Haha I love that you’re excited. Just know it would be a while before I could get to it since I still have Low Lays the Devil and the Pirate AU. But I’d love to get to it down the line. I do think they’d have 1 kid, probably be in the early to mid thirties, and it would be suuuuper angsty.

Below the "Keep Reading" line, I've uploaded a screenshot of the list of lore/world building that I've changed or expanded on from the show. I've wanted to do this for a while, but now that the fic is almost done, I don't think I'll have to add anything to it. For anyone caught up, none of this is spoiler-y if you do read it. I explain the purpose of the list in the screenshot. This is now placed in the Chapter One notes with the link to the map. If you haven't read/aren't caught up, the spoilers are not really that bad, but avoid if you like going in completely blind. I just know that some people might appreciate knowing this before reading to help understand it better.

Thank you for the well wishes! It’s healing, but still a little painful. The wound is right on the bottom edge of my left palm, which is right where I rest it when typing, so definitely awkward still. On the mend though!

I haven’t come up with an answer to that, idk if I ever will, but I have thought of that conundrum. It could be their second child gets Vi’s council seat or they could have one of Mylo’s kids if ever had any take over. There’s lots of ways it could happen.

Caitlyn sighed and gripped her fingers, pulling Vi closer as she kissed her palm so tenderly it made the back of Vi’s eyes burn. “I could never have done this without you, Cupcake,” Vi whispered. Caitlyn shook her head. “You are so strong, Violet,” she replied and brought a hand up to Vi’s chest, laying it over her heart. “And you love so fiercely. You are the daughter of revolutionaries. Caitlyn felt her breath hitch ever so slightly at how handsome this burglar was and prayed that the other woman hadn’t heard it. “Thanks for potentially saving my dissertation,” she replied. There was an awkward pause and Caitlyn got the bizarre feeling that the woman didn’t actually want to leave. Caitlyn was surprised that she didn’t want her to leave, either. It lasted only a moment before the stranger lowered herself down partially. She looked up at Caitlyn one more time with a more serious expression. “You should lock your balcony. The next burglar may not be as nice.”

Inspired by this post. I'll get back to writing "Low Lays the Devil in Me" soon, but I think someone needs to take my keyboard away from me because I have a problem. And bring me an ice pack for my poor hands.

My college professors would be so proud of me for using the research skills they taught me to try to figure out what the metal ring on the outside of a ductwork is for my fanfic 🤣 it’s called beading, in case anyone wanted to know.

Okay, so I decided to go with it. It'll make for a better story. Essentially, if anyone wants a sneak peak, I changed it so that Vander and Cassandra have never met. If you remember, he escorted her with Grayson when Vi met her for the first time and she says something about talking with Vander about Vi's community service. And then Cassandra mentions meeting him briefly it in the most recent chapter, but I've never actually written a scene with them.

Dilemma

Hmmm. I'm kind of thinking of doing something I haven't done yet and going back to change up something super, super minor about Heart Made of Glass in the very beginning. It wouldn't effect the plot that's already happened at all (or if it does it would be so minor I think some people might not even notice), but it would help amp up the drama ever so slightly for future plans.

Not sure how I feel about changing something I've already posted beyond grammar/spelling errors. If any one who reads "Heart Made of Glass, My Mind of Stone" would care, let me know. Still pretty on the fence about it.

This is what happens when you start a story and post before knowing where it'll go. So far I've been able to avoid this pitfall, but I'm honestly surprised it hasn't been an issue yet given how quickly and casually I've been throwing the plot together. Besides, I've liked the creative challenge of molding the plot to what I've already written in my "canon" of the fic.

I know I'm not the only one but by God your writing is incredible. Low lays the devil and Heart made of glass have been my favorite CaitVi fics of all time. Everything you've written has been pure magic! ❤💙
