Been mega busy with works but this one slipped out in all the pixel work I’ve been doing.

Pardon the crude humor.  But also, let the crude humor do its thing.

From The Hmph

From the Hmph

I started recording some music again.  Got a little album in mind with lots of guitar loops and lots of lyrics crammed into 2 minute and under songs.  Tentative album title is Jacuzzi Juice.  Alternate tentative title is Austin, The Man, Not the City.  Here is one of the tiny tracks I recorded Sunday afternoon and a comic inspired by the tiny track!

Lobster Bird

Lobster Bird

This is a turtled lobster bird.  It’s a very sad combination of things that came to me while staring at a wall.  If you want to know, this is how most of my ideas come to me, staring at walls.

Bliizzard

Bliizzard

I’ve developed a new system for numbering severe winter storms.  It is very logical and looks pretty awesome.  Going out on a limb here and pre-calling tonight’s snow the second winter’s blizzard. With my system you can give every storm the non-anonymous respect it deserves.  I hope there is The Bliiizzard later this winter.

Hard To… Open Stuff

Hard To… Open Stuff

There are things in this world made by nature and made by humans that are not suitable for humans.  This is a look at the things that are hard to open.

Stuff Kids Can’t Open:

1. Jam. Jam is tough.  It confuses the would-be opener with its stickiness and promising aroma.  Adults can typically use logic to get around these distractions.

2. Eggs. Anyone can open eggs, it’s just the usability afterwards that matters.  This is where kids fail with eggs.

3. Gym Membership. No gym that’s worth going to is going to let a kid get a membership, so be sure to ask the gym if they’d let a kid off the street sign up for one before you do.

-

Stuff Both Adults and Kids Can’t Open:

4. Milk Cartons. Waxy paper paired often with a dire need for its contents makes the carton a hard thing for anyone.

5. Medicine Bottles. No complaining here because this is an important one.  I’d rather everybody die than have kids be able to open my medicine bottles better than me.

6. Green Banana. We know this is the best time to eat one, but the bananas know this too, and won’t give up the chalky goodness easily, for anyone.

-

Stuff Adults Can’t Open:

7. Kid’s Piggy Bank. Adults can, it is however not advised, especially if it’s a kid you have some responsibility to.  Loose-moraled kids will later break your piggy bank for concert or school supply money.

8. New Technological Device. I’m not saying adults can’t do computers, I’m saying they can’t do computers that were released after the year they got a real job.

9. Hot Dog Buns. They make these things for people with dagger fingers or adults with kid-sized hands.  Kids can’t even keep them clamshelled, but at least they can get their dog in there.

Guy Stuff: Things To Do To Wood

Guy Stuff: Things to do to wood

You may’ve noticed that since moving to the city, I’ve missed manual labor and dudely work doubly.  When I was home for the holiday weekend, I got a whole lot of guy stuff out of my system, including chopping wood, lighting it on fire and sawing it in half.  I also ripped off the paper still connected to a few dozen wire hangers but that doesn’t qualify.

Hair Evolution. (Actual)

Hair Evolution. (Actual)

I got a haircut last week and wanted to share that information but every way I tried to it came out pretty lousy and mostly who-caresy. I’ve had many haircuts. Not as many as I should have, and only 3 professional, but that didn’t stop them from defining my body’s image of itself.  This is a retrospective of all the major changes.  The ! denotes a part side change - this was a big deal for I had, finally, fallen in line with the rest of the Eustice’s part preference. The top right haircut is one I had my mom do after seeing the 1996 Mission Impossible starring Tom Cruise. Proud to see there was never a middle-part but embarrassed by the general bodyhair-confusion that overtook me late in college.

Stop A Thing - PSH

Stop A Thing - PSH

Everyone, I make music under the moniker Prescription Strength Hugs. I have never thought to share any of that on the blog until now which is precisely why you’re getting this and an illustration about something in the song!
