Sorry this is like such a random discrepancy but I randomly noticed that in your tumblr posts you're like a chapter number behind what's on ao3, like chapter 9 just came out, but you posted it was chapter 8. Idk why I'm telling ya, I just thought you'd maybe want to know, absolutely loving it! Just so you know!!!

I’m doing that on purpose because ao3 doesn’t allow for a prologue and will always label the first entry in a fic as “chapter one.” I’m being a stubborn fool and sticking with what an actual fictional work would number the chapters with since it doesn’t make sense to limit fics like that. So, while technically chapter one is the second entry of the fic, it’s actually the first chapter of the work.

Appreciate you pointing this out though, for real. If it were an accident, I’d want to fix it!

I swear on Janna I'm not abandoning Low Lays the Devil in Me, but I have to write a CaitVi one shot inspired by this. I'm already 3000 words into it and it really only will a one shot. Think of it as like a little balm to the angst in Low Lays the Devil 😂😂

So I've gone through the ideas that were given for a potential one-shot, and, while I still say I don't know yet if I will write one, one of them did catch my eye, but it reminded me of an old AU plot I had for HP back when I liked HP. We'll see. I'm very excited to jump back into Tethered (working on that next chapter starting today), and part of me might be too excited about the Pirate AU to wait 😂

I made a bluesky profile for my writing if anyone is interested in a follow, but I'm not sure if I'll keep it. Given that this is a side blog, I feel like I'd actually be able to be more interactive on something like bluesky and I absolutely refuse to make a twitter account. Vi did not want a front row seat to this. She backed away towards the door.  “I’ll give you some privacy. See you tom—” “Stay,” Caitlyn commanded, her eyes never leaving Cassandra’s. “I don’t want her to have the chance to spin this conversation to you in any way that benefits her. I want to hear what she has to say to justify herself in front of you.” Vi didn’t need to look at Cassandra to know that the councilor would tell her to listen to Caitlyn. This is what they’ve been waiting for and they needed to see how far Caitlyn would go for this.

Finally, the door opened and she was greeted by the sight of bright blue hair in long braided pigtails and light blue eyes wide with surprise. “CAITLYN!” cried Powder so loudly that it made Caitlyn’s ears ring. She suddenly scrambled to hold up Powder, who threw herself at Caitlyn and lifted her legs to wrap them around her waist.
