Synopsis: Y/n ends up breaking down crying while trying to study because of built up stress. Fortunately for them, their partner Kirishima got home right in time to help them calm down and regress.
CW (?): SFW Age regression, mild break down, gender neutral reader
Y/n was sitting at their desk crying and double breathing. They were trying to study and take notes for the upcoming History final. All the dates and people and events were jumbling up in their mind.
"Pebble, I'm home." Y/n's partner, Kirishima, calls out to the home.
Due to the sobbing Y/n didn't hear their partner enter the house.
Walking to their bedroom Kirishima sees his partner crying and shaking over their computer.
"Pebble, what's wrong! Why are you crying!" he exclaims running over.
Y/n jumps in shock. Wiping their eyes y/n tries their best to give a reassuring smile. "I'm just really stressed Ei".
"It's okay. I know you've got a lot on your plate. I think you should take a break Baby Shark. How about we do that? Okay?" Kirishima says softly.
He makes sure the notes are saved before shutting y/n's computer and gently carries his partner to the bed.
"But the finals are so soon. I need to make sure I'm prepared," They argue.
"I know, but you're going to burn yourself out even more if you continue studying. Come on Baby Shark, let's calm down and relax a little. I can go make us some hot cocoa while you pick out a movie okay?" Kirishima convinces.
Slowly they nod. Kirishima kisses y/n's forehead grabbing the pacifier on the bedside table placing it gently in the littles' mouth.
Calming down y/n looks through the many animated movies they have while Kirishima makes them hot cocoa and snacks.
Y/n and Kirishima cuddle the rest of the night binging animated movies. Before falling asleep Kirishima makes sure to take y/n's pacifier out of their mouth and decided to read "The crayons' book of feelings" reminding the little one that it's okay to have feelings and take breaks to feel better.

Adora needed a break after those classes. So much was on her mind so she decided to go down and walk around. It was a beautiful sunset, with pinks, purples, and blues as the stars began to come out. She hums softly walking around and noticing a cemetery. Of course, Adora has seen plenty of cemeteries in her time as an angel. It's a natural part of death but this one was different.
This one had an enchanting humming noise drawing Adora closer. Of course, it could just be someone mourning but it sounded soft and familiar. Adora continued to follow the humming noise until she was at a grave. It had a soft white glow surrounding it and the humming was obviously coming from the grave.
In Memory of
Mary Clara Wils
Loving Daughter
1829-1846
Adora stared at the grave in curiosity. Why was it humming, why was it glowing? Like it was calling her? Kneeling down, her hand reached out grazing the cold stone. Her golden eye widened a gasp leaving her lips.
A young girl, probably seven, with brown hair and amber eyes was playing outside climbing trees in her tattered dress. She was calling out to her father that just gotten home and he began to yell at her. “A lady shall not do that. What are you thinking!” He yells. Quickly the child gets down receiving a slap on the cheek
The girl, around ten now, her hair braided into a bun and a dress covering bruises. She washes dishes, she does laundry and cooks. Sighing she smiles and tells her father all the work she had gotten done that day and he yells at her “You made what! I told you to leave the cooking to your mother! You wasteful hog we don’t have enough money!” He slaps her again leaving a bruised eye.
She’s seventeen now. Smaller than she should be, her family isn’t getting enough food. Bruises litter her body as she completes the daily chores. When her father comes home she smiles saying nothing to not invoke his rage. It still wasn’t enough. After he was finished taking the rage of work out on his daughter he left her alone lying on the kitchen floor in blood.
Weakly she stood up grabbing the wall for support. She could barely walk but she knew one thing. She didn’t want to die in this house. So hobbling she walked out and continued walking to lay by some nearby trees. Blood filled her lungs with every breath, as she closed her eyes.
Adora gasps falling back. She cries shaking, who was that, why did she see that? Why was she hurt? That must have been Mary. Mary… that name was familiar to her and it pained Adora. She cried hugging herself tight. She needed help, she needed someone. Adora envisioned Xander best she could weeping as she called for him.
“Adora?” Xander asks softly behind her.
“Who is she?” She yells shaking.
Xander kneels beside Adora looking at the grave. “Ah. Your grave,”
“M-mine? I’m Adora?! I’m Adora!” Adora responds. “Marlo isn’t any different. Why am I different?”
Xander rubs her back softly. “Calm down, shh it’s okay. When you become a worker angel they alter your memory during school. It’s why you don’t remember. No one remembers they’re past life unless they find their grave and it’s unlikely they’d stumble across it. Or unless…”
“Unless they fall?” she finishes wiping the tears away.
Xander nods smiling, “you learn a lot when you fall.”
“So I’m Mary?”
“Adora. If you want to be Mary you can be but you’re still Adora. You may have lived and died as Mary but you’re Adora now, you keep people safe as Adora, you learn and help as Adora,” Xander explains.
Adora nods slowly processing everything. She grabs onto his hands softly to ground herself. So much is going through her mind still she doesn’t understand what to think. Who she is? Who she was?
“It’s okay, I had the same thoughts when I fell. I had a lot of memories come back. It was difficult to deal with but you don’t have to deal with this alone okay?”
“Yeah,” Adora says softly, “I have you, and Ariel, I wonder if she knows her past. I wonder who knows their past in the workers.”
“Many angels retire after finding our their past. Some can’t handle it but I am certain that you are strong enough. You can continue. I promise,” Xander states.
Xander stands helping Adora up. Adora nods softly hugging him. “You’re first day of classes were today right? How did they go?”
Sniffing she looks up smiling, “good. My teachers seem nice but my Human Angel Safety teacher seems really strict. She’s scary. One of the girls in my dealing with death classes is a child angel, seems really cool. And I think I’m making friends with a cupid. He’s really old too. Roman era, we have matching eyes. He’s nice. In our death class he said he felt guilty when his same sex couples die and we share our safety class too,”
“Hm, that sounds cool. Pretty old. I died in roman times too. It was fun to be a cupid, before everyone became so strict and prissy,” Xander responds looking off to the setting sun.
“Hm, I wonder if you know him then? Addon, gold eyes brown hair. He was super nice and said we could help eachother with our strict safety teacher,”
“Addon?” Xander asked looking down his eyes fluffing out shocked.
“Yeah Addon, yknow him?”
“You should rest, you have a lot that you have to process. I’ll see you around,” Xander said. His voice hinted with annoyed as he gave her a final hug before leaving.
Adora watched Xander leave tilting her head. Why was he so defensive, I guess he does know him. Xander doesn’t seem to like the other cupids anyways though. Adora sighs soft and heads back to her dorm.
Ariel knocks on Adora’s door before opening it, “ADORA! How was your first day! Where were you. I wanna hear all about it!” she hums walking in.
“Hey Ariel. I’m pretty tired. I did chat with a cupid, I might be making friends with him,” Adora says smiling softly yawning.
“That sounds nice. You gotta tell me about it when you feel better okay. If you need any help, ask me.”
“Of course,” Adora hums waving Ariel away.
I cosplayed Eri again. I love her pre rescue look
Trigger Warning: Christianity, abuse, death, foster care (please let me know if I miss any)
Adora was raised through the romantic and a few of the gothic era. She was the youngest daughter of two. Her father was a high-standard banking man with his income and stability often fluctuating with bankruptcy. Her mother worked as a seamstress making clothing for her neighbours, family, and friends, to help the family make extra money. Her older brother helped out by tending to the animals and the garden. He is gone for long hours leaving Adora to do the housework all day.
Her home chores never varied and she was always able to complete them but the temperament of her father changed with how his work went. Being the one who didn’t contribute to the family in food or money she was often the victim of his words. He would berate her and get physical often. At 17 she died due to the abuse and malnutrition of the times.
After dying Adora goes to heaven as a spirit and spends her years wandering there. She was greeted by the judges, given a white dress to change into and treated for the bruises in a care centre. The days were great, she talked with the other spirits and angels. Over a hundred and fifty years later Adora is getting sad and bored with her repetitive life. She is slowly forgetting her old life and she wants to do more with her afterlife so she approaches God with her question.
“How do I become an angel, sir?”
“An angel? Well, there are many different angels. What type of angel do you wish to be? It’s a difficult process, you must pass tests and shadow and prove your strengths,” they respond.
“Well, I don’t know what kind of angel. I want to help people. People who are hurting and need safety,” Adora explains.
God nods understanding, “I think you will be a good guardian angel, I will call the head of the guardian angels to begin your placement,” they say calling forth the head guardian angel, Alice. A sharp-looking angel with her wings small ontop of her head, a trick upper angels have;
It was a difficult process to turn into a guardian angel. First was the schooling, learning about the history of angels. All types of angels, but a focus on guardian angels. Then she learned about the tasks needed to complete as guardian angels. The different people who have become guardian angels, famous ones, bad ones, rejected ones. How angels become fallen, shunned from heaven and all the residents.
After the schooling, a year or two, there were multiple tests: written, physical, practical and real. These tests were hard but Adora never gave up, she did her best and passed. Afterwards, the shadowing begins. It’s difficult to keep up, angels get wings but spirits just wander without them. As time goes on it gets easier, Adora knows what’s expected, what’s needed, where to go and how to keep up.
The worst part of it all though was getting her wings in. It was painful, and long, and took weeks. First rashes formed, they were itchy, tough, and painful. Slowly the rashes will grow and plumage will begin. The lumps continue growing until her skin opens up, the cold essence of what used to be her blood falling. The wings slowly come out, skin taught, with feathers beginning. The last parts are less painful as the feathers come in and grow out. During this process Adora is stuck in the guardian angel lodging, mostly in her dorm, in pain, crying and waiting till the end.
After the wings come in and recover Adora is learning how to use her angel powers. She learns how to fly and glide, this takes many months to become proficient. Turning visible to the human eye. Most humans cannot see angels and rely on other modes of communication like prayers and divination. In desperate situations, angels need to reveal their identity and they do this by manipulating the light around them, often leaving them with a glow to humans.
Adora also learned how to turn other items invisible, including humans, often used for safety situations and to teleport in the most critical times. Reading human minds was an easy power to learn, and learning body language in school made it much quicker to use. She was feeling much better about becoming an angel and her future helping others.
Adora shadowed for two more years with her wings and powers to get them under control before she graduated. Once graduated Adora was granted her halo. Many lower angels are given simple halos, small gems or stars if desired, many don’t wear them either. It was an honour to be given her halo and wear hers like a crown. A crown that was too big and covered one of her eyes but that was fine. Adora loved her halo either way and wore it with pride.
God gave Adora her first placement a day after her halo was received. She will never forget that day, the human world had changed so much in her time. October 5th, 2012 in a small busy town on the outskirts of Nebraska. Adora was placed to help a girl, 18 years old, wanting to run away from her foster family.
The girl was Janice, she had been in foster care since she was a toddler, passed around from family to family. The most recent family to take her in was loud, and harsh but never laid hands on her. She turned 18 the night she ran away knowing that something bad would happen when morning came. Janice was a practising witch and has been meditating and practising cleansing often. She had recently begun divination where one of Adora’s colleagues had hinted Janice would no longer be safe there.
Adora was ready for this, she had helped with a few runaways in her shadow work. She watched as Janice began packing her backpack. It was dark out and her parents had already made sure she was asleep. Janice opens the window quietly and slides out shutting it behind her. She looks around and stealths through the night with Adora following close behind.
Adora knew of one of Janice's friends who lived alone. She knew her background and placed the idea in Janice’s head to go there. Janice was silent about her plan to run away. She spoke about it to no one, her friends, her co-workers, and not a single person around her knew what she was planning. She had decided to run away the night of her 18th birthday a week before, it was a quick decision and she knew she had to act fast.
Running through the night Janice arrives at her friend's apartment knocking, Adora had made sure she made it there safely. No cops, no fishy men, and no violence on the way. She gently persuaded Janice’s friend to wake up and she opened the door. Janice was accepted with open arms to stay there as long as needed.
Before the night finished Adora went back to Janice’s foster home and made sure her valuables were well hidden. Anything with sentimental or retail value that her foster parents may throw out before she’s able to retrieve them. During this Adora notices much more of the changes that have gone through the world while she was gone. She tucks away the belongings and goes back to heaven to wait until morning.
As expected her foster parents were yelling at Janice to wake up and were surprised to see her not there. They yell and they curse and they call her to find out Janice ran away to live alone now that she’s 18. Her parents are shocked and quickly agree, with a little persuasion from Adora, and they set up a time to pick up the rest of Janice’s stuff. When Janice picks up the rest of her stuff, her valuables most of all, her parents are angry claiming they bought it and deserve to keep it, but Janice had found receipts from some luck given to them to prove she owns them.
Quickly, Adora can call her first mission a success and she sighs with relief. She continues with small missions for a few years, spread out as she grows her confidence and learns more about human life now and how they work, how they dress, and what they like and do.
But then, 2015 happened. It was a big year in America, where Adora was located, as gay marriage had been legalised. Adora tried her best to learn about gay marriage and rights but she got conflicting information. So Adora went to her colleagues about it and they quickly shushed her about it. What if God were to hear and think she was talking to him?
Him? The Underlord she supposed, but God worked with the Underlord so she didn’t understand why the other angels couldn’t talk to him. Either way, the other guardian angels wouldn’t answer her questions so she went to the cupids, angels of love, to figure out what was so wrong. She didn’t get the answers she was looking for either.
It was a lot of yelling. ‘We’re just doing our job!’
‘I don’t decide who falls in love with each other!’
‘Why do you wanna know guardian!’
Frustrated Adora heads back to the human world to wander around and try and understand what was going on. She knows the general information she supposes, Gay is when a man and a man love each other. But Adora just can’t wrap her head around why everyone is so defensive about it. Until she met him.
I updated Mizores ice arm. I took other photos too but it looks better with less imo so I'll post them later
