I feel like I'm going insane. Multiple massacres in Gaza right now and no one is paying attention.
Hi all, Chanukah is a week away and we are completely broke. We have to pay the energy bill, wifi bill ($35), renew my phone plan (~$100 for 3 months), and I'd really love to afford groceries!
If you can spare anything and help us have a chanukah full of joy and free of worry, please send to:

An human rights worker named Reina Mae Nasino was jailed and wrongfully accused for owning firearms. She was pregnant by the time she was jailed and gave birth in prison.
At this point, Reina Mae Nasino wasnāt given proper care in prison and was only given one medical visit. Reina gave birth to a girl named River but the lack of prenatal care caused the child to have a low weight and skin discoloration. Nasino also had difficulty breastfeeding her and wasnāt getting any assistance for her child. The counsels asked for the baby to be transferred to a hospital for her care but it was denied by the court.
On October 9, River died due to acute respiratory distress syndrome. She was only 3 months old.
Reina Mae Nasino was supposed to have 3 days to say goodbye but the Court Judge revised it and made it 6 hours, 3 hours for the wake and 3 hours for the funeral. She wasnāt allowed a peaceful grieving as dozens of police and jail guards swarmed the area. On October 14, Reina Mae attended Riverās wake in full PPE and handcuffs, surrounded by guards because she was labelled a high profile criminal. The guards tried to cut her time with her child short as they tried to drag her away 2 hours before the visiting time was up. She was also not allowed to take off her handcuffs.
October 16, the day River was to be buried. The funeral wasnāt peaceful or respectful as the police swarmed and guarded the area. The car carrying River sped to the cemetery, not giving time for her family and supporters to catch up. The relatives begged on their knees for the guards to remove Reinaās handcuffs so she can hold her child one last time but they refused.
She wasnāt allowed a peaceful goodbye to her child.
She never even heard her child laugh once.
Reina Mae Nasino is not a criminal. She is a political prisoner and an activist who was treated terribly by the police and the justice system.
They killed her child.
There are over 600+ political prisoners like her in the Philippines that are subject to inhumane treatment due to the Duterte Administration and its disregard for the poor and disenfranchised. Baby River is not the only child who died due to the lack of care by the government.
Activists in the Philippines are getting killed, red tagged and treated as terrorists.
Do not ignore this. We need to be heard.

āOn behalf of all cancer patients itās very annoying when hospitals are full of people dying of preventable diseasesā
āāno Technoblade you donāt need to worry about making videos please rest!ā nah this isnāt about you broā
āat the very least the speedrun music has stopped playingā
I hate Technoblade man how dare he be so effortlessly funny when talking about his cancer I feel like a terrible person for laughing
friendly reminder that just cuz people do in-depthĀ analyses of characters you like you can enjoy them however you want
.
got a headcanon for c!dream that redeems him? go wild, the worldās your oyster
think c!schlatt is pure evil and has no backstory or isnāt misunderstood? thatās how it be, heās an evil ram man
think c!schlatt is a misunderstood good guy? good for you, heās a very nice man with an evil laugh i guess and we stan
think c!philza is a shit dad and person? he fuckin is i guess, you are literally so smart i love you /gen, /p
think c!philza is a broken man who tried to protect his family in his own way? youāre so right and thatās so sexy of you
youāre a c![insert name here] apologist? you are very valid and iām happy to hear all your thoughts /gen
.
whatever way you find these characters enjoyable just⦠enjoy them that way. iām mainly saying this cuz i see a lot of people being likeĀ āif you think c!phil is a bad person youāre so stupidā orĀ āif you think c!dream can be redeemed you are the worstā like⦠if something isnāt stated outright in canon, let people have their headcanons and interpretations
same goes with victimizing people just cuz they enjoy a problematic character, iāve seen a lot of people go after c!dream fans just because c!dream is a bad person and hurt tommy as much as he did⦠yāall itās fiction. people can enjoy bad people in fiction. why do you think villains are always so loved.
this is a minecraft roleplay yāall. we donāt have to get so in-depth.
.
on the other hand if you love making in-depth analyses of the characters and having very serious detailed opinions? GO BUCK WILD! DO THAT SHIT! everything is valid bro!!! just enjoy yourself! as long as youāre not invalidating other peopleās headcanons and ways of enjoying themselves, do your thing bro!!!
and of course as long as you donāt harass the actual CCs behind the characters and donāt do anything that makes them uncomfortable or something they said theyāre not okay with
.
there thatās my psa thank you
even if you only reblog, thatās enough

i was debating on whether or not i should post this on tumblr but seeing as there havenāt been posts about this yet, here it is. iām exposing my real location and nationality but it doesnāt matter.
if you have been active on twitter, you may already know #savemyanmar is trending. long story short, there has been a military coup. several nations have released statements but i want to share insight on whatās happening in the country.
memes about a coup have been circulating around for a couple days and when i slept at 2 am last night, we were still under the rule of the National League for Democracy (NLD). while they are not technically democratic, they are the closest weāve got. when my mother woke up at 6 this morning, she was notified that the country was now under the rule of the military.
banks services are no longer available. wifi was cut at around 7-8. some people got wifi again earlier but many got it barely thirty minutes ago. this is bad for businesses especially ones that require international communications. additionally, international students like myself are experiencing anxiety; how do we pay for and attend classes if weāre not sure wifi is a given?
myanmar has a long, complicated history with military governments. the last time the military went into rule was in 1962 and only stopped in 2011, following the 2010 elections. there was a huge protest in 1988 lead by students that resulted in lots of death. during the military junta, resources like rice, water, oil, were scarce. the gist is military rule is bad for us.
all of my followers are not myanmar citizens, iām sure but as part of the international community, please help us. here is a petition that you can sign (although iām not sure if that can do much). there may be protests in front of myanmar embassies so look out for those. most of all, please help spread awareness.Ā
the people here are coping with dark humor, primarily in the form of memes but we donāt know how long this rule will last, even though the official statement said only a year. hereās something that pretty much sums up our coping mechanism:
