can you imagine what that would be like?

qui-gon and obi-wan are fighting darth maul on naboo, maul is clearly winning, and out of nowhere there’s this h u g e surge in the force

everyone is disoriented, maul recovers first and moves to deliver a killing blow, and all of a sudden he gets shot in the back like 27 times

in the background there’s the nearly incoherent babble of “kriffing hells that hurt what was it what happened holy shit that’s a sith that is definitely a sith should we shoot it sir we should definitely shoot it it’s about to kill a general we have to help did we kill it is it dead it’s gotta be dead now go check it i don’t want to check it let’s just shoot it again there it’s gotta be dead now are you alright generals”

maul is definitely dead, the energy shield things power down, obi-wan rushes to his master’s side and the incoherent babble gets louder as they’re suddenly surrounded by a team of men in white and blue armor all scrambling to provide aid

obi-wan, satisfied that his master isn’t going to get himself fucking m u r d e r e d any time soon, turns to examine to newcomers

a hush falls over the group when they see his face

then, out of the silence, comes “….holy kriff, sir, your boyfriend is a b a b y” followed by one of the men smacking the back of another’s helmet with a loud crack and growling “shut the fuck up, fives”

everyone is very confused for the foreseeable future

(bonus: the Brothers are d e l i g h t e d to meet baby!anakin, and he is equally delighted. no one else is delighted by a group of highly-trained soldiers calling a 9yo “general” and visibly restraining themselves from doing exactly what he tells them at all times.)

I’ll be the first to admit that I actively dislike “anti-hero” bad-guys, but this is some really good art, and Darth Vader IS a good villain.

you can select from multiple origins that provide not only an in-depth backstory but also a closer and more personal look at the different cultures that reside in thedas/ferelden

gives you a lot of lore and context that is vital to understanding the rest of the games

there are so many goddamn possible endings it’s actually incredible even minor choices you don’t think will impact the game can heavily affect character personalities (i’m looking at You, alistair and leliana)

it’s the oldest in the series so it sure looks and feels like it

just like dragon age: origins this game introduces certain story beats that are CRUCIAL to the next game

imo it has the best combat/level up mechanic in both games

down to earth story that focuses less on world-shattering events and more on the ugly, complicated, diverse relationships between people

provides more information on the qunari culture than the first game did with the introduction of the arishok + fenris

really delves deep into the conflict between mages and templars, and all the conflicts therein

unafraid to tackle the concept of horrible loss, sacrifice, the right to freedom, and the consequences of vengeance

in this house we are ALL bi for hawke

FROSTBITE ENGINE EVERYONE IS SO BEAUTIFUL

a deeper look into chantry hierarchies and the politics of thedas

semi-open world full of mysteries and things to explore!!

the approval system is much more streamlined with your companions tossing in their two cents whether they’re present or not

there’s so much elf lore in this game it’s spilling out the sides

companions come from all corners of thedas, providing us a more comprehensive look at the different countries

epilogue dlc that literally sets up and provides the premise for the next game WHY is this a dlc and not in the base game i just???

okay things to think about future movie nights:

Scott/Sara getting invited to movie night as soon as they’re allowed to leave the medbay

they tease their twin relentlessly about the cuddling with the LI

they tell everyone embarrassing stories from when they were kids

Reyes getting invited to movie night

he’s not exactly sure if he wants to, some of the crew still side eye him pretty hard (this is doubled with Scott/Sara there, tripled if Ryder is in a relationship with him)

it turns out to be a very fun evening and the crew relaxes a little around him

Vetra invites Sid, who absolutely jumps at getting aboard the tempest

Sid tries to sit in between Ryder and Vetra if they’re in a relationship “Leave room for Spirits, Vetra.”

Sid and Scott/Sara bonding over being the left out sibling

Gil says he wants to invite Jill and the stipulation is she can’t talk about re-population or try to convince anyone to have kids

Gil promises she’ll be on her best behavior

She is not on her best behavior. she keeps showing people pictures of babies and ultrasounds like they’re her own

Peebee complaining that this is getting way out of hand

a second couch is needed

Casual!Ryder trying to act out things, everyone is begging them not to

Professional!Ryder getting asked constantly to reenact scenes with various crewmates

everyone arguing for a week beforehand about what kind of movie to watch. Lexi, Cora, and Jaal want an asari flick, Liam, Vetra, and Drack want action, Peebee always wants to watch the Blasto movies, Suvi wants to watch any and all versions of Planet Earth, Kallo likes the spaceship version of pimp my ride but he and Gil argue over 90% of it, and Reyes keeps lowkey offering pirate movies.

They eventually have to start a rotation
