Trigger warnings: Christianity, queer harassment
Xander used to be Alexander, but he’s a disgrace. He’s a fallen angel, a fallen cupid. But he’s not bad. He just didn’t agree. Xander spends his days roaming the human world, watching it evolve. He’s been here watching them evolve for centuries now, he hasn’t kept count. He watched them evolve before though too, when he worked for God. When he was a Cupid, an angel of love.
Xander kept up with the human trends, he kept a lustful outfit with reds and black. A shaggy wolf cut ending around his shoulder of black hair and pink strands framing his face. When he was hidden in his angel form his wings were out, large and white with rainbow hearts on the tip of the feathers. They were worn and rough from his fall. His eyes are a soft pink like aphrodisiacs, and a third eye is placed on top of his forehead, scarred, that sees relationships and futures. A special power only a few have when born, and it cannot be taken away. Xander often spends nights among humans in nightclubs with his wings hidden and his third eye closed in order to keep an eye on his community and to keep them safe.
All other powers were stripped from him when he fell. When he disgraced God. When he asked too many questions. But what else was he supposed to do when he continued to see the mistreatment of people they made? The people they made, the people who are harmed because of the people they love in the name of God. In the name of sin. Is it fair to let these people continue this abuse against queers because they believe it’s wrong? Because they believe they should pass the judgment of God?
Xander brought these concerns to God, wanting to help the people he truly feels his work is devoted to. God ignored his concerns though, he gave humans free will and they shall do as they please with it. They will have their judgement come soon enough. He couldn’t let it go though. Xander took all the queer jobs and worked hard, bending rules, to keep them safe and happy.
Word got around and Xander lost his bow. God offered retraining to keep his job but he broke. Xander broke and yelled.
“How can you allow them to do this? It’s disgusting, and to sit back and allow people to harm someone else just because of free will makes you a lousy ruler. Their judgement day may come but someone needs to protect the queers, you made them how they are. What happened to love thy neighbour? Don’t you love all your children the same? How can you let them die, how can you let them be abused and assaulted and murdered because of how you made them!” Xander yelled shaking with rage.
God did not take that well and banished Xander taking his powers and throwing him to Earth. He didn’t mind though, he spent his time wandering and watching his people. Watching the lovers. Helping them when he could such as protests and keeping gay bars safe.
Xander was in his hidden form on a bench watching people walk by smiling softly. The fight is still going but in America, the place where he mostly resides, gay marriage is legalized. There’s much more to do still but it’s better than before.
Out of the corner of his eye, Xander sees some wings. He hasn’t talked with another angel since he was banished. Xander looked over and recognized her as one of the new guardian angels, he couldn’t remember her name and never bothered to pay attention to God’s workers now. He has no respect for God anymore but many of their workers have no idea what they do and believe.
“Hello, uhm I don’t think I’ve met you before?” she says.
“Probably not, I don’t work for God. I’m fallen.” Xander says watching her curiously.
“Fallen? You used to be an angel?”
“Yes, I used to be a cupid. Not anymore. They didn’t like how I saw things. How I did things”
“You did things differently?”, Adora crinkles her brows. Of course, she had heard of fallen angels and how they were cursed because they did things differently. It was a lesson in her schooling. It was rare though, the main one being Satan whose name was not allowed to be spoken. It’s taboo to talk about any fallen angel.
“Of course, I want to protect people. They didn’t care about the effects their followers had on others. ‘Oh they’ll get their punishment when their time comes’ they said. I think it’s bullshit,” Xander rants.
“What effects I’ve been having some trouble with the other angels. They won’t explain some things to me. I’ve noticed how tensions here have been high, because of the gays. I was wondering if you knew what that was about. No one else will tell me,” Adora explains softly, hoping to finally understand all the hostility going around,
“Some Christians,” he responds drawing out the word as though it was poison in his mouth, “believe that people in the LGBT community are against God. And they decide to take it into their own hands by killing and torturing them,”
Adora’s wings puff in surprise at that statement. Her eyes well up with tears, only her left eye visible. A bright golden colour left her distressed as she silently cried thinking about all the people lost to hatred.
“Well, we have to do something, right? Surely-”
“They won’t do anything” he cuts her off. “You shouldn’t try, you’ll fall too,”
“But that’s not right! They’re being hurt, they’re being killed!”
“I know. But God won’t do anything and if you get in their way, and break their rules you’ll pay for it,” Xander responds sternly. He looks at the new angel and his gaze softens. She truly wants to help it seems, but he can’t trust her until she proves herself.
Adora huffs wiping the dried tears off her face and flies back to her dorm. Her head hurts with conflict. Everything he has said matches up. And everything she has read and known shows that fallen angels are bad, and they say and do bad things against God, but is that the case?
Adora scrambles to the bookcase grabbing everything she can find that might give her answers. She spends hours reading them, looking for any clue on what to believe, what’s right or wrong in this situation. How to help. Anything!
Adora falls asleep in her pile of books leaving her roommates to find her, curious and concerned. They recognised one of the books on fallen angels and hoped she had not begun talking to him. When somebody asks too many questions only bad things can happen, that is the lesson many angels have learned. They hope Adora will learn it soon too.
This is purely to help me stop hating myself for reading smut. so the synopsis is the reader is getting angry with themselves and basically slut-shaming themselves for reading smut when Kiri comes in and helps them feel better and normal again
CW: No actual smut ironically, self slut-shaming ig, gender-neutral reader
Y/n continues scrolling through their phone through the smut stories they have saved. Kirishima, Y/n's boyfriend, opens the door to their home. Hearing the door open Y/n looks back down to the current story they're reading.
"Why do I read this?" They mutter to themselves, "It feels bad but also good...." they pause for a moment thinking. "it's bad though....isn't it?"
Y/n shuts off their phone tossing it to the end of the bed as Kirishima walks in.
"Hey Pebble, I'm home. How are you?" he asks sitting beside his partner.
Y/n stays silent bringing their knees to their chest.
"Is something wrong Pebble?"
.....Y/n pauses a moment before saying "I feel ucky,"
"You feel...ucky? Why Baby?" he responds hugging y/n.
Y/n hides their face in their arms more biting their lip. They just want to cry, scream, hurt. Y/n points to their phone at the edge of the bed instead of answering verbally.
Kirishima picks up the phone opening it. His eyes glance through the open tab before quickly understanding. "You were reading," he says.
"I was reading ucky stuff."
"Well, did you want to read it Baby" he questions setting the phone back down before placing a hand on Y/n's shoulder.
"Y-yes, I did. But it's still ucky to read, isn't it?" Y/n responds looking up to meet Kirishima's eyes for the first time since he got home.
"It's not ucky y/n. We all have feelings and sometimes we read things to cope with those feelings. It's human Baby. I promise that reading smut or when we play around it doesn't make you ucky. As long as you want to and it doesn't harm you it's okay Pebble. I promise," Kirishima explain giving off a gentle smile with his sharp teeth.
Y/n stays silent for a moment watching their boyfriend. They then smile hugging him. "Thank you Ei, I feel a lot better now"
"Good, now how about we watch a movie? I got this new (favourite genre) movie!"
A/n: Yes I actually get these thoughts, could be from a multitude of things and yes I really do call myself ucky idk why but that's the word I use. I hope some of you were able to find comfort in this if you get the thoughts too.
TW: Christianity, Death/Afterlife, Transphobia
Adora sets his body down gently standing, “Marlo! Marlo, I’m so sorry,”
“How do you know that name? Who are you?” Marlo looks around, seeing his body on the floor, “what am I? I thought I was dead?”
“You are dead. You’re a spirit now. I’m your guardian angel Adora I can show you to heaven now if you want. Or we can say goodbye to your family and friends?”
“Heaven? But, I’ve sinned. I thought I was going to hell. I was bad,” Marlo says confused and voice shaking. Death is hard for many to understand.
“Oh no, most people go to heaven, it’s only really bad people that go to hell that would inhibit the peace of Heaven and the afterlife. You will be judged but you haven’t done anything nearly bad enough to go there. Maybe a class or two before you’re free,” Adora explains rushing to assure Marlo he’s not damned. “We can say goodbye to your family and friends before we leave if you want,”
Marlo looks down at his body bleeding out and paling before shaking his head. “No thanks, I don’t think I can,”. Adora nods holding out her hand and Marlo and her head to heaven.
Adora was upset about failing her mission, about Marlo dying and having to bring him here. She knew she had a heavy price to pay and it loomed over her head. She tried pushing it down wiping the tears coming out of her eyes.
“This place is crazy… it’s so nice. Am I allowed here? I was told I was wrong though. Will I get wings like you?” Marlo asks looking around and following Adora through the afterlife process.
“Of course, you’re allowed here. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to reassure you that you were worthy. You weren’t being tested, you didn’t fail,” she responds, “I’m the one who failed,” Adora mumbles under her breath sadly.
“You did fail. Macey, I will be filling out your paperwork, Adora has reports to finish,” Alice says walking over to the two.
Marlo looks like he was shot in the heart looking between Adora and Alice. “His name is Marlo. I know I failed but please don’t harm him more.” Adora speaks up her eye blazing down
“Marlo…yes. Well, come follow me, Marlo,” Alice says coldly walking away as Marlo follows his hope seemingly fading.
Adora watches hiding her tears before going back to her dorms. She sits at her desk and grabs her journal to start her reports beginning to cry. The tears stain her cheeks and the pages as her body racks. Why did it not work, why did it not help? What could Adora have done to help him?
A knock on her door forms and Adora wipes her eyes looking up. “Come in,” she says trying to keep her voice stable and from cracking. The door cracks open and one of her roommates Ariel poked her head in. “I heard you crying, I just wanted to check on you,” She says softly.
Adora forced a smile nodding, “I’m alright I guess, I took a difficult job and I failed. I feel so bad for him,”
“The first job you flunk is always the worst. But bringing someone to the afterlife, and seeing them experience coming to heaven for the first time is nice too. Try looking towards the positive,” Ariel hums smiling before waving and leaving the room.
Adora wipes her eyes nodding. Think of the positive, she can do that. Marlo seemed happier to be here. He seemed reassured that he wasn’t bad. He seemed better after coming to the afterlife.
Adora sighs softly smiling to herself and picking up her pen to begin her reports. She begins with the mission report, stating the facts of his past, his state, his family, friends, and being, even his death and passage. It took a couple of hours to write down everything. What she learned, what she tried, and where she went wrong. It was difficult, and heartbreaking at times, but Adora finished the mission report with full detail and accuracy.
Next was the failed report. The report goes into detail about why she shouldn’t have haggled this job, why she failed, and why she should have taken Alice’s offer to just push to priority. Adora takes a stretch before beginning knowing that this report will hurt her more; worst of all though will be waiting a whole year before helping more people.
In the morning Adora dresses getting ready for the day like any other and leaves the dorm to hand in her reports.
“Adora!” she hears someone call out. Looking over she sees Marlo running over in his new white attire.
“Hi Marlo, how was your first night?” she asks smiling. Marlo’s hair had changed shorter and his chest had flattened.
“The paperwork was difficult but I woke up like this! I look… I look like a boy. I got enrolled into a class about sin too but Alice said I lived a good life,” Marlo says smiling brightly.
“That’s wonderful Marlo. I’m going to Alice right now to turn in my reports,”
“I’m going to look around more before my class. I’ll see you around Adora,” Marlo says before leaving.
Adora smiles softly walking to Alice’s office. She knocks softly before opening the door. “Alice, I brought the reports from the last mission, both of them,”
“Thank you. You can leave them on my desk. Your correction classes start in a week for you to grieve,” Alice responds barely looking up from her task. Adora nods walking in and setting the reports down. “The schedule will be sent to your dorm in a couple of days,”
“Thank you, Alice,” Adora mumbles before leaving.
A week to grieve? Adora has a lot to think about, sure, but she doesn’t feel as bad as she did before. Marlo feels at peace now and he feels happy in his body.
Marlo runs up to her, “I’m out of class Adora, and I was wondering, can you bring me back to say goodbye now? I’m ready now if I can,”
“Hm, I’m sure we can, let me double-check with Alice first,” Adora responds kindly, heading off to the head guardian angel's office.
Adora knocks with Marlo right behind her. “Come in,” the cold voice answers. Adora and Marlo open the door stepping inside.
Bowing her head slightly Adora begins, “Alice, we were wondering if we could go down so Marlo could say goodbye to his family and friends now,”
Alice watches and stands from her desk. “Yes that’s fine, but I’ll be accompanying you two,”
“Thank you miss,” Adora responds smiling looking over to Marlo.
Marlo smiles nervously nodding. Alice walks over and they leave towards Marlo’s home.
Walking in first Marlo goes to find his dad, he isn’t in the living room or his room. Marlo takes a deep breath before walking into his room. Marlo sees his dad on the phone shaking. His body is gone but the blood is still stained there, and the hair that was chopped off layed on the floor. “Yeah, I’d appreciate you coming down Mom. I should have seen the signs,” He says his voice shaking.
“He…he’s sad? He cared about me?” Marlo said tearing up watching.
“Of course he did, you were his child, the only thing he had left after his wife passed, but he was still dealing with that loss,” Alice explains.
“He never showed any care. I never noticed, anything,”
“I was blind Mom I know. I shouldn’t have been so harsh. I should have listened. I need you,” Marlo’s dad continues on the phone, tears welling in his eyes, his voice quivering.
“Would you like to say anything to him?”
“Can I? Will he hear it?”
“He won’t hear it per se, but he’ll feel you here,”
Marlo nods softly walking over to his dad. He places a hand on his dad’s shoulder.
“Bella will watch over her now, I know she will,” He says softly into the phone.
Marlo tenses slightly before nodding, “I’m okay now Dad, I’m okay now,” he turns back to us and nods.
“Anyone else to visit?” Adora asks tilting her head softly.
“Lynne and Oliver, I want them to know it’s not their fault,” Marlo says hiding his face, tears falling.
“Very well, they’re at school,” Alice says walking over to Marlo’s old school. Lynne and Oliver were in a hallway, skipping class. It’s understandable after the news the school probably told them. Suicide awareness was always big at school.
Lynne was crying in her brother's arms. Oliver was holding her tight tear stains on his face. “We should have listened, it’s our fault,” Lynne cries holding on tighter.
“We should have listened. But he’s at peace now… he’s with God now,” Oliver responds.
Marlo is taken aback by his friends calling him that but smiles sitting in front of them. Marlo embraces the two in a hug tightly. “I don’t blame you two. It’s okay, don’t blame yourself please,” he whispers. The three embrace for a while before Marlo backs away nodding. “I’m ready to go back,”.
“Let’s go then,” Alice says. Marlo nods as Adora watches the twins cry holding each other. The three return to heaven. “Bella, she’s your mother, yes?”
“Yes,” Marlo responds wiping his eyes.
“If you want I can see if I can find her for you. It’s easier to process the grieving with someone else,” Alice responds giving one of her rare soft smiles.
Marlo smiles back sadly nodding, “I haven’t seen her in so long, I’d love that,”
Aquarium dates. He loves looking at all the strong manly aquatic life like sharks and spider crabs. He's probably the type to get distracted half way through reading the facts of one animal amd run off to something else
Some "manly" restaurant (idk how else to describe it) to show off his manly appetite and favourite foods. If his S/O struggles eating he would make sure to help and praise or congratulate them no matter how much they ate.
Kirishima loves training with his S/O. Spotting each other, showing off to each other, and correcting the others form. He found his partners strength so enduring and manly
Finally, he definently loves hair dye dates where they touch up roots together.
I change my hair a ton which is why in these drawings I have different hair colours but I just feel like sh!t and want to be in Kiri's arms.
You guys may not know but I cosplay. Here's some pictures of Mizore Shirayuki from Rosario Vampire
AU: The heroes don't run into Eri and save her giving Overhaul the time to perfect both the quirk erasing bullet and quirk replacing bullet. He becomes famous amongst both heroes and villians running the two bullet companies but no one knows about Eri's part other than being Overhaul's quiet daughter.
One of Overhaul's many assistants was applying light makeup to the child in front of them. They did their best to hide the puffiness and dark circles under the girl's eyes but from the sleepless nights of crying it was hard.
Eri, the 13-year-old daughter of the creator of both quirk erasing and quirk replacing bullets, Overhaul.
Overhaul and Eri are preparing for an interview on one of the biggest TV shows in the country. Overhaul walks in fixing his white gloves.
"Eri, it's time to go. Don't forget, you don't say a word at the interview," he says for the 100th time.
"Yes, sir" she mumbles standing. Eri straightens out her dress taking her caregiver's hand. Overhaul and Eri walk out to the talk show floor.
"And here the man of the hour is, Overhaul! With his beautiful young daughter. Welcome you two," The hostess says standing to shake the twos' hand.
"Thank you so much for having us. It's truly an honour," Overhaul hums.
The three of them sit and the interview begins.
"So, do you have any details about how you make quirk replacing drugs?" the hostess begins. Overhaul chuckles smiling at her.
"Of course I can't share any of the processes, it's a secret, if I did then replicas may pop up left and right. I hope you understand. It's for my productions security," He responds.
"Oh of course I understand!" The hostess hums. "Well, how is it running this company with suck a quickly growing young girl to take care of?"
"It's a challenge on occasions but Eri is much better at listening than when she was younger,"
The Interview continues, with minimal questions directed towards the young girl when it finally ends.
"Thank you two so much again for joining us today it was a joy," the hostess ends.
Overhaul and Eri walk out towards the back to leave. The poor girl is struggling to hold back tears thinking of all the lies her caregiver so freely spills. As they exit the building paparazzi surround them and Overhaul makes sure his grip on Eri's arm is firm. A small reminder to smile as though everything is okay.
Shakily Eri smiles at the crowd and is pulled off to the car. Overhaul and Eri return to their house, the base, headquarters, whatever words you want to call it. Any except home. That place is no home, and never will be as long as she's dissected for evil.
"I need to clean up and finish some paperwork before we work on the next batch of removal bullets," Overhaul says.
Eri barely hears him running to her room as soon as she entered the door.
Overhaul rolls his eyes at the childish behaviour before leaving to clean up.
In the young girl's room, Eri pulls at her hair as the tears begin falling.
"AHHHHHH!" she screams at the top of her lungs.
By now it's a normal occurrence at the Shie Hissaki headquarters so the other workers pay no mind to the screams, sobs, and objects clashing as they're thrown around.
Finally calming down again Eri quietly sobs thinking, 'if only they knew, if only they knew how bad they hurt her, how badly she needs help to leave'
Don't make me regret this please, here's an old-ish drawing of my dream) little space with the lyrics of the song 'Little Space' by Syxe
