Any person of any gender can use any name.This website shows quite a few people who named their baby girls Carter. It’s a cute name! Someone, I think Ty Turner? made a video about keeping your old name when you transition, and in it, his cousin, who was a trans woman, kept her birth name Tristan. I’ve mostly met guys named Tristan, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be a girl and rock it! If you like Carter, and you’re a girl, it’s a girl’s name!

I’m really sorry that you’re in this situation! I hope you’re able to get somewhere safe and healthy soon, and that you’ve got a support system now.

Pixie cuts are pretty feminine short cuts. Kpop guys tend to have pretty androgynous haircuts as well. “Skater boy”/Justin Bieber haircuts are also good for someone who wants longer or shorter hair cut can’t get it (true trans masc and trans fem solidarity). There are lots of pictures online if you google it, and you’ll know better than me what pictures your dad would accept.
