Toga: I’m sure it is. Remember the month Deku spent narrating his life just to annoy Shigaraki?

[Flashback]

Deku: I sat quietly on the uncomfortable chair while cringing at the questionable plan Shigaraki was coming up with.

Shigaraki: [glaring]

Deku: Of course, I’d never tell him of his rampant stupidity, but somehow I think he knew.

Shigaraki: [glaring intensifies]

Deku: As the days pass, I find myself wondering more and more why I stay here instead of simply over throwing the moronic manchild that-

Shigaraki: [PUNCH]

[Later]

Deku: I awoke several hours later in a daze…

“I want to beat them. Even though I’m not cool, or strong, or just, or beautiful, or cute, or pretty, I want to beat the cool, strong, just, beautiful, cute, and pretty people. Even though I wasn’t blessed with talent, even though I’m stupid and have a bad personality, have bad grades, am misguided and am a good for nothing, I want to beat the talented, smart, likeable, overachieving people. I want to beat those with friends when I can’t have friends. I want to beat the people who work hard when I can’t work hard. I want to beat the the victorious people when I can’t win. I want to beat the happy people when I’m miserable. Even if I’m hated, even if I’m despised, even if I’m useless, I want to prove that I’m better than the main characters!”

Everyday I am more and more thankful that I don't live in America. The more time that goes on the more the country seems to shift into third world status. This is disgraceful, nay it's abhorrent.

How in the hell can society go backwards like this? How can people agree to take away rights, to decrease the amount of freedom people have?

That’s quite an impressive feat there.

Tell me if you do this at all people:

Watches a live action show of a book/videogame

Hasn't seen any of the source material and has no idea if the show is good or not or if it's even "loyal" to the source material

Takes a peek at what Tumblr and other social medias say about it before forming an opinion

Secretly like the show itself while everyone else dunks on it, forcing you to hide your shameful positive opinion least you be ostracized by the many fans that want to take their rage out on something for this horrid indignity.

Eventually you absorb the hate and even though you like it you have to hate it.

Sooooo moral of the story is... I dunno. I don't really know where I was going with this but halfway through writing I wonder about something, if I had seen the source material beforehand would I still enjoy a show about it? Would I hate it for not being "loyal" if I had knowledge of every intricate detail of lore and the specific behaviours of each and every character?

Anyway, that my 36 hour of consciousness bored rant, night everybody
