❝  charlie!  charlie!  charlie!  ❞  there’s  eagerness  embedded  in  her  tone  as  she  rushes  inside  the  music  store.  barbie  didn’t  know  how  to  contain  her  positive  emotions,  therefore  they  all  poured  out  akin  massive  rollers  of  the  roughest  coastlines.  her  smile  was  bright  and  genuine  –  it’ll  make  millions  someday  soon,  just  as  she  intended.  ❝  it  worked!!  applying  for  that  role  actually  worked!  you’re  now  looking  at  princess  aurora!  ❞  hands  motion  to  reveal  her  attire  (as  if  she  was  already  princess  aurora  ;  she  wasn’t)  –  and  oh,  the  wretched  dreams  of  stardom  …  it’s  all  barbie  ever  wanted,  to  be  on  screens,  to  leave  a  legacy,  to  be  remembered,  an  ideal.  and  it  seemed  like  it  finally  worked  out  for  her.  ❝  when  does  your  shift  end?  i  want  to  celebrate  this  with  you!  ❞  hands  clasped  together  as  she  shifted  in  her  position,  still  childlike  and  oblivious  to  the  reality.  nevertheless,  one  thing  remained  permanent,  steadfast  in  the  midst  of  it  all  :  the  need  to  celebrate  with  her  friends (like @tornblackedgcs),  for  it  was  them  who  had  her  back  all  along.

doe  eyes  flicker  to  carefully  analyze  his  technique  —  it  was  impressive,  but  the  hair  clearly  did  not  cooperate.  cue  a  defeated  sigh  leaving  her  rouged  pout.    "  nah,  dontcha  worry!  to  be  a  heartbreaker  you  must  first  find  that  energy  from  within.  "    she  utters  as  she  stepped  away,  giving  him  a  somewhat  acceptable  personal  space.  his  hair  seemingly  had  its  own  personality  and  barbie  could  roll  with  it.  she  knew  after  all,  all  too  well,  that  hair  strands  do  whatever  they  feel  like  doing,  especially  in  high  humidity.

hands  clasped  together  as  she  shifts  back  and  forth,  gaze  locked  unto  charlie.    "  c'mon,  bring  out  the  heartbreaker.  i  know  it's  somewhere  in  there,  you  just  have  to  dust  it  off.  "    she  snickered,  still  not  giving  up  on  overhauling  both  of  them.  cue  another  sigh,  just  as  beaten  as  the  previous  one,  accompanied  by  flinging  hands  before  sitting  beside  him.    "  it's  just  that…  everything's  changing  so  fast.  and  i  guess  i  shouldn't  stay  the  same.  at  least,  do  something  about  the  looks,  y'know?  "    ghost  of  a  smile  plastered  across  her  features  ;  of  course  there  was  more  underneath  all  that  makeover.

"nah, but you know? that's fair. just not overly...fond of the whole touch thing. at least not with people i'm not mega close to. immediate family-" which meant just his dad currently,"-and that's it. for now." charlie tried to sound reassuring and casual about the ordeal. he didn't like making things awkward for anyone, let alone people he considered friends.

hands full of gel, he watched her run off. a small sigh and then he raised a brow with a small smile at the immediacy of her finding the mirror. how did she have this kind of energy? "i think i know how this is gonna go-" gel through his hands and then he tried to move his hair in a way that matched her description. the issue? his hair still stuck up in random ways, all over. the gel kept it down for two seconds before popping back up. "yep. i figured that would be it. i appreciate the heartbreaker advice; i'll stick with my roughed up demeanor i guess."

there's also fairytopia stuck in the vhr for almost 2 decades ... if any1 has suggestions as to how to take it out , please do let a girl know ... the vhr doesn't eject automatically & tbh i don't think it works anymore . it does light up , it murmurs in ancient tongues when i press buttons like play / rewind / stop but that's about it .

i remember coming back from elementary school only to hop on pc for barbie horse adventure riding camp . those were the golden days . to this day i am thankful for the family friend that somehow got me this game when he realized letting an 8 year old play counter strike , shooting people and giggling wasn't okay . if any1 else played the game , do ya'll remember the glitch that transported you to another place that was inside this waterfall thing ? my memory may be skewed idk but i really loved that game . hence why it was so funny to me that horses were part of the movie . like hell yeah , horses rule !!!! speaking of this , later on today i will visit my grandma who found my barbie vhs tapes and the vcr . will update this post / reblog with the vhs tapes once i have them . i may also still have my horse toy from barbie , not too sure . can you tell your girl was into patriarchy horses ?

frankie  reminded  me  to  write  why  barbie  roberts  and  wednesday  addams  are  ONE  AND  THE  SAME.  of  course,  that  is  from  my  own  point  of  view  since  i'm  writing  them  both  with  personal  headcanons  and  everything.  so  here  we  go.

both  barbie  and  wednesday  have  little  to  no  knowledge  about  human  emotions  –  they  try  to  make  it  logical,  but  it  almost  never  works  out  for  them.

both  barbie  and  wednesday  have  signature  colors  –  fun  fact,  wednesday's  signature  color  used  to  be  pink  too!  also  black  and  pink  are  really  nice  colors.  i  know  black  isn't  technically  a  color  but  fight  me,  i  stand  by  what  i  said.

both  barbie  and  wednesday  CANONICALLY  (i  don't  agree  with  that  bs)  have  something  against  men  /  masculinity  overall.  barbie  dismisses  ken  just  as  wednesday  dismisses  xavier  in  the  show.  BOTH  show  some  remorse  by  the  finale.

both  barbie  and  wednesday  are  defying  stereotypes  –  the  girly  girl  barbie  breaks  away  from  traditional  gender  roles  while  the  goth  barbie  challenges  typical  perceptions  of  a  young  girl's  interests.  ALSO  THEY  ARE  BOTH  AIMED  FOR  LITTLE  GIRLS!

both  barbie  and  wednesday  show  the  potential  of  dynamics  between  two  or  more  people  –  barbie  existence  is  linked  with  the  other  dolls  (she  has  friends,  boyfriend,  even  family  members)  &&  wednesday's  existence  is  linked  with  her  family  (the  infamous  title:  addams  family  values).

both  barbie  and  wednesday  are  stubborn  lil  shits  –  look  at  any  barbie  movie  and  tell  me  she  isn't  stubborn  af.  look  at  any  addams  family  movie  or  tv  show  or  even  comic  and  tell  me  wednesday  isn't  stubborn  af.  this  is  a  dare.  i  dare  you.

both  barbie  and  wednesday  are  influenced  by  how  the  world  perceives  them  –  in  the  barbie  movie,  barbie  went  on  a  mental  breakdown  check  when  a  girl  called  her  a  fascist.  wednesday's  villain  origin  story  starts  when  she  notices  how  her  family's  being  treated  by  everyone  else.

cue  a  dramatic  gasp  as  soon  as  she  hears  veronica's  utterings.  a  look  of  pure  shock  embedded  onto  her  features,  eyes  wide  open  beneath  manicured  raised  brows,  glossed  lips  slightly  agape.  the  shake  of  the  head  started  faintly  but  it  increased  in  intensity,  golden  locks  caressing  her  countenance.  ❛❛  no.  no.  just  no.  ❜❜  she  muttered  first  under  her  breath,  as  she  stopped  shaking  her  head  in  denial,  ❛❛  he  was  supposed  to  keep  it  a  secret.  you  weren't  supposed  to  know!  ❜❜  exasperation  dripping  from  her  tone  as  hands  move  frantically  in  the  air.  a  deep  breath  in  and  a  deeper  breath  out.  both  hands  now  resting  atop  her  lap,  shoulders  rolled  backward  to  straighten  her  posture.  ❛❛  that's  so  not  cool  of  santa.  he's  now  on  my  naughty  list.  ❜❜    her  tone  back  to  its  melodic,  honeyed  range,  in  complete  opposition  to  the  little  scene  she  previously  put.  ❛❛  you're  not  like,  mad  or  something,  that  he  brought  you  here  without  putting  a  bow  in  your  head  and  forcing  you  to  stay  under  the  tree  or  whatever  he  does…  right?  or  do  you  want  that?  we  can  always  do  a  double  take!  ❜❜
