Do Not Ignore What Is Going On In The Philippines.

Do not ignore what is going on in the Philippines.

Do Not Ignore What Is Going On In The Philippines.

An human rights worker named Reina Mae Nasino was jailed and wrongfully accused for owning firearms. She was pregnant by the time she was jailed and gave birth in prison.

At this point, Reina Mae Nasino wasn’t given proper care in prison and was only given one medical visit. Reina gave birth to a girl named River but the lack of prenatal care caused the child to have a low weight and skin discoloration. Nasino also had difficulty breastfeeding her and wasn’t getting any assistance for her child. The counsels asked for the baby to be transferred to a hospital for her care but it was denied by the court.

On October 9, River died due to acute respiratory distress syndrome. She was only 3 months old.

Reina Mae Nasino was supposed to have 3 days to say goodbye but the Court Judge revised it and made it 6 hours, 3 hours for the wake and 3 hours for the funeral. She wasn’t allowed a peaceful grieving as dozens of police and jail guards swarmed the area. On October 14, Reina Mae attended River’s wake in full PPE and handcuffs, surrounded by guards because she was labelled a high profile criminal. The guards tried to cut her time with her child short as they tried to drag her away 2 hours before the visiting time was up. She was also not allowed to take off her handcuffs.

Do Not Ignore What Is Going On In The Philippines.

October 16, the day River was to be buried. The funeral wasn’t peaceful or respectful as the police swarmed and guarded the area. The car carrying River sped to the cemetery, not giving time for her family and supporters to catch up. The relatives begged on their knees for the guards to remove Reina’s handcuffs so she can hold her child one last time but they refused.

Do Not Ignore What Is Going On In The Philippines.

She wasn’t allowed a peaceful goodbye to her child.

She never even heard her child laugh once.

Reina Mae Nasino is not a criminal. She is a political prisoner and an activist who was treated terribly by the police and the justice system.

They killed her child.

Do Not Ignore What Is Going On In The Philippines.

There are over 600+ political prisoners like her in the Philippines that are subject to inhumane treatment due to the Duterte Administration and its disregard for the poor and disenfranchised. Baby River is not the only child who died due to the lack of care by the government.

Activists in the Philippines are getting killed, red tagged and treated as terrorists.

Do not ignore this. We need to be heard.

Reading Hilda Furacão, the novel (I'll post my general impressions here once I'm done), and confirming an impression I had about the show and the general opinion of those who watched it, particularly non-Brazilians who are not used to our way of doing telenovelas. Basically, the consensus (?) that the story should focus more on Hilda and Malthus and even ignore some of the other storylines is based on a misconception surrounding what the story is actually about. Drummond's novel, as well as Perez's screenplays, is not about a forbidden romance, though the romance is part of the story, but a chronicle of a city - maybe even a whole state - during a certain period of time. The title is Hilda Furacão because her character is central to that city and that time, she kind of embodies the zeitgeist if you will, but she's not exactly a protagonist, but simply another player in an immense group of people that embody a clash of ideologies, a certain sense of religiousness, an obliviousness to what's to come. In that sense, she and Malthus are, in the end, as important as Roberto or Dorinha or Loló Ventura or even fucking Tunico Mendes, and it makes sense for the plot to not focus so much on them. Of course, whether you like it or not is another matter entirely, but this is not a bug, it's a feature.

I feel like I'm going insane. Multiple massacres in Gaza right now and no one is paying attention.

I currently have 700+ followers. And I will urge all of you to read about what is happening in Bangladesh. What has happened in Bangladesh. I am adding irrelevant tags of the fandoms I follow to garner more attention. I apologize in advance.

The government of Bangladesh killed pressumably 950+ people, innocent people, students, all because they demanded a system that will give them government jobs based on merit rather than quota. To suppress the students Sheikh Hasina and its government imposed 5 days of total internet blackout. While imposing this blackout they killed off anyone of the streets. They killed people from helicopters by shooting and throwing grenades. Many kids died in their own homes as the bullet shot them through their window.

Sheikh Hasina and its police took away all the dead bodies and the death registries from the hospital. The official death toll is 200. But various journalistic and medical staff sources confirm the death toll is over 950 in Dhaka alone.

That monster of a PM didn't acknowledge the death of the students. Instead she is crying over the infrastructure vandalism. I request you, rise up and speak out about this. Educate yourself and let other people know. The internet blackout have suppressed the truth at large. The Bangladeshi people are in deep surveillance and the government have made 2000+ arrests on false charges just because they have shared the Information. There is mass fear mongering. I know most of you people are not Bangladeshis and that's why you need to help us and speak up about it. Join your local protests, share the news in your social media, twitter Instagram. I beg you, don't let my people's murderers get away with it. Don't let my people's death be forgotten.

I am attaching some links for you to understand the horror of it all.

This Facebook page Bringing justice to you has documented all the horrors and the massacres that happened on Bangladeshi people. TW : all kinds of blood, gore, death bodies, every single horrible things imaginable but shows what went down.

Al-Jazeera has been a very credible news source while the Bangladesh was under blackout. They have made several segments. I am attaching the latest one.

UN Human Rights have called out Bangladesh for explanation regarding the crackdown

Amnesty International's report of Bangladesh government using lethal weapon against its people and mass murder

Unlawful use of lethal & less-lethal weapons against protesters in Bangladesh
Amnesty International
Amnesty International urges the Government of Bangladesh and its agencies to respect the right to protest and end this violent crackdown.

There are many more contents, proof and videos to show you the horrors that was unfolded in the crackdown. Sheikh Hasina killed her people like insects and violated every single human rights imaginable. Please share these. Support us. Help us. I beg you all.

Urgent Please Read

My father has passed away from Covid-19 yesterday morning. As much as I want time to grieve him; me, my mother, and little brother are in urgent need of money. We had been funded by his SSA checks each month, & now have to contact SS of his death.

Because of this, we will have almost no funding until we are approved for Survivors Benefits. I am currently working but because my father died from Covid, I must remain in quarantine until I can continue. We urgently need to pay $1000 in rent & utilities by August 5th.

Luckily, once I return to work I can handle paying for the other misc. bills. Until then, we need funding however we can.

Ways you can help fund us:

Cashapp: https://t.co/Z35i0r7RiR

Venmo: https://t.co/mkfGZi2Ima

GPay: https://t.co/xGX7C9bOK2

Thank you all who took time to read and help us in this time.

STOP pronoun discourse over eret. fucking STOP. they have said on stream they do not care if you use one set or all and they started using any pronouns partly so they WOULDN’T have their fandom argue over their pronouns. fucking STOP getting mad at fans for only using they/them or switching pronouns every sentence. eret does not care.

this isn’t about you. this isn’t about what makes you comfortable. this is about eret. and eret doesn’t care.
