block people stop whiny man from throwing destructive temper tantrum
story time:
I got extremely obsessed with mcsm when during the summer when I was 11, to the point where 99% of my thoughts were about this game. everything was going fine until the first day of school came around and my brain suddenly realized that I cant think about mcsm all day anymore. apparently this was so upsetting that it caused my brain to start melting. Like I felt like I was genuinely losing my mind. I had to grab my planner and start pretending to read it so other people wouldn't catch onto the fact my sanity was slipping because of a fucking block game.
on an unrelated note I got diagnosed with autism a bit ago

Maybe it's because Shannon Messenger is blonde. (I think she's blonde, anyway.)
i just realized how there are so many blonde characters in kotlc
I'm a bit of a character outfit/costume nerd and I was wondering if you had anything to share about what went in to making the outfits for The New Order's season 2 outfits? I can tell that Lukas and Petra keep the more "hero" appearance because they are still active adventures, while Axel and Olivia have more casual clothes becuase their focus has shifted from being adventurers to being leaders of Redstonia and Boomtown respectively. (Also whoever decided that Axel should wear a flannel and a skull shirt was so right and deserves cookies.)
The goal for season 2’s costume design were to reflect two things:
1. How things had changed in the characters’ lives since the first season - Lukas is still an adventurer, but a new one focused on stories and exploration, hence his new (frankly, anime-inspired) outfit. Petra is still clinging to the past which is why her armor is still the same one from the portal arc, just endlessly repaired and cobbled back together. Axel and Olivia have traded adventuring for running their towns, so their clothes reflect that… and then of course Ivor is a ninja now. Naturally.
2. How the server/world on the whole had changed and evolved - Something we never got the chance to show is that Beacontown is a hub city connected to every other town by a complex subway and mail tube system. It’s even connected to worlds within the portal network thanks to complicated and well-organized use of the enchanted flint & steel + the atlas of the old builders. This means that people from all over the world(s) are coming together in Beacontown to make it a melting pot of all kinds of styles and appearances. Characters like Radar in his hoodie + tie combo, Jack’s urban pirate look, Stella’s power suit.. these are some of the looks meant to reflect the increasing diversity of Jesse’s world and move the art direction away from some of the semi-medieval/fantasy vibes that were still hanging around.

With such a knack for theatrics it’s amazing Ford didn’t major in drama
This might be obvious, but I feel like it's often misunderstood about Jesse's character.
When confronting the Apex and running away with Lake, his number does not change. They don't get his exit right away, it doesn't appear after this dramatic moment of him standing up for himself and his friend.
"But Yellow! It's about the pacing! It's about the drama of them running away!"
For one, Jesse's problem isn't that he can't stand up for himself. Because he can! And he shows us this!
"It looks like your punching wasn't doing much good either."
"I was yelling! It's still my turn to yell!"
He talks back after Lake mocks his approach. He puts his foot down and defends himself.
"Pft. You would."
He antagonizes Lake after the flecs outted them as a criminal. He doesn't bend to Lake's whims like someone who's spineless.
"You better not tell mom!"
He doesn't grovel for Nate not to tell their parents. Doesn't promise to make it up to him later, doesn't try to lighten this blow at all. The way someone would if they always played both sides.
Defending himself is not his problem, not really. It's not even just people-pleasing.
"Don't tell me what to do!"
"I'm not gonna be a part of anything like this. On or off the train!"
If it was? This would have been the scene Jesse got his exit. There's enough build up for it, we don't need the chase scene before it, we could still have the flex show up after Jesse's exit closed with Lake on the other side.
But it isn't.
"I've got you. We're getting out of here."
It's only after he reassures Lake that his number changes. After he promises to stay with them, to side with them.
Jesse's issues were about standing up for others. For defending other people, even when it wasn't convenient. Not about him.
(Shout out to @elibethqueen for this post, love you bb)
Ok so like (9.5 spoilers kinda?)
1. I've never understood the amount of hate Fitz gets. Like, yeah, he has flaws, but you know who else does? Literally every other character. Yes, even Keefe, who I love with my entire being. And it's completely fine to not like characters, I've just always felt like he gets a disproportionate amount of hate compared to everyone else.
2. Everyone is suddenly saying they love Alvar after Unravelled??? I understand he's "changed" now or whatever but.. he did so much to help the Neverseen and no amount of pancake-rambling from him will ever make me forget that. Sure, I hate him a little less now that he's settled down, but he's still not lovable (imo) and I thought it was really weird how much Keefe was just chilling with him in 9.5. I understand what Shannon was trying to do there but also.. it just didn't feel right to me. Especially when I see people brushing over all the stuff he did just because he's goofy now. Um.
3. PEOPLE ARE SAYING THEY LOVE ALVAR MORE THAN FITZ??? I get it, you hate Fitz, but.. c'mon..
Also I'd like to clarify that in this post I'm talking about people loving Alvar and excusing his past actions, not his character in itself. I love Vespera's character, I think she's super cool and interesting, but I don't love her.
Anyway, it doesn't really matter because everyone can have their own opinion and that's the beauty of stories, and one of the best things about KOTLC is the huge range of characters, but I just thought I'd share my opinions on it. So yeah, absolutely no hate to these people, I just personally don't get it 😭
