Fast food orders-McDonald’s version

Alright, we all know that feeling when your family or friends want fast food, and the “I’m not hungry” excuse is overused. Now, you probably won’t have time to calculate all the calories, so I’ll do it for you. Here are some low calorie things you can order at popular fast food chains without breaking your limit. All of these orders are under 300 calories.

Breakfast:

•Plain English muffin- 150 cal

^ With butter- +20 cal

^ With strawberry preserves- +35

•Egg White Delight- 250 cal

•Hash Browns- 140 cal

•Egg McMuffin- 290 cal

Lunch:

•Hamburger- 240 cal

•Plain Hamburger- 230 cal

•McDouble (no bun)- 230 cal

• 4 piece nugget (no sauce)-170 cal

•6 piece nugget (no sauce) 250

•Grilled chicken snack wrap (no ranch or cheese)- 190 cal

^ With ranch- +20 cal

^ With cheese- +20 cal

Sides and Desserts:

•Apple Pie- 270 cal

•Apple Slices- 40 cal

•Cone- 240 cal

•Diet coke- 1 cal

•Tea (hot) - 0 cal

•Coffee (black, hot or iced)- 0 cal

• Medium Iced coffee with sugar free French vanilla syrup (no cream)- 5 calories

^ with cream- +95 cal

^ with milk- + 17 cal

•Unsweetened iced tea- 1 cal

•Sweetend iced tea (small)- 90 cal (large)- 110 cal

As a McDonalds worker, I’m surprised we have any low cal foods. But I learned, when I had to eat on my meal break so my friends wouldn’t get suspicious. If it’s your only meal of the day, Try a 4 piece nugget happy meal, with a Diet Coke and apple slices. You even get a toy for eating healthy even at a fear food factory! It’s only 310 calories for a very filling meal. If that’s too, much, get the grilled chicken snack wrap (no cheese or ranch).

Remember this feeling.

The feeling of not giving up, of not giving in.

Going to bed, knowing that you kept the promise to yourself, and did not binge, or overeat.

You did it.

You battled the anxiety, the panic, the overwhelming need to bury your fears, and you came out swinging. Blocking jab after jab, keeping just out of range of the underhanded blows. You’re a fighter. Never forget that.

Now, sleep easily.

Tomorrow, get up, lace up your shoes, smile, and do it all over again.

You got this.

You got this.

You got this!

Laurie Dann Led An Unassuming Childhood, Growing Up In An Affluent Northern Suburb Of Chicago. She Was

Laurie Dann led an unassuming childhood, growing up in an affluent northern suburb of Chicago. She was recollected as being somewhat awkward and lacking in confidence. Maybe that’s why she completely altered her face with plastic surgery at quite a young age. She attended the University of Arizona for several years but never graduated. Whilst working as a cocktail waitress at Green Acres Country Club, she met Russell Dann, the son of a wealthy family. The duo were inseparable and settled down and got married in September of 1982. They moved into a large mansion - something that had always been a dream of Lauries.

Shortly thereafter, Russell began to notice some bizarre quirks about his new wife. For example, she would keep her makeup in the microwave, would throw money into the back seat of her car, and would put clothes away while they were still soaking wet. While the couple remained together for several years, Laurie’s quirks began to worsen and worsen. Eventually, she completely stopped leaving the house and refused to cook or clean up after herself. The relationship was doomed but it reached calamitous heights in September of 1986. Police received a phone call from Russell. Somebody had stabbed him with an ice-pick whilst he slept and he was certain it was Laurie. In fact, a store clerk would come forward to say Laurie had indeed purchased an ice-pick just days previously. The ice-pick missed his heart by just an inch. Considering Russel was asleep and didn’t see his attacker, the charges against Laurie were dropped. The couple divorced shortly afterwards. As the divorce was underway, Laurie’s ex-boyfriend from five years previously started to receive threatening phone calls from Laurie in which she claimed she was pregnant with his child. The harassment finally ended when his lawyer contacted her parents.

Laurie moved from the marital home and decided she wanted to become a babysitter but this quickly failed when she was accused of stealing from her client’s homes and slashing up their sofas, rugs, and curtains. Following this failed business idea, she moved into a dorm room on the northwest campus. This too fell apart when Laurie starred to hide rotten meat inside furniture as well as hiding rubbish in other student’s rooms. In January of 1988, she moved to a dorm in Madison, Wisconsin, where she became known as “elevator lady.” Students recalled her riding up and down in the elevator all day long. Once again, she started to leave rotten meat around the dorm and would often be seen stark naked in the communal areas. A month after moving in, a dorm room was set alight. Many believed Laurie had caused the fire intentionally but with no evidence, she was never charged.

By now, Laurie’s sanity was completely unravelled and nobody thought to get her more suitable professional help. After threatening a fellow student and slashing his clothing, Laurie baked buns and injected them with arsenic. She sent these laced treats to several frat houses and homes in the area before making her way to the home of a former babysitting client, asking if she could take their kids to the local fair. She gave the two children poisoned milk. Thankfully, they threw it out after saying it tasted strange. The arsenic in the laced treats she had sent out was so diluted that it caused no damage. From here, Laurie went to a local daycare and tried to set it on fire before returning to the former clients home which she then set on fire. They were lucky enough to escape out of a smashed window. By the time the family escaped, Laurie was en route to Hubbard Woods Elementary School. Armed with two handguns, Laurie started shooting indiscriminately as soon as she entered the building. She shot and killed 8-year-old Nicholas Corwin before critically wounding another five.

Laurie ripped off the bloody shorts she was wearing and tied a plastic bag around her waist. After fleeing the school, she crashed her car into a tree and then broke into the home of Ruth and Phillip Andrews. Laurie held the terrified family hostage for six hours, claiming she had shot and killed her rapist and was now on the run from the police. Phillip grabbed the gun from Laurie as his family escaped. During the scuffle, he was shot in the chest but managed to stagger into the garden. Alone in the Andrews home, Laurie shot herself dead.

I’m going to give you the best piece of Adult Life Is Hard advice I’ve ever learned:

Talk to people when things go to shit.

I don’t just mean get it off your chest, although that’s good. I mean: Something’s wrong with your paycheck/you lost your job/you had unexpected emergency car repairs and now you’re broke so your credit card payment is late. Like, not just 15 days late. We’re talking, shit got crazy and now you’re 90 days late with compounded interest and late fees and the Minimum Payment Due is, like, $390, and you’ve got about $3.90 in your bank account. Call the credit card company.

I know it’s scary. I know you feel like you’re going to get in trouble, like you’re gong to get yelled at or scolded for not having your life together. But the credit card company isn’t your parents; they’re just interested in getting money from you. And you can’t squeeze blood from a stone or money from someone who doesn’t have any. So what you do is you call them. You explain you’re experiencing temporary financial hardships, and you’re currently unable to bring your account up to date, but you don’t want to just let it get worse. Can you maybe talk to someone about a payment plan so you can work something out? Nine times out of ten you’ll be able to negotiate something so that at least it’s not just taking a constant, giant shit on your credit score.

- Can’t pay your power bill? Call the power company.

- Can’t pay your full rent? Talk to your landlord.

- Had to go to the hospital without insurance and have giant medical bills looming in your place? Call the hospital and ask if they have someone who helps people with financial hardships. Many do.

- Got super sick and missed half a semester of class because flu/pneumonia/auto-immune problems/depressive episode? Talk to your professor. If that doesn’t help, talk to your advisor.

You may not be able to fix everything, but you’ll likely be able to make improvements. At the very least, it’s possible that they have a list of people you can contact to help you with things. (Also, don’t be afraid to google things like, “I can’t pay my power bill [state you live in]” because you’d be surprised at what turns up on Google!) But the thing is, people in these positions gain nothing if you fail. There’s no emotional satisfaction for them if your attempts at having your life together completely bite the dust. In fact, they stand to benefit if things work out for you! And chances are, they’ll be completely happy to take $20 a month from you over getting $0 a month from you, your account will be considered current because you’ve talked to them and made an agreement, you won’t get reported to a collections agency, and your credit score won’t completely tank.

Here’s some helpful tips to keep in mind:

1. Be polite. Don’t demand things; request them. Let me tell you about how customer service people hold your life in their hands and how many extra miles they’ll go for someone who is nice to them.

2. Stick to the facts, and keep them minimal unless asked for them. Chances are they’re not really interested in the details. “We had several family emergencies in a row, and now I’m having trouble making the payments” is better than “Well, two months ago my husband wrecked his bike, and then he had a reaction to the muscle relaxer they gave him, and then our dog swallowed a shoestring and we had to take him to the emergency clinic, and just last week MY car broke down, and now my account’s in the negatives and I don’t know how I’m gonna get it back out.” The person you’re talking to is aware shit happens to everyone; they don’t need the details to prove you’re somehow “worthy” of being helped. They may ask you for details at a certain point if they have to fill out any kind of request form, but let them do that.

3. Ask questions. “Is there anything we can do about X?” “Would it be possible to move my payment date to Y day instead so it’s not coming out of the same paycheck as my rent?” The answer may be “no.” That’s not a failure on your part. But a good customer service person may have an alternate solution.

Anyway! I hope that helps! Don’t just assume the answer is “no” before you’ve even begun. There is more help out there than you ever imagined.
