People want to come up with a lot of analysis for why Zuko/Katara is better than Aang/Katara, and like. I’m here for it. I’m enjoying reading it, and I’m going to read more of it. But also, what it all comes down to for me personally is that all the Katara/Zuko screentime, limited as it is, is more interesting to watch than the Katara/Aang romantic screentime. We can talk all day about how healthy each relationship would be, but where’s that post about how being boring is basically the worst crime you can commit in fiction? Watching Katara and Zuko bond through their shared understanding of grief is mesmerizing, and I wish we’d gotten more of that. Frankly I wish we had more Zuko bonding time in general.

You know is bad when a majority of the audience has been talking non stop about Ruby and Otis instated of the "main couple" that recently had their first kiss. I don’t think the writers anticipated the insane chemistry between Asa and Mimi. This proves again that it doesn’t matter if a certain pairing has the trope and slow burn, if the writing is repetitive and uneventful and the actors don’t have romantic chemistry people will 100% jump to the one that does. They truly made a big mistake by exploring Ruby and Otis and then ending them so abruptly to simply go back to the same narrative. People is actually pissed.

Ehem... so I don't have a problem with people expressing their opinions on something, but this is bullying.

Taking someone's fanfiction and posting it on Tumblr to make fun of the writer is fucking stupid. Someone wrote this with a lot of time and thought, voicing their opinions through their creativity. That's like me going into the kat*ang tag on AO3 and posting someone's hard work just to ridicule them, then completely invalidate their work of FICTION because I don't like the pairing.

I'd never do that because I'm not a fucking bully nor am I an idiot.

But Zutarians are called toxic and delusional. The only delusion is that people believe they have the moral high ground because their pairing is canon. So fucking what?! It's fanfiction created by passionate fans of a beloved show.

it is never ok to say a slur you cannot reclaim. and even if you can use one, you should never use it to describe anyone else (unless they’ve told you they’re ok with it). yes, that includes calling the lgbt community the “q//eer community.” please don’t.
