This prompt somehow unlocked all my memories of being obsessed with jackalopes every halloween.
Like how the fur texture ended up π

Grackle guy that I think I made after the Steller's jay painting, but it's really anyone's guess. It's either that or it was made wayyyy before
Its lowkey ugly it was prolly before this date

Behold! Four versions of the same drawing
Started in 2022, along with a lot of omori wips, and then didn't finish it until almost a year later. π
All in all, is a fun piece. I enjoy the nonsense perspective 10/10 love nonsense perspectives ππ―ββοΈπͺπͺ

Here's the beginning of my inktober escapades. All of the prompts are from my uni's art club. I was planning on using both this prompt list and the official one (for certain prompts where I need more to get my brain going), but the official prompt list is kinda ass this year.
Challenging myself to only use my one brush pen that i've never used before (along with no sketching beforehand) for all the drawings
This one was pretty fast, but then the stars were really annoying and took a decent amt of time. I like how they turned out, though.
Gonna post them all separately because I have things to say about each separate one ππ

IbisPaintX
The last of the drawings I made to embed in a fic I'm never gonna finish πβοΈ
Also I really don't like this drawing in hindsight. I'm fine with it in the show, but everytime I try to emulate the ultra skinny proportions of hazbin I really don't end up liking it.
I originally had these drawings posted on a secret sideblog so it wouldn't be associated with me, but fuck it we ball.

Originally I wanted to manually create/CAD/sculpt my own articulated finger extensions, but I had the self awareness to figure out that that was beyond my skill level. Also there's so many CAD models of these online it was a bit too easy. I still want to make my own version of these someday, but 2021 was not the time π
OH yeah even before that I didn't just want to make finger extensions, I wanted to make a wooden arm and hand that hand moveable fingers. Inspired by smth similar I saw on yt. I think I was deterred from this option because of how difficult it would've been to carve the wood.
I got the CAD models for free on thingyverse β€οΈ. At first I tried 3D printing these on my 3D printer, but I didn't know how to adjust the settings to have a print actually work (pieces would always peel up from the build plate) so I eventually outsourced it to my auto teacher lmao.
Assembling these was a trip, but we made it through >:) πͺ
Didn't end up ever painting these guys, so they just existed as uglies.

IbisPaintX + Movavi
Wanted to do the thing where I see how much my style is influenced by what brush I use. Was fun! There were a few others that I halfway finished, but I like this lineup of four that I got done. Cool to see how different they are. Airbrush supremacy tho πͺπͺπͺ
Used a ref from pinterest for this one (now I'm a certified real artist π)
Used movavi to create the gif so that it wouldn't have the huge ibispaint logo on it

Cute painting I made with a decent amount of 3D elements. The shapes themselves are 3D because of the acrylic. Although the acrylic I used bordered on too soft-bodied for this purpose. It dried decently flat and there are holes littered throughout,,, idk why that is. It's not terrible, I just needta keep that in mind if I ever do smth like this again if I want better results.
This piece was rlly big so I did it on the floor. I had a lot of moments of getting angry at my dogs for being stupid and walking on it.
The 3D peeling away was achieved with newspaper and a lot of mod podge. That part's taken quite the beating since this painting was made, and a couple of the pieces have fallen off.
I like the contrast in this piece, and painting the little revealed part was my favourite part of the project.
