
Paper Art: December 19-30, 2023
First doodled the sketch in class, then drew it on wc paper to make it a full blown illustration. After that it sat for two years and I finally picked it up again. I don't know why I got the idea to make it 3D paper art, but I'm glad I did. The piece is complicated enough that there's a lot of interesting overlap, and it let me make Rosewood's horns bigger.
The background was originally going to be a wall full of eyes, and I had the idea of also making those 3D so it would look like they're moving. But I was too lazy to do that lolll. I have a psychedelic neon background thingy instead that I'll have to print sometime.
