Got some motivation to work so I’m going to run with it until the discipline has to take over
Edit: my stupid ass got the date wrong haha
14th - well today has been long. I had an applicant visit day to the uni of Birmingham, which was so much fun - until it came to getting home. I was supposed to be on a quarter past four train to be home for half seven. It is now ten to seven and I am waiting another 30 minutes for the final leg of my journey home to start after standing for 2 hours on a packed and very late train. I should arrive at my finial station at nine.
It’s not the staff’s fault necessarily, but we were turned away by a staff member when our train was actually boarding, so we missed it.
HOWEVER I did get to make good progress with Selam Berlin! And I got to play with sodium alginate and calcium chloride, and experience a lecture on why transition metal compounds are coloured.
I did my German catch-up work on the train to Birmingham, too. Now to make some important emails!
Hey, I would like to ask, which Programm do you make this cool pages? Sorry, my englisch is bad, because I'm a german and I learn in the school englisch🙈
Ist schon ok - Deutsch lerne ich in der Schule auch! Ich benutze „Notability“ :)
And for the English speakers out here, I use Notability :)
You know when you *should* work but you are having such a bad day you can’t? That’s me right now. And I’m cool with that
My motivation is also saying 📈📉📈📉 at this point!

Day 16 of My Summer Studying Challenge
✨ 28th July ✨ How do you stay motivated to study during the summer?
my motivation is quite up and down at the moment actually but i’ve just been trying to break down the tasks as much as possible and set achievable goals. but as well as this i’ve been trying to take time to relax. there’s also been some tasks that just generally i’ve wanted to do more so i’ve been way more motivated to do those than ones that just seem a bit boring
carpe diem didn’t turn out too well for neil perry:(
i would love to carpe diem but i also have anxiety
Second year is over - I managed to reach my goal of straight firsts and I’m super proud of myself!
Now, I have a guitar that has sat neglected for the best part of a semester that needs some attention…
We have this twisted idea that we have to achieve everything and then plateau before middle age hits. In reality, all the years you have on this planet are worthwhile and full of growth, not just the first half that are painted with this glorified ideal of “youth”
People starting new hobbies later in life are awesome. Like after all of these years, they’re still going out there and exploring new things instead of remaining stagnant.
Hello everyone! My name is Sarabel and I’m a student in BA Creative Writing. In one of my GE subjects (English 13: Writing as Thinking), we’re asked to write a paper about how technology changes people, their way of life, methods, etc. Afterwards, we have to write a summarized version of it to submit to the Digital Disruption Asia-Pacific Writing Competition 2018 hosted by The New York Times.
For my paper, I’ll be writing about Studyblr. But since there hasn’t been much research about it, I will be conducting a survey to gather the data I need. It will be a tremendous help to me if you can spare a few minutes of your time to answer it. You only need to be a current student (high school, college, or graduate) and have an active studyblr to be qualified to participate in the survey.
The survey will ask about your study habits and methods before and after studyblr, your post-making process, the people you’ve interacted with in the community, your general views on Studyblr, and some basic socio-demographic questions.
Answer Survey
If you don’t have the time to answer, please at least reblog this post to help me gather more respondents. Thank you!
If you have any questions, feel free to dm me or send me an e-mail @ svvelez@up.edu.ph
I’m having an awful mental health day. I don’t know if I’m worried about something or not... that is the beauty of depression. It’s been at bay for a while but I’m afraid it’s going to come back and I hate feeling like this :(
I just want a hug.
And to hear back from Cambridge. Anything. I don’t care if I get rejected, I just want to know.
Other than that, this morning was ok, and I got a fair amount done. It was my Maths morning today so I did a bunch of integration. Fun times!
