For those who have no idea what the fuck is going on with Markiplier today

A couple days ago, Coryxkenshin made a video about YouTube's favoritism and how it's very likely having racist influences

It had a lot of receipts for proof and things like this have happened more than once

I highly recommend checking it out, it's short and to the point and explains the situation

But basically his playthrough of a horror game that's popular right now was age-restricted, cause of some self-harm scene

despite other youtubers of his fame level still had their videos up and with this segment still tacked on

So he sent a clip of Mark's segment (probably cause he's non-white like Cory) to prove his point

It lead to both of them getting age-restricted

Now at this point today, other youtubers made videos defending Cory like Ludwig and Jacksepticeye (jack even having personal experience with his girlfriend getting the same treatment, so it could be a case of sexism maybe as well)

Mark decided to take a different route than the long talk format:

Try Not To Get Age-Restricted Challenge, where he played an adult game. He blurred everything out of course, but he still uploaded it and didn't age-restrict it

A great move, as many people like myself were curious why this was uploaded and found the situation out

WELL IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT TODAY...

Mark uploaded this the same day he was to appear in a YouTube hosted livestream where a bunch of gamers got together to play some minecraft and other shit

If I could high-five Mark, I would

So at this point, YouTube could age-restrict this video Mark uploaded, but all eyes would be on them since everyone would Know why they did this

So instead, they went a different route:

Cut out a huge chunk of Mark's segment

That he recorded and edited together

with his editors' help

On a deadline to get this out FOR YOUTUBE

So that only about 30 SECONDS was left in the stream

Keep in mind Mark's face was the biggest on the thumbnail of the livestream

AAAND he apparently wasn't shown in the entire rest of the livestream either

Mark confirmed this on Twitter that his thing was cut

And said he would upload the whole segment tomorrow

So here is how Mark used his YouTube golden boy status to look them in the eyes and give them the middle finger.

The Other You (T) written with @chocoluckchipz-bag [WIP] A Marichat friends-to-lovers fic where Adrien and Marinette are estranged from miscommunication on Adrien’s end. This story is very fun and very fluffy.

Broken (T) written with @raydara12 [WIP] After his brother and his mother died from a car accident, Adrien becomes a police officer. In this AU, Adrien never met Marinette and Ladybug and Cat Noir do not exist. This story is very exciting to read and is quick-paced.

Under Lock and Key (T) written with @edendaphne [WIP] While babysitting Manon, Adrien and Marinette go to the Louvre. Manon decides it would be funny to handcuff Adrien and Marinette together. Shenanigans ensue because the Louvre won’t let them take the handcuffs off.

Don’t Worry, Beer Happy (M) to be completed by @raydara12 [WIP] Both Marinette and Adrien work at a bar. Disguised in masks to prevent patrons from recognizing them, Marinette and Adrien take the charade even further by pretending to date each other. This story is hilarious and fluffy and I honestly don’t see why it’s rated M other than the fact that it’s set in a bar.

Maerynn’s Miraculous Short Stories (T) [Incomplete] A series of Love Square drabbles to remain incomplete. Some drabbles are drawn out over multiple chapters and others are not.

Bundled Miracle (M) to be completed by @raydara12 [WIP] As is implied by the title, Marinette is accidentally pregnant with Cat Noir’s kid. However, the reveal is quick. The only problem now is Gabriel’s reaction and how Ladybug will act with Hawk Moth still out and about. Adrien and Marinette love each other, making this story very special.

Bring Me Home (M) [Complete] Bring Me Home is 41 chapters long and I don’t currently have time to read it all, so I’m just copying what Mae wrote. “Everybody deals differently with the consequences of Hawkmoth’s defeat. The day after, Ladybug eagerly awaits her silly kitty, finally ready to hand him her heart and start a new chapter of their story with him. He never shows up. The day after, Adrien Agreste shuts the whole world out, ashamed of his father’s action, while Marinette grows more and more exhausted and depressed as the years go by. Five years later, can anything really be salvaged out of the remnants of their relationship?”

[Currently unnamed sequel to Bring Me Home] (Unrated) to be written by @raydara12 and a few other people This work hasn’t been released yet, but I understand that Mae outlined it quite a bit to follow Carlisle and Emma.

Of Daffodils and Second Chances (M) [Complete] Cat Noir died in the collapse of the Agreste Mansion, a tragedy that killed Gabriel Agreste and Hawk Moth as well as leaving Adrien Agreste in a two-week coma. A year after waking up, Adrien wanders past Cat Noir’s memorial, finding his missing partner and best friend sobbing her heart out. This story is very sweet and has a fluffy ending.

Soulmates (T) written with @edendaphne, @kryallaorchid, and @midnightstarlightwrites for @chocoluckchipz-bag [Complete] A series of four birthday drabbles revolving around the Love Square being soulmates. Mae’s story has soulmate marks, being that if one soulmate hurts herself, then the other soulmate finds that bruise on his body. It is very fluffy.

The Cat, the Bell, and the Wardrobe [Malfunction] (T) written with @eizabet, @midnightstarlightwrites, @kryallaorchid, and @chocoluckchipz-bag for @edendaphne [Complete] A six-part story where Cat Noir has a functioning zipper-bell. Mae’s story has the malfunction be Alya’s fault. It is quite hilarious.

Both of You (M) [Complete] Both of You is 55 chapters long and I currently don’t have time to read it all, so I’m just copying what Mae wrote: “Chat Noir finds Marinette sobbing on her balcony one night, very clearly upset. Concerned about his friend’s well-being, he goes out of his way on both sides of his mask to try and put a smile back on her lips. As they both learn to know each other better, they unveil secrets and newfound feelings. Will their unexpected blooming friendship be without consequences?”

A Beautiful Mistake (M) [Complete] Warning: Rape/Non-Con A Beautiful Mistake is 34 chapters long and I currently don’t have time to read it all, so I’m just copying what Mae wrote: “One single digit can change many things. Utterly pissed off at Alya one very early morning, Marinette misdials her best friend’s number and ends up telling off an unsuspecting stranger, who is, unknown to her, none other than her high school crush. From there, Adrien and Marinette grow closer on both sides of the screen through anonymous texting as they also reunite years after graduating through work. Marinette has to face a painful scar of her past in order to move forward with her heart, but luckily for her, Adrien might be the one able to help her heal.”

Maerynn wrote 12 stories for the Miraculous Ladybug fandom and had at least one other story in the works. From my understanding, she was also working on her own original story. I will be sharing this post once a month for the next year for each story she wrote and then two months after that for the stories she planned on writing. A way that people stay immortal is through memories. I don’t think Mae’s memory should fade away in this fandom. I want all the new people, the children growing up watching this show, the teens turning to Tumblr for the first time, and the adults enjoying the show with their kids to know Mae’s works and to see the kindness she put in the world (when said kids are old enough to read them, that is). Please respect the other authors and artists on this list, especially those who decided to continue Mae’s stories. Thank you.

WHAT TO DO AT AN ICE CHECKPOINT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE A WHITE CITIZEN

(please, please, please copy, paste, and share widely):

-Border Patrol can verify citizenship within 100 miles of a border or “external boundary.” This includes coastlines so NYC is within the 100-mile zone.

-Border patrol can only ask brief questions about citizenship, and they cannot hold you for an extended time without cause.

-You always have the right to remain silent. You do not need to answer their questions.

-***WITH THAT SAID, IF YOU ARE A BORN CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES AND ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE WHITE, YOU NEED TO SPEAK THE FUCK UP.***

-The most important acts of resistance are the small ones. Make it difficult and uncomfortable for ICE agents to do their jobs. They are counting on citizens to turn a blind eye and allow them to deport undocumented citizens without challenge. Disabuse of that notion.

-If you are on a train, bus, or anything else and ICE or CBP boards, you need to stand up and loudly let everyone know that they have the right to remain silent or only answer questions in the presence of an attorney, no matter their citizenship or immigration status. There have been numerous reports that confronting the agents in this way has caused them to leave without verifying citizenship. THIS CAN SAVE LIVES.

-If you see anyone being held up by immigration, loudly ask if they are being detained and if they are free to go.

-Immigration officers cannot detain anyone without reasonable suspicion, an agent must have specific facts about you that make it reasonable to believe you are committing or committed, a violation of immigration law or federal law.

If an agent detains you, you can ask for their basis for reasonable suspicion, and they should tell you.

-Always say no to a search and let everyone know that they can and should refuse consent to a search.

-They cannot search or arrest anyone without facts about that make it probable that they are committing, or committed, a violation of immigration law or federal law.

-Silence alone meets neither of these standards. Nor does race or ethnicity alone suffice for either probable cause or reasonable suspicion

-As white citizens, we have a level of privilege which protects us from retaliation from ICE for being “rude” and making a scene, which makes it our DUTY to speak up and make sure people without the same privilege know their rights. GET LOUD. YELL. YELL IN SPANISH IF YOU KNOW IT. LET PEOPLE KNOW THEY DON’T HAVE TO SAY SHIT. MAKE ICE UNCOMFORTABLE. THROW SAND IN THE GEARS OF WHITE SUPREMACY.

BONUS INFO:

-It is perfectly legal to record immigration agents as long as you are not on government property or at a port of entry. If your train/bus gets board, pull your phone out and start videotaping immediately.

-If you are detained or see someone getting detained, get the agent’s name, number, and any other identifying information. Get it on tape.

-Contact the ACLU if you see someone’s rights being violated.

So, last night, I was getting ready to go out with my boyfriend to a dance at my school (which was cancelled due to lack of ticket sales) and, I had a nice black vest and a nice white shirt, and my uncle had just came home the other day from the mine (my uncle is homophobic and he has abused me many times throughout my child hood) and when I had came out of my room to show my memere how nice I looked, my uncle was in the room that i thought my grandma/memere would be in (she was downstairs doing laundry), and he asked me why I wasnt wearing a dress. my memere and dad both know that I am transgendered and they respect that, however, my uncle does not, and he did not know. so I decided to sit down and tell him the truth. he listened carefully and quietlly through all of it, but at the end of my explanation he had said, “I didn’t raise you to be fucked up.” I agreed, I am a huge mess, I have been for years, but my sexuality and gender identity is not a fuck up, so I argued with him. he got to a point where, after so many months of piece, he slapped me. and threw me to the ground and kicked me in the stomach, of course I had puked, and it hurt, a lot. he grabbed me by the shirt and asked me, “are you a girl”, I said no, my sex is female, but my gender is male..and he dragged me to his room. he once had a big dog, and he made that dog wear an eletrical dog collar, and weve always kept it in his room, because we dont need it (my uncle killed the dog), he threw me onto the bed and said,” ill ask you one more time, are you a girl” I said no. held grabbed my wrist, and held onto it tightly, I have a bruise from how tight he was grabbing it, and he pulled out the dog collar, threw me back onto the bed, sat on me, and put the collar on me… then he began yelling, are you a girl, you are a girl, are you a girl, you are a girl, and my response of course was no, no, no, I am male, I am male. whenever I said that, he would shock me, and it was /hell/. I was screaming, which only caused the shocks to get worse and worse, and then he said, “do you want to find out how faggots have sex!?” of course I already know this, but still I said no no no no stop stop stop. my memere had finally heard me and came rushing to the bedroom, and tried to make my uncle stop, but he pushed her down, and thanked god she was okay.. since shes very fragile and all. she then ran back to the stairs to call up my dad, and oh boy did he run. he ran up stairs and shoved my uncle away from me and started fighting with him, yelling, punching, kicking, and such so on. my memere got the collar off of me and brought me into her room, and after my dad and uncle were done fighting, my uncle had grabbed the things he needed and left, shouting a few insults at us. we called the police today, but they cant find him. we dont have money for a lawyer,  all we have is a counsellor, im not going to ask for money, all I ask for is support. I dont know what this will do, but please spread this around,  this has affected me and family members greatly. I was taken to a hospital today to check if there was any damage on my insides that we dont know of and thankfully there was no damage, just scarring, emotionally and physically. i had a horrifying nightmare relating to this as well. If you have abused somebody, raped somebody, insulted somebody, in any way possible, I hope this can somehow change your way of heart, and realize how much this can horrify a person, and ruin their lives. it made my life 97x worse than it already is.
