I found this template online a few months ago. It comes in handy when you don’t know where to start. So far my house is spotless and I’m not stressing out.
I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant. Please pray that I have a healthy, full term pregnancy and a healthy baby!
societies that demonize children and child bearing when their population starts its dramatic decline and women still refuse to have children: 😮
Japanese depictions of Our Lady and Our Lord
The routine of a virtuous woman to inspire your own
She wakes up earlier than all others at home - (Proverbs 31:15)
Dedicates her first moments in the morning to God (Proverbs 31:30)
Prepares the family meal with calm and organize her daily tasks (Proverbs 31:15)
Takes care of her appearance - not be complimented by people outside, but by her own family (Proverbs 31:25)
Takes care of her family needs and do the daily maintenance of her home (Proverbs 31:27)
Works with effort and dedication. Wherever she goes she’s a testimony of her family’s good reputation (Proverbs 31:13)
Tries to be creative and bring new investments and opportunities to her family (Proverbs 31:16)
Even at night she’ll save some energy and liveliness to use with her husband (Proverbs 31:18)
you don’t need to explain yourself all the time, don’t need to be liked by everyone. those are unrealistic expectations. just do your best.
The God shaped hole in the soul of man and in society is real and once you know it you see the effects of that God shaped hole everywhere you look
-"You have to be careful, baking is an exact science" I get that baking is literally chemical reactions, but unless you're a professional who's trying to get the exact same result every time it's not that big a deal. The current conditions in your house will influence your results, so you could do everything the exact same way every single time and get a slightly different result. Your house is not a laboratory (unless it is lol). *I do spoon my flour into my measuring cup and definitely believe this is crucial. Some technique is still required with baking, and there are still wrong ways to do things.
-"You have to weight everything with sourdough so you have the right ratios" This kinda goes with the last. Baking is older than modern science. The first people making sourdough didn't have kitchen scales, it's not that serious. Actually when I tried to switch to weighing with my established starter to make sure I had the right ratios, it killed my starter because there wasn't enough flour to feed the yeast 😅 I went back to just making sure the texture is right.
-"You can never have too many chocolate chips" I often add less chocolate chips than recipes ask for 😅 if it's only asking for a half cup or less I might follow it, but even though I love chocolate I don't love a ton of chocolate chips in things.
This is just what I thought of off the top of my head. Baking is a fun hobby! Everyone has their own opinions on things and will do things a little differently. If what you're doing is working for you then keep doing it! I'm not saying my way is the right way, these are just personal opinions. 🥰🩷
So many churches are raising young people to see the Holy Spirit as a force that primarily exists to make you “feel things” in worship. That you know you’ve been Touched™ because you have goosebumps and feel like crying or whatever.
I’m not downplaying the emotional impact an encounter with the spirit can illicit. That’s real. But when we place such an emphasis on our human response, we can make people who don’t experience these heightened emotions feel like they aren’t being filled with the spirit.
I’ve seen it happen before. “I felt nothing in worship”, “I’m in a spiritual rut”, “Why aren’t I being filled?”. The spirit is so much more than what you feel on a Sunday. Look at your fruits, look at God’s work in your life. That’s where you’ll find evidence of the spirit.
‘some women choose to do sex work’ okay and some women choose to shoot heroin or drown their infants or steal from charity or take their gum out and stick it underneath a table instead of throwing it away. every single possible action has at some point been chosen freely by someone. ‘x chose y’ is not an argument for/against whether something is healthy or ethical, it is a nothing statement. u are saying nothing.
