The Rookie thirst trapping us on a Monday!!!
SOME OF THE BADASS CHENFORD MOMENT ALONG WITH CELINA AND AARON!π
Oh, I'M SUPER PSYCHED for EPISODE 6X08!!π₯Ήπ±π«Ά
At least one couple on The Rookie should follow the traditional route and I want it to be Chenford. I want them to date, get engaged, then have a beautiful wedding, a romantic honeymoon and then finally start a family. I don't want them to jump any step in between. π₯Ί
The showrunners should take notes from Peraltiago's (Jake and Amy from Brooklyn nine-nine) relationship. They didn't break them up or rush anything. Their relationship grew so organically. Please follow the same for Chenford.π
I would love some Chenford related angsty drama but definitely don't want a storyline that will somehow bring another guy/girl in between them. They are done dating other people.
They can be as angsty as possible but cannot date or even think of dating anyone else. That door is closed forever for them.
They are done with their last first date, last first kiss and last first time. They belong to each other now. No other man/woman can ever touch Lucy/Tim respectively. These two belong to each other.π
I waited until the season ended to share my honest views on the Chenford breakup. While I'm optimistic they'll find their way back to each other eventually, I couldn't help but feel a bit conflicted about how it was handled. It seems Alexi may have misjudged what we as fans truly want by introducing a "will they, won't they" dynamic at this point. Perhaps this trope would have been better suited for season 5, allowing for more organic development. I believe many of us would have cherished those sweet, flirtatious moments between Lucy and Tim more deeply had they been given earlier in the series rather than now.
Instead, we were presented with a strong, supportive partnership between Chenford thus making their breakup even more perplexing. Additionally, I couldn't help but feel that portraying Lucy supporting Tim through his mental health struggles would have been a more impactful storyline, highlighting the importance of companionship during difficult times.
Please donβt hate me for this; like everyone else, I am entitled to my views.
What if Tim takes Lucy to Ravenna or to the posh sea side restaurant where they went for their double date?π€
