Bliizzard
I’ve developed a new system for numbering severe winter storms. It is very logical and looks pretty awesome. Going out on a limb here and pre-calling tonight’s snow the second winter’s blizzard. With my system you can give every storm the non-anonymous respect it deserves. I hope there is The Bliiizzard later this winter.
Really enjoyed the first issue of All-New Wolverine in which Laura Kinney (X-23) takes up the mantle of Wolverine. She was a fun addition to the original crew in All-New X-Men, bringing 'oh so tough' I've been missing with no Logan. Hope it keeps up! Felt like drawing her gearing up into that classic uni.

Here is a preview of some of the print goods I'll be selling this weekend at The Brooklyn Renegade Craft Fair 2013! I'm partnering up with Patrick Hosmer to bring you posters, patches, baseball scorecards, comics, greeting cards and more! Come on by and chat or get some sweet stuff this weekend June 22nd & 23rd! We've got booth #224 at the setup at East River State Park in Williamsburg. We're open 11am - 7pm both days this weekend and it's going to be great!
Man, Seattle is a super great city. We went to Pike’s Public Market and got some excellent sweet and savory pastries and of course saw some fish get ceremonially tossed. Then we biked to see the Space Needle and neighboring architectural interests. After plenty of biking in the rain, we ended the day with a viewing of the strangest movie I have ever seen at a great cinema that prides itself on cult rarities and good beer. If you’ve any interest in bizarre, psychedelic Japanese horror movies of the late 70s, see House (1979) pronto. More soon.

Working on a wedding invitation for best buds. Maybe 30 or so more like this - but not just fish, it’s not a fish wedding, my buds are people. This is a brook trout though.
Got a new segment coming in which I illustrate Legends Of Rock (and most likely other genres). Hope you like.
Bird 2: Rock Pigeon
The indefatigable Rock Dove a.k.a Rock Pigeon a.k.a “Pigeon” a.k.a a lot of awful names. The quintessential New York City bird is up for today’s small part of the large Birds Of Brooklyn poster set I’m working on. I hope you’ll keep tagging along as I uncover more of the avian element of where I and so many nature lovers call home (even though we should be living somewhere a lot more natural if we’re honest with ourselves). Thank goodness for Prospect Park.
FEBRUARY - Lord Akira.
Continuing the 2015 calendar I'm making of comic book characters my girlfriend admires. All building designs taken from the insanely talented Katsuhiro Otomo. It was nearly impossible to follow his level of detail and organization of thousands of lines. To counteract the pain I felt rendering those buildings, I went a bit looser on Akira. Tried some screentone, ended up not applying it heavily enough, but was pretty pleased with the final result. You can track the months here.
