Los Angeles (1/29) | Treat People With Kindness
Hot take it’s not actually accessible if I have to ask an abled body person for help or assistance
Wild concept that shouldn’t be wild and the coldest take ever: disabled adults are *adults* and not just children trapped in adult bodies
Disabled adults have sex
Disabled adults do drugs
Disabled adults curse
Disabled adults get piercings and tattoos
Disabled adults can make adult decisions and act and behave like adults because we are adults
It’s just so weird for people to constantly infantilize me all because of my mobility aids when I’m not a child!!!
We all know how annoying it is when someone says "get well soon" so what's a good alternative? What would you rather hear?
I generally say something along the lines of "I hope you feel a bit better soon"
Here are some others I've found:
I hope you get some relief
I hope your pain eases
I hope tomorrow is easier
I hope you have a low-symptom day soon
I hope you can get some nice rest
Wishing you more spoons tomorrow
If there's anything I can take off your plate, please let me know
Hoping for some restful moments for you today
I hope things improve, even just a little
I hope you have something good happen soon, you deserve it
Hang on in there, I'm rooting for you
I hope you get some answers and closure soon
If you need to vent or need a distraction, I'm happy to help, just say the word
Add your alternatives - reblog, drop a comment, or send an ask ✌️
so sick of my body. pretty much been confined to my bed for weeks. sleeping shitty because of pain and my mental health has taken a hit.
just ughhhhh.
Anyway, able bodied people need to stop blaming people’s chronic pain on their diets.
Like no mom, my hips aren’t in excruciating pain because I ate a couple cookies last night.

favorite platonic relationships: jake peralta and rosa diaz “Wait, what? You don´t actually think that we won´t be friends anymore if the precinct gets shut down? Rosa, we will never not be friends”
