#lonely and lovely nights

—you were feeling lonely and missing him, and then he comes home. funny how lonely and lovely only has one letter difference.

WARNINGS. nothing really triggering just a mention of being lonely/frustrated.

NOTES. i honestly had a good idea how this would go but completely wrote it differently… but i like it nonetheless. i kind of imagined this as an alter of the “Lazy Mornings” imagines i had but maybe i’ll make a pure fluff instead soon hehe.

ALBEDO has always been detached from his and others’ emotions. However, when you insisted upon staying on the corner of his lab just until he finishes, he knew what you were feeling right away and felt the need to address it. “Darling? Do you need anything?” he inquires, trying to test it out. When you answer a meek “You,” he smiles gently before sitting down on the bed and meeting your embrace, letting yourselves ease up in each other’s arms, letting the connecting overcome the loneliness in your chest. “Not to worry, I’m right here, I’ll stay here tonight.”

CHILDE comes home and he knows it by the pressure in the air, by the mood in the room, and by the sound of your breathing. When you call out his name, he kneels by the outside of the bed, cradling your hand with both of his, pulling them to his lips, and kisses it gently, “I’m sorry I’m late, baby, may I?” he refers to the bed and you moved back to make space for him. He pulls you to his chest and lets you cling to him all night.

DILUC may take a while to sense it, but he is quick to his feet nonetheless. The only problem was, he may not be the best at comforting someone, in his perspective. However, he’s doing fine, nonetheless. He makes his presence known first before sitting on the edge of the bed, his hand on your knee as the blanket covered your skin, nonetheless, you stil felt the warmth that radiated off of his form. “Couldn’t sleep?” he asks, “Do you need me to lie down with you?” he adds, deciding at the last minute not to do his usual night rounds, prioritizing you first.

GOROU has instincts probably better than most, and he also is quite open in showing affection to you, that’s why when he came home one particular night after a late meeting, he knew he was neglecting you a lot lately. He instantly but gently wraps his arms around your shoulders and pulls you onto his chest. Normally, he’s the one who’s getting cuddled, but now, he feels like he needs to protect you, to give you the attention you need just like you would with him. He raises a hand to your hair and caresses it softly and whispers on your ears, “I love you, I’m here, I’m sorry,” he repeats over and over until he knew you’ve already fallen asleep in his arms.

KAEYA is quite a tease. “Hm? Is my Y/n missing me?” he muses at first but when he sees the serious look on your face, he steps near you and sits atop of the blanket, offering his hand, to which you took and he immediately gently rubs his thumb on the juncture between your own thumb and index. “I’ve been out lately, huh?” he opens up the idea for you to be mad at him so that you wouldn’t have any hidden feelings that would frustrate you. He merely listens if you have any frustrations and by the end of it all, he lies down only to press a kiss on your cheek, “I apologize, I promise to try my best not to do it again.” and slowly, he leans to your face and waits for you to also do the same and kiss his lips. When you do, that is the only time he relaxes. He’s not perfect, sure, but he would never want to see you be lonely again.

KAZUHA hears it through the wind and senses it with the mood that you were radiating. He sits on the bed and raises a hand, lightly tracing his fingers on the bridge of your nose then resting them on your cheek, gently rubbing his thumb on the skin below your eye, “No need to fret, my love, I am here. May I accompany you tonight?” he inquires in the softest voice he had, then moving on to lie down next to you and place an arm underneath him, still facing your way. He leans in to press a kiss on your forehead and say with his lips brushing yours “I adore you very much. Sleep now, I’ll wait until you’ve fallen.”

SCARAMOUCHE pretends like he’s annoyed. “What now?” he questions when you look up at him with eyes full of need the moment he climbs up the bed. He faces away but deliberately pulls you onto his side, letting your hand and wrist rest on his chest, whispering the words “Missed me?” he asks in a softer tone. He smirks for a little when you scoot even closer on him, your breath on his skin, making him feel relieved for some reason. “You’re such a baby,” he says. But you’re definitely his baby. I swear that’s what’s in his mind.

THOMA is naturally busy, but he still makes sure that he goes home early to spend quality time to you, but lately he had been more occupied. However, before you could even feel more lonely than you already have, he was already pulling you out of the bed and curtsy in front of you, to which confused you at first until he spoke in his mid-action, “May I have this dance, my love?” he’d offer his hand, which you then took, pulling you near him and despite the formal start, you both swayed with your arms around each other, dancing while embracing the other. It doesn’t matter though, as long as he’d get to make you feel loved all over again.

VENTI comes home late sometimes. Usually, it’s not even a surprise, but ever since he had you—someone to go home to, he only rarely stays out late. Tonight was one of those rare nights and even if you didn’t mean to, his presence is just too strong, and missing it was inevitable. By the time he got home, he musters up his energy and proceeds to usher you out of the house for some reason. Even if you try to hide it, he will actually know if you feel a tiny bit sad by the second he looks at you. He takes you somewhere, maybe even just a casual stroll around the city or near nature. He makes it up to you this way and if you two were alone and nobody is there, he may even use his powers for you or the both of you to fly. He might even propose climbing up the walls of Mondstadt… but nevertheless, everything is to make you smile and feel his presence again. “You missed me didn’t you?” “The wind is always with you—I will always be with you, my precious Windblume.”

XIAO hears your call and hoesn’t know what to do, that’s why he ushered you out the bed and towards the balcony of the Wangshu Inn. When you both were out there, he saw how you held your arms together, and even if he was not one to usually do such an act, he moved behind you and placed his hand on the rails, pressing his body towards yours to warm you up. “Adepti… don’t get cold,” he utters up an excuse, “Are you feeling unwell?” his demeanor changes a bit when he asks you, his tone dropping into one of worry. “I just miss you, Xiao,” hearing you voice out your concern, he tenses up first before relaxing behind you, willing to sort out the mistake he made for being neglectful of your mortal needs, and places his chin on your shoulder. “I’m here, you mustn’t worry anymore.”

ZHONGLI has always been there for you, but even still, there are times when you feel lonely for some reason, and he wants to know how he could aid you even for a bit. “Would you like me to hold you, sweetheart?” he softly whispers in your ear, to which you then climb onto his lap and let him wrap his arms on your form, resting them on your waist. He leans back on the headboard and starts caressing your back while starting on a story about how he shaped Liyue, probably your most favorite. He continued on until he could feel your breath steadying. He sighs in relief and was about to place you down on your side of the bed but you clung onto him, to which he softly chuckled. “Alright, let’s stay here then.” and falls asleep even if he knows it will be uncomfortable soon.

“Well, it is indeed different from those of Liyue customs… tell me, where did you get it from?”

ALBEDO either was familiar with what it was or he already has knowledge about your native language because he took the time to learn it beforehand. After hearing you call him that one time, it certainly perked his attention and sensing that you haven’t realized what you did, he smiles to his own and wills to call you the same next time.

“Did I say it correctly? I just assumed it was what it meant, please tell me if I misunderstood it.”

CHILDE will probably ask you about it, which in turn became the reason why you called him with the endearment sooner than later in the relationship. He’s rather giddy whenever you call him with it, a grin curving on his lips in almost an instant, leaning to press a chaste kiss on your cheek and sending a wink at you. The audacity of this man.

“Call me that every time, yeah? Do you want me to do the same?”

DILUC wasn’t even aware you were multilingual until you told him you were. He didn’t particularly care—or more like minded, for the matter. Whatever you call him with, he’s more than pleased. However, you would not be able to miss how he stops and freezes for a couple of seconds when you explain to him what you just called him with.

With a smile, he kisses your forehead and whispers a “Thank you,” and calls you just the same.

GOROU is quite attentive, but with his busyness and things he had to do, he may not be able to give you much attention that he wanted. You had probably taken him off-guard when he got home and he was embracing you, hearing you call him such an unusual greeting that you probably saw or felt his ears twitch afterwards.

“Hm?” he pulls away slightly, looking you in the eye, “What… did you call me, honey?” he carefully inquired, still unsure if he heard you correctly or not. When you explained to him what it meant, he’ll get heavily flustered, pausing a while before he looks up with a smile and asks, “Again?”

KAEYA knows a lot of things and he probably knows a few words that you know of. He may even be the first to call you the endearment to catch you by surprise. He’ll chuckle at your embarrassed state, asking how he knew about it, to which he replies, “So my guess is correct, then? Call me with it first before I explain how.”

KAZUHA is definitely the type who had learned your native language early on and courted you with a poem with such words. That’s why when you call him with the endearment, he inwardly smiles—oh, his smiles are one of the most difficult things to figure out. And what does he do?

He pretends he doesn’t know about it.

“What did you called me, dove?” he had you on one of his knees, his eyes focused on your face as you find it hard to look him in the eye with the intense gaze he had on. After explaining to him, he simply pecks you on the cheeks and teases you briefly by calling you the same.

“Oh, you liked that? Should I start referring to you as such? I could if you would.”

SCARAMOUCHE does not know. Don’t expect him to when you don’t tell him first, so he’s one of those who are fun to prank with if you plan to call him with an endearment you wanted to call him to. He notices it immediately; brow raising, eyes darting towards your form, “What’d you call me?” his tone was harsh as usual but you can hear how it faltered despite its strong start. He may not have knowledge about it yet but he had a feeling that it was something that you have up your sleeve just to tease him.

When you explained to him about it, he scoffed but there was a small smirk on his face, pretending that he was busy with his paperworks but he felt the flutters he couldn’t stop even with his own abilities churn in his insides.

Oh the things you do to him.

THOMA, as also the people of the town, he might have hints of your language but he’s not quite sure what they meant so he’s just guessing while he accidentally let it slip out one time.

“I mean, uhm, did I use it correctly, perhaps…?” he awkwardly laughs, only to hear you giggle.

“Wait, I got it wrong, didn't I? Ugh, Ayato and the others told me about it and-Oh I was right?” he grins, “Well then, what do you say? Let’s go on a date tomorrow night, alright?”

VENTI had a hunch all this time and would definitely act like he knew it. Keyword: act.

“Of course I know what that meant!” he huffs his chest proudly; chin up, arms crossed, “It meant… an endearment, right? Just like how I call you Windblume!”

Apparently, he looked overjoyed when you revealed that he got it correctly that it was fairly obvious that he originally had no idea what it was.

“What? Where’s my congratulations kiss? I told you I got it right!”

XIAO doesn’t have a clue at all. If you attempt to call him with the special endearment, he’d only look confused and may not even question you especially if you said it in the morning. If at the evening, however, when he’s not that much busy defeating demons, he will actually pay more attention to it than the latter situation.

“You called me that earlier,” he says, “what… does it mean?”

Actually, he had a feeling what it already meant earlier but he did not want to deal such “unnecessary thoughts” even if he knew it bugged his mind most of the day. He thought that you wouldn’t tease him if he questioned you about it, only to prove that he was wrong.

“What do you mean-“ he scoffs, turning away to hide the flush on his cheeks, “I… I don’t mind it-It doesn't mean I like-I mean…” he shuts his lips and sighs, “I’m only letting you off this once.”

But let’s just say even if it was with the endearment while he’s away, he still comes in an instant when you call.

ZHONGLI is quite difficult to read. You don’t know if he actually knows what it meant or if he was pretending like he didn’t know it just to say that you had caught him off guard.

“I really didn’t have any knowledge about it, dearest,” he chuckles lightly, brushing his knuckles on your cheek when he sees the pout on your lips.

“But you didn’t look surprised at all!”

“Was I?” he pauses, “It might have been not obvious, but believe me when I say that you had caught me, love,” he says before catching your lips and pecking it softly.

He really doesn’t know about it hahahaha

The sun was setting and the moon had started to show itself amongst the skies, his eyes drifting past among these and soon, realization dawned into him after a whole day of work. Where were you? It doesn’t seem like he had seen you for an entire day.

Shrugging to himself and letting his worries succumb him later, he moves on to go home, at last, to be engulfed in the warmth of your presence alone would save him from the clutches of exhaustion and stress.

On the way home, however, a sight he surely did not expect welcomes him—one that he did not need or want to after today.

His shoulders tensed and the ground that was below him seems to have taken a liking to him with how his foot remained planted on it and refused to interrupt such a conversation you were having with the traveler. It was the very same traveler he had known and trusted, alright, but what were they doing here with you?

Surely, it was for him, right?

But… why did it feel like he’d ruin a beautiful moment between the two of you?

“Alright, farewell, traveller,” your voice stopped him from calling onto you, even if he did think of trying to, your eyes transfixed to the other, leaning in to embrace the traveler and bid them goodbye.

ALBEDO contemplates what to do, the gears of his mind trying to think of a way to remove such negative thoughts and try to remember the care and promises you had given him. What was he thinking? Of course, he trusted you, he trusted the traveler, what was stopping him?

He was bothered by it that it would take awhile before he got inside the house and faced you.

“What was the traveller doing here?” his question came first in spite of the cheery greeting you gave, his eyes boring a different kind of emotion that he had never given before—you doubt he even knows what expression he was doing as well.

“Is that the only reason why?” his gaze was downcast, looking down in shame for all the conclusions his mind were drawing before he had even gotten to ask you.

CHILDE hides behind the shadows and observes the both of you. This was nothing new to him… but he felt betrayed, somehow. You and the traveller? What could this mean? He knew how to sense an atmosphere, and this certainly wasn’t one that should be between two who weren't supposed to know each other.

He wouldn’t be speaking about it with you until it just gets to him and he questions you when you two were lying on the bed, “What was the traveller doing here?” he looks you in the eye, “Are you seeing them frequently?”

He’s quite untrusting, even if you reassure him that nothing was wrong. However, once things had settled and that you had finally noticed his unusualness, he will tell you his worries and that he’ll try his best not to feel such things again.

DILUC was bothered, but his feet dragged him into where you and the traveler were, bidding goodbye as well before turning to you, stopping you before you could even go inside the mansion, “What was that?” he questions, unable to stop himself, unfortunately.

“I, wait, I apologize,” he realizes, looking away momentarily and his hold on your arm loosening, “Let’s not talk about this,”

He will keep it all in. Even if you ask him, he won’t tell you. Before, he knew he didn’t deserve love such as yours, but now he doubts he can even live without it. So even if it still bothers him, he’ll just keep it all in… for now.

GOROU feels his skin crawl almost as immediately as he saw the both of you. He practically leaps towards where you two were and clings onto your arm. “Farewell, traveller,” he says and waits until they are out of sight, “What did they want?” he inquires, wary. Once he was satisfied—not so—with the answer, he pulled you aside and his lips were already on your neck, marking you. He’s… unusually quiet too and will probably walk away right after. The only time he will get to talk was when he had calmed his mind and return back home.

KAEYA teases you first. “Oh? I didn’t know you and the traveler we knew each other. Care to tell the story?” he will listen intently and will not even seem to be jealous, but he was listening very well and hopes—not actually hoping—that he would catch you in your lies. But if there was none, he’d give you a smile and press a peck on your forehead, his shoulders easing up so suddenly in relief, probably.

“That sounds nice, now what’s for dinner, love? I’m quite hungry.”

But actually, on the back of his mind, he was thinking of how you and the traveller probably looked better together and how you deserve someone that wasn’t him. He was so lucky to have someone like you… but how sure is he that he even deserves it?

KAZUHA finds himself kissing you when the traveller was out of sight, his slim fingers catching your skin as you greeted him, pulling you gently to a passionate kiss. His lips mended with your own and he even lightly bites on your bottom lips while his plum eyes were on yours the moment you opened them. He doesn’t advance towards you that often whenever you two were outside and even if you’re basically in front of your house, it was still unusual of him to do such rash actions.

“What’s gotten into you, Kazu?” you giggled, and he was suddenly out of a trance at the joy that your face emitted, smiling in response.

“Nothing, my dove,” his hand falls onto your waist, pulling you near him, “let’s get inside, the winds are bound to get cold at night.”

Actually, wait a minute, SCARAMOUCHE doesn’t trust the traveler one bit. He snarls as he marches his way towards the two of you, bringing himself in between, as if defending you against the other. “And what brings you here, traveller? Must I have to see you out or would you want my Y/n instead?”

He’s possessive especially if he doesn’t trust others—which happens most of the time since it’s only you whom he genuinely trusts amongst everyone else. He was merely protecting you, “Weaklings such as they do not deserve your attention,” he turns to you, “unless you wanted to give it to them, hm?” he eyes you, only to scoff, “Nevermind, come, let’s go back.”

Another selfish man, actually. He would rather not talk about it unless he sees definite proof to be distrustful.

THOMA was instantly by your side, not really minding the tightness in his chest, forcing a smile to curl on his lips and also say goodbye to the traveller. His arm goes to your waist and you’d immediately know there was something wrong.

“I’m just curious as to… when you and the traveller had known each other. That’s all!” he still keeps that smile of his even if he knows that you were sensing it.

Honestly, one kiss from you and words of reassurance will be enough for him to lighten up again and feel his worries slowly disappear.

VENTI is conflicted. Nonetheless, he laces a smile on his face and shows it to both you and the traveller. But once the other was gone, he turns to you with a pout on his face, clinging onto your arm and whining, “I never knew you and the traveller were that close… are you sure they were not flirting with you? Tell me the truth, windblume.”

He’s not convinced even if you reassure him.

“Seal it with a kiss?” he puckers his lips, and even if you peck him, he follows up, “Another one?”

Insignificant. XIAO thinks these “feelings” are trifling, why should an adepti like him feel such things that only a human could? “Foolish,” he voices out and that’s when you notice him, standing not too far from both you and the traveller. Now, he has no choice but to stand next to you as the other bids goodbye. Actually, he was looking down the whole time, his arms crossed to his chest with a troubled look on his face. You may even have to hold his face and make him look at you to catch his attention.

“What’s bothering you, baby?”

He purses his lips to stop himself, but he finds that it was difficult not to answer you truthfully. “Have you and the traveller… been seeing each other?”

It held a double meaning, he knew, but his muscles eases up when you answer the words that he wanted to hear. He knows they were just his mere desires but… for some reason even if they were not true, he doesn’t want to hear it.

ZHONGLI trusts you wholeheartedly, but not the traveller. You see, he’s a god who has seen many lifetimes, trust is not something he freely gives even to the savior of Liyue.

He’s selfish, at a certain extent. He knows how to handle his desires and how to perform them with the perfect timing. He doesn’t bombard you with questions suddenly, unless he waits until you two had relaxed in your home with a cup of tea in both of your hands.

“Say, sweetheart, what did the traveller came here for?” he inquires, listening very well how you would respond.

“Of course I saw it… is there something to not see?” you’d sense the pressure in the air, and even with the calm demeanor he held, you will be sure that this was a confrontation, not a casual conversation. Once he hears your answer, he’ll calmly stand up and press a gentle kiss on your temple and you won’t even know what was inside his mind with how well he keeps it in.

In my personal opinion, he’s the scariest if he’s mad or jealous.

Genshin Boys and Your First Kiss Together

There are veryyyyy tiny archon quest spoilers for Thoma's if u squint and I rly do mean its the tiniest thing mentioned in passing but just be careful if u haven't gotten to those yet <3

Your first kiss with Kaeya is sweet, soft and gentle. He just can't seem to help himself anymore around you, pulling you close to him one evening under the stars and pressing his lips to yours like his life depends on it. You weren't even dating yet, but at least this way you finally knew how you felt about one another. Perhaps, just maybe, he had been planning it this way all along.

The first time Diluc kisses you is absolutely out of the blue. He's been planning the perfect time to for weeks now, meticulously making sure that he has everything in place. He'll ask you if he can after dinner one night, he's decided.

But it doesn't go to plan at all when he comes home one night and you're there waiting for him, surprising him with a home-cooked meal and a tender smile. He sweeps you into his arms and kisses you on the spot.

Albedo isn't the type to plan out something like a first kiss. Not to say that it wouldn't be something he cared about, moreso if you're at the point of your relationship where you want to kiss, it'll just happen naturally. The first time ends up being during something really simple, like you leaning across him whilst helping with an experiement and receiving a gentle peck as thanks.

Kissing Childe for the first time happens very early into the relationship, potentially even before you get together. It might be a little rushed, teeth clicking together and perhaps even bumping foreheads being too caught up in the moment, but you both know absolutely that it's the right thing to do right then. Regardless, it'll feel romantic and unforgettable.

Zhongli kisses you for the first time out in the open air of the Liyuean wilderness, pulling you close and dipping you low as the sun begins to set over the horizon. It'll be in the middle of one of your regular walks, a route you'd taken together maybe a hundred times before, but this and every time after will have an extra special meaning in your heart.

You're the one to initiate the first kiss with Xiao, otherwise you'd probably never reach that threshold with him. You ask him first, of course, not wanting to risk him being uncomfortable- though none of the gentle touches and general closeness between you has given you reason to believe he would be. He kisses you back experimentally, worried that something bad might happen at any moment for allowing himself to enjoy this.

Kazuha kisses you the way you imagine every fairytale protagonist gets their first kiss. Time seems to stop and all you see is him, both leaning into one another, and you swear sparks fly as your lips finally meet. He wastes no time kissing you more and more, uttering poetic sweet nothings to you between each one.

The first time you kiss Venti is probably accidental. Not in the case of neither of you wanting to in the first place, but moreso those moments where one person goes to kiss the other's cheek but they move and lock lips instead. It's clumsy and you both end up bowling over laughing about it, but it's pleasant all the same and leaves you feeling warm. Suffice to say, however, that the times following are certainly no accident.

Your first kiss with Thoma is intense and full of emotions, happening in a momentary interlude after being worried you'd lost one another. He kisses you like you're going to disappear if he doesn't, like you're his lifeline. There's a good chance you'll catch a few tears slip out of the corners of his eyes, only because it's the same moment he realises how overwhelmingly in love with you he is.

ZHONGLI didn’t mind at all, no matter if you told him or not. Actually, you could tell him everything because he trusted you as much as you probably do the same to him. To him, trust is what builds a connection, a relationship.

“Someone wrote me a letter.” 

“Oh? What is it?” 

“It’s a love confession,” you chuckled, reading the letter to yourself in front of him, of course, without really disclosing even a single bit of its content. Tucking it then behind you, you turn to him with an awkward smile, “I hope I could politely decline them but… seeing that it is an anonymous letter, I couldn’t really do anything else unelss they show up.” 

Sensing your frustration, he reaches out his hand to yours, gingerly rubbing your skin with his thumb, “It will work out, my love, there’s no need to worry. If you need me, I’ll be here to help.”

ZHONGLI is a gentleman, a fact that everyone knows, even more so you. If you do not wish to be kissed, he would respect your wishes and keep to his word for as long as you’d want. Actually, he would not even so much as impose that he desires one to not pressure you at all. For him, everything comes at the perfect time, at the perfect moment, at the very right timing—where your souls align to each other as one. 

When that does happen, then it is bound to happen; with a hand on your chin and your gazes on each other, your breaths mingling together. 

“May I kiss you, Y/n?” he whispers, and he thinks that he may not be able to stop unless you tell him to do so. 

“How can I reject such a thing?” 

He smiles and he inhales a breath—had he ever been this breathless before? “Shall we, then?” 

It was a beat, a second, a blink of an eye when he captured your lips on his. For a moment, he lingers on the press of your own to his before he starts craving for more, and more. And more.

XIAO is adamant. He is well aware of the traditions humans do when they start to date or become a couple—just thinking about it at first and before makes him want to turn away. His reaction will be quite similar now, with you, but it’s still different. 

“Can you kiss me?” 

He visibly freezes, and you were quite sure that he would be rejected in a moment. Worse, he may even disappear right in front of you all of a sudden. You bit your lip and looked down, already wanting the ground to swallow you and hide you away. However, before your wish can even come true, XIAO was already in front of you, eyes furrowed and a frown on his face. 

“Do you… do you really want to?” 

When you looked up, you wished you could take a picture or engrave the image in your mind. He might be looking away, but there was a red hue on his cheeks and his ears. 

Ah, your cheeks warmed, does he want to as well? 

You reached out to his cheeks and you watched in astonishment as he leaned onto your palm and raised his own hand to place it over yours, pressing it further into his skin, his warmth. 

When he met your eyes, you held your breath. 

He didn’t look adamant at all.  

You lean in and he follows your breath like it was his own. The next thing that happened was the very thing you never expected when you asked those four words to him.

ITTO cuddles you on his lap. he's fairly taken aback at first – when you plop into his lap – but rolls with it anyway. He kind of nuzzles his head into your neck or something. it's quite cute, seeing someone like you on his... extremely large frame. he's kind of like a big pillow, really. he's not squishy but it's quite comfortable! he actually likes how cuddly you can be sometimes and even welcomes it. he finds the smile on your face cute.

CHILDE just laughs as he shifts you around to make you feel more comfortable. he takes note of how you seem to fit perfectly onto him as well, if that makes sense? he loves how you're just so comfortable with him. he cuddles you as well after you plop onto his lap, exhausted. i can imagine him running his fingers through your hair as well! it's really very very cute ><

ZHONGLI welcomes the affection, cuddling you softly as he continues to drink tea and read his book. he's very gentle with you, like how he would be with a glaze lily. you're his precious glaze lily. he nuzzles you often, and also ends up looking up once in a while to give you a sweet kiss. he's actually quite affectionate when he wants to be, i think! it's very sweet.

DILUC is slightly taken aback, but he becomes very gentle with you afterwards. he's nice about it and ends up cuddling you... like everyone else. i think diluc genuinely loves it when you do that – you look adorable doing it! he can be snuggly when he wants as well. diluc loves the quiet parts of you, where the two of you can just.. coexist with each other. it's refreshing and calming to him, and he loves every part of it.

XIAO is confused, but he allows it anyway. he likes how you never fail to stick with him, despite his past – he notices the little things you do for him. he loves your affection, truly, even if he doesn't exactly acknowledge it all the time. such mortal things are not for the adepti, aren't they? but he can indulge in it for a little while... for his comfort and yours. he doesn't mind it, really. xiao will definitely cuddle you after.

SCARAMOUCHE gets a bit ticked off, but would 100% totally-not inch closer to you and hug you. he would never admit it, but he actually likes these little shows of affection! would kind of subtly nuzzle his head into the crook of your neck... if he's taller than you. otherwise it kind of looks like a toddler carrying an adult... but either way, he doesn't mind it. it's actually quite cute for him. and you. 101% would do this with you again.

THOMA accepts it wholeheartedly! he would cuddle you 24/7. thoma loves it when he gets to share these little quiet moments with you, it makes him happy seeing you so comfortable... even if you're on his lap. would 100% cuddle you and would get excited because who is he to deny that he's happy spending time with his favourite person in all of teyvat? it's quite cute, honestly.

DAINSLEIF is confused. no one had ever done it to him before... but you seemed happy, so why not? the taller man awkwardly wraps his arms around you in the process. honestly he might even tickle you and not realise that he was doing so, but it's quite cute seeing how he's trying his best. i have a feeling that he would try his best to cuddle you a little – it kind of works – but it's a bit strange to he lets his arm naturally curl around you. that's cute.

KAZUHA is somewhat taken aback, but he likes it. being involved in a civil war in his home country leaves him little time to rest, so he really does take the time to be thankful for each restful and peaceful moment he gets to spend with you. i think kazuha would cuddle you in response... beidou just looks on proudly and leaves the two of you alone. it's quite soothing to see; just two quiet souls existing together.

ZHONGLI knows immediately what things are needed to be done to nurse you back to health. He tells you stories of old (as he brushes your hair back) until his voice will be able to lull you to fall asleep. He smiles when your breathing evens out, then presses a kiss on your warm forehead, humming in relief as he waits for the tea that he had brewed to be served for you to drink water when you wake.

XIAO is a huge worry-wart. He may even nag you, telling you you should have taken good care of yourself and muttering to himself how “Humans are so fragile.” Yet it was also him who kept on going from place to place; asking how to cure your sickness, grabbing fresh Qingxins and Violetgrasses for your medicine or to relieve the pain at the very least, and even staying by your side the whole night, monitoring your condition. He also ask for Verr’s advice, especially since she has lots of connections and she’s a human, but it was him who insists on taking care of you personally.

VENTI, surprisingly, is quite good at taking good care of you. He had probably seen others do it, knowing him, he had been alive for a long time, after all. He’s quite overbearing too, telling you to just stay on the bed and rest, and he’ll take care of everything else, just say what you need and he’ll get it for you! Well… as long as it’s not food. The only thing he knows how to cook is Buoyant Breeze—one he so proudly named himself, and you will have to settle with it for as long as you are sick and not able to stand to cook your own meal.
