Bad news, I think I have a little bug and had to miss work. The good news is that I will be able to finish the first chapter of the Pirate AU tonight. I just have to edit it as well as the prologue, and I'll post it in just a little bit!
Man, I named my blog after one of the coolest objects in Arcane. Look at it!! It’s so sick 😍😍

Hi! I just started reading your fic today and I am currently on chapter 20. I just love the way you write Cassandra. I came for the CaitVi but fell in love with Cassandra. I didn't realize you were also on Tumblr so I got even more excited! Thank you for writing and I can't wait to read more :)
Thank you so much! A lot of people seem to like her, which makes me happy 🥰 And holy cupcake did you fly through it if you got through 20 chapters in one day! Haha this is not a short fic. And I don’t post anything on tumblr outside of this, since I made this side blog specifically for this fic, but I will share some ramblings about writing it on here. Welcome aboard 💜💜💜
I just had a revelatory idea for Low Lays the Devil in Me and I am super inspired to write but my poor hands need a break after the looooong one shot I wrote in 24 hours. God damn it. 😂
Petition to make the “post” and “preview” button on ao3’s chapter section in two different places or two different colors or something to differentiate them more. The number of times I’ve almost clicked post instead of preview is a lot 🤣
“I know I hurt your feelings, Vi. I’m not an idiot. It was all over your face. I’m trying to apologize,” Caitlyn stated, interrupting her thoughts. Vi began to remove her clothes to change for Caitlyn’s lessons that would start soon. “You already apologized, princess. Not sure what you think has changed between last night and this morning,” she replied, pulling on a plain brown linen shirt and her most comfortable pair of leggings. “I’m not saying it just to say it, Vi. I truly didn’t mean what I said, I promise you.” Anger flared up in her, and she rounded on Caitlyn, startling her into taking a step back. “You Pilties and your promises. Do you have any idea how many of them your people have made to mine, only to break them? All you know how to do is talk. Like that will solve any of our problems,” she scoffed. “If you think that your words last night were the most horrible thing I’ve ever experienced at the hands of a Piltovan, you’re as arrogant as every other Topsider. So, why don’t we just chalk last night up to yet another win for the Pilties against a trencher and move the fuck on?”
Tethered - Chapter 6 - caitlynkirammansrifle - Arcane: League of Legends (Cartoon 2021) [Archive of Our Own]
Caitlyn does something that completely shocks Vi, and Vi slowly starts to figure out what has changed about their tether.
@wrongcaitlyn hi!!!! You are so sweet!!!??? Thank you, what an incredible thing to say! I'd love to read your CaitVi whenever you are able to put it out. 😭❤️💙
Do y'all ever read a fic so good that it makes you want to elevate your own craft and also befriend the writer? It's almost like, "Hi! You write so well that you've inspired me to embark on a creative training arc. Also, can I yell about the character in your dms because you get it?"
Vi stared at the woman. For a long, long minute. To the councilor’s credit, she did not squirm or repeat herself. The teenager let out an uncomfortably chuckle, unsure how else to react. Vi would have been less surprised if the councilor had asked her to pose naked as an art installation at the Gala. “I’m sorry,” Vi said very carefully. “You just asked me, a sump-raker who has only–” “Violet, I really must say, I truly dislike how often you refer to yourself in such derogatory terms,” the councilor interrupted in an unhappy tone. Vi rolled her eyes. “You want me, an orphan Zaunite born in the deepest depths of the fissures and who tried to rob you, to be Caitlyn Kiramman’s—your daughter’s—date to one of the most extravagant Piltover high society celebrations of the year?” Vi asked, hoping the woman would hear how ludicrous that sounded. “Yes,” Councilor Kiramman said with no hesitation.
Councilor Kiramman has a potentially awkward request to make of Vi. Vi finds herself at the Kiramman Manor, again, to speak with Caitlyn about her mother's awkward request.
OH! Just saw that "Low Lays the Devil in Me" has just reached over 100,000 words with the newest chapter. Which means this CaitVi series is now almost 300,000 words long. We still have quite a ways to go in this fic, but I do believe we're now on the other half of half way done plot wise. Hard to tell when I'm making it up as I go along, but holy shit these are long fics. Haha. Definitely could see this series being 350,000 words total before I'm finished.
Thanks to everyone who has read, commented, left a kudos, or shared and those who interact with me on my little fanfic blog. You guys are the best <3
Caitlyn hummed. “I’m not sure if you’re aware, Powder, but I have quite a strong connection to the Artificers Guild,” she said. “If you’d like, and when you’re ready, I could see if they’ll be willing to hear a presentation of your hoverboard from you and Ekko.” Powder looked like she was going to pass out. “You’d—you’d do that?” she whispered. Caitlyn smiled. “Of course. It sounds like an incredible invention.” Powder looked at her in awe. “You are officially the coolest person I know.” Vi scoffed in offense. “What about me?” Powder completely ignored her and grabbed Caitlyn’s hand to pull her down the street. “Come with me! Vi said you’re a really good dancer. You've got to check out this place down the street. One of the innovators created a band of instruments that play by themselves!”
Caitlyn finally gets her tour of The Lanes.
"A good captain would sit back and let their crew bask in the limelight of fighting such a ferocious beast. You're sitting here by yourself, letting them brag to the whole bar, without joining in," Caitlyn explained. "Perhaps I just enjoy my alone time." "They have rooms here for that, yet you sit here alone despite being surrounded by people," she replied easily. Vi's smirk turned into a charming grin, and she pulled the chair she had her arm on out from under the table. "Maybe I was just waiting for the right person to join me," she stated. Caitlyn ducked her head in a coquettish manner before she sat next to the pirate, who did not remove her arm from behind Caitlyn's chair. This is good, but don't get cocky, she warned herself before she spoke again. "So, fact or fiction: did you really fight off a sea scarab in the middle of a storm?"
