She stood up to go to him, but caught herself on the counter as a wave of dizziness hit her like an airship. “Vi? You’re covered in blood!” he exclaimed in horror. “I think I—I think I hit—” Vi stuttered, the room spinning more and more and her vision became spotted. The dull throbbing in the back of her head she had been ignoring for the last thirty minutes began to suddenly get worse. She felt Vander’s fingers run through her hair and pulled them back, crimson staining his hand. “I think I hit my head,” she muttered. Her eyes rolled back and her world turned black.

Haha I love that you’re excited. Just know it would be a while before I could get to it since I still have Low Lays the Devil and the Pirate AU. But I’d love to get to it down the line. I do think they’d have 1 kid, probably be in the early to mid thirties, and it would be suuuuper angsty.

I do think writing fics has changed Vi from being my second fave to just being tied with Caitlyn for absolutely favorite. Idk if it’s cuz I’ve tried to spend so much time in her head from canon (at least, how I interpret being in her head) or what. But I’m not mad. She’s an amazing character. They’re just my babies ❤️💙

"What is that supposed to mean?" he asked with a low growl. Cassandra seemed unmoved by his flash of anger. "Caitlyn never would have behaved so abhorrently before she met Vi. I'm not sure I like the influence she is having on my daughter," Cassandra stated matter-of-factly. Righteous indignation flared through Vi as she heard the couch creak as Vander gripped the frame of it until his knuckles were white.

Chapter 7: Born in This World as it All Falls Apart

In order to avoid time in Stillwater Prison, Vi must complete community service after getting caught stealing from Jayce Talis, the protégé of the wealthy and intelligent Councilor Cassandra Kiramman. Instead of spending her nights working at The Last Drop and her days looking after her siblings in Zaun, she now has to be the errand girl to one of the most powerful people in Piltover. However, Vi soon realizes that something isn’t right. What secret project is Jayce working on? Why does the councilor keep sending Vi on strange assignments? And why won’t Caitlyn Kiramman leave Vi alone about what life is like in Zaun? Something is festering in the underbelly of both cities and Vi is beginning to suspect that the Kirammans know more than anyone realizes. OR A story of what could have happened if Hextech was never invented (with some liberties taken with both LoL and Arcane canon).

Hey everyone. So do not worry! This isn't me saying I'm not going to keep writing Heart Made of Glass (I have 1000 words written of the next chapter) but now that holidays are over, I might not be as quick on the draw for chapter updates.

The main reason, if anyone wants to know, is that I am dungeon master for 2 dnd games. We only play 4 times a month, but as the DM, I have outside planning/prep to do for the games. It doesn't take long, but in combination with the games themselves, it might slow down my writing of this fic a little, but not by much! For example, today I have a rare Sunday off of work, but I have dnd tonight and I have to prep for it, which might take an hour or two that I won't have for writing and even potentially editing (which can sometimes take as long as writing the actual chapter). So the next chapter might go out tomorrow instead of today. But we'll see!

P.S. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to do both, but I don't want to burn out. Slower updates are better than no updates

P.P.S. some people have asked/been saying they've been impressed with the near machine like way I've been able to put out "high quality content" (to quote one of you) so quickly. I absolutely attribute a great deal of that to dnd and being a dungeon master. Maybe I'll make a separate post about that one day since I think it has helped my actual writing and the process so much, which makes me wonder if anyone else feels that way.

Now that a dumb work emergency is over with, I can tackle this beast. This fucking bad boy is 12,300 words long. I got my emotional support Panda Express on the way and I'm going to try to get this beast edited before I leave for work in a few hours.

CaitVi Fic Update

So, I said in the last chapter notes that this next one might take me a while because it's going to be beefy. I'm 6000 words in and I don't even think I'm halfway 😭😬🤣 thank god I'm a fast typer lol

Haha there’s plenty of drama in this political/espionage intrigue story. Besides, navigating a relationship with all the shit that’s going down is way more interesting than breaking them up.

Writing tip to myself: try to sleep on a finished chapter before posting if it's late. I almost posted one at 2 am last night (which I have before and been happy with) but something didn't feel right and so I just slept on it. Looking at it now, I love what I wrote, but the "off" feeling was it's not placed in the right spot in the story. I'll use it later, but now I'll have to change up the chapter contents a little, which I'm already loving where it's going instead of what was going to happen. I think you guys will like it :D and what I will use later, as well.
