Okay, I know I don't owe anyone any explanations, but I do like to keep you all in the loop. I am having a hard time nailing down a really important series of small scenes in the Noxus chapters (which is currently 16,000+ words long pre-edit😬), and it's happening at a very busy week of work/personal life. So, I promise, this isn't me abandoning it. I'm still actively working on it, and even thinking about it when I'm not, but I just want it to turn out well, as much for you and for me. It'll make my brain go brrrrrrr when I figure it out, but I just need to get to that stage still lol reminds me a bit of the Kiramman Gala chapter in "Heart Made of Glass" 😂

This next chapter is taking longer than I thought because it’s going to be a doozy. I’m at 7300 words and I have lots more that needs to happen. I didn’t expect it to be that long but once I realized what I wanted to accomplish in Noxus, I realized it was going to be more like a short story inside the bigger story. I think you guys will like it though.

My life–Caitlyn’s life–is worth more than being some councilor’s bitch while you just sit back and play your gods damned chess match with us. I am not a pawn and I refuse for you to act like my life is some kind of game for you to play with. Either you talk or we are through.”

Caitlyn sucked in a sharp gasp and looked up at Vi, meeting her eyes in the mirror. Vi immediately slapped her hand over her eyes and suddenly wished the floor beneath her would open up and swallow her whole. “I’m sorry!” she rushed out, her voice cracking. She could feel how hot her cheeks were, both from arousal and humiliation. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean—I forgot the mirror was there—I only saw for a second—“ She stopped talking, her brain moving too quickly for her to get a full sentence out. Through the tether, Vi felt mild embarrassment, but was mostly dominated by flattery and a shared arousal. But there was no anger and Vi felt herself relax ever so slightly. “It’s okay,” Caitlyn said, her voice slightly strained. “I believe you, Vi.” The silence between them was incredibly awkward and Vi was still fighting the heat that simmered beneath her skin. We should probably talk about this as well at some point, she thought, tightening the hand she still held over her eyes.

So, I love my job, but I don’t want to go today because I just want to keep writing 😭🤣 the next chapter of “Tethered” is going to be fun to write and I would rather do that.

INCOMING! I have some edits I need to do for the next chapter of "Low Lays the Devil in Me" and I'm hoping to get it done in the next few hours before I have to go to work. You guys wanted a Vi rescue mission? You will soon have 11,500+ words worth of a chapter on it 😉 just know that it gets pretty dark given the situation our characters have found themselves in, but not too graphic.

I made a bluesky profile for my writing if anyone is interested in a follow, but I'm not sure if I'll keep it. Given that this is a side blog, I feel like I'd actually be able to be more interactive on something like bluesky and I absolutely refuse to make a twitter account. Okay, the next chapter is done but I still need to edit and I’ve run out of time to do that. I can probably get that done tonight or early tomorrow. We’ll see how work goes. I gotta say, I’m pretty proud of how it turned out 😁

Question! This chapter for Noxus is suuuuper long. Like, so far is over 20,000 words and I still have one big conversation to wrap up and some descriptions and supplemental scenes and then I'm done. Should I split this mini-book into two chapters (Noxus Part 1 and Noxus Part 2) or keep it as one big chapter?
