That's so true. The Wolfram we see is like that because he is a guy. If he was a girl then I can't see why he would be allowed to even tag along Yuuri's adventures. I don't see how he would have a stamina of a soldier. I don't see how he would be comfortable with the travels while dressed in gowns. I don't even see him setting his foot out of the castle cause I'm pretty sure that if Celi had Wolf as a girl she would've made her follow her foot steps. So I cannot imagine YuuRam happening with Wolf being a girl cause it's plain wrong. Because we would be essentially removing the core of what makes Wolfram Wolfram. And the whole point of his presence as Yuuri's best friend and trusted companion whom he can count on.

English version of Kyou Kara Maou

Here, let me translate Kyou Kara Maou to English since apparently it’s so difficult to understand:

A guy travels to another world gets engaged to a former princess. The moment he sees her, he’s completely taken by her appearance. When they have to fight he tries to make her panties drop to win the match. He spends his inner monologues continuously talking about her eyes and beautiful skin and features. How she’s an angel. A wet angel when she jumps into water. He calls her cute. He loves how straightforward she is, how she always tells him the truth. He holds her hand while trapped in a cramped area. He tells her: Wait, wait! You don’t wanna have sex with a sweaty guy and gets in the shower, when she throws herself at him. THEY START SLEEPING TOGETHER. No explanation , just boom, princess decides to sleep with the guy. You start reading about it 3 months after the guy decides to not lock his door and let the princess sleep with him every night. Guy adopts a child, child calls princess mommy. Child is not allowed to sleep with her parents. Princess saves guy’s ass continuously. Guy curves all other girls (and guys, but who cares about that, right?). He takes princess out on adventures, where they always sleep together. Other people also comment, oh I see you sleep together on trips, too? Princess almost dies, causing guy to react in a way he never has before, even though many characters have ‘died’ around him before. The trauma hunts guy forever. When he accidentally hurts her, he feels like literal shit. And crawls around princess trying to cure her, asking her if she hates him. Princess replies of course not, I came to the ends of the world for you. Guys friend dies, he gets into a fight with best friend and is exhausted, finally begging to get in bed with princess, saying to her: I’m so glad I have you. I don’t have the strength to pretend anymore. Cut to black. Guy and princess fight like a married couple. Guy asks princess if she wants a divorce. Guy tells princess he’ll give her anything she wants. Guy, writes 26 things he likes the most about princess in front of her while she does the same. Guy asks princess if she’d cry if he wasn’t there.

Now let me ask you…. do you still need the guy to confess his love for the girl? Do you wonder if the guy likes the princess? 

Okay, well in the Japanese version the princess is a prince.

If I had to say, I suppose the legs on the overly ornate table could kind of look like his.

Lord von Bielefeld Wolfram nodded with his blonde hair shining amber in the light of the torch he was holding too close. Greta’s lips press together as she grasps Wolfram’s arm. Gwendal slowly bent his knees and spoke to Greta in a low voice so he wouldn’t be heard by his subordinates who were watching from afar.

“What happened?”

“It’s impossible for a child to explain,” Wolfram said with a despondent expression as he swung the now useless torch around with pointless movements.

“Then who else should I ask?”

“But, for a child-”

“I can tell you,” Greta says decisively, cutting Wolfram off.

Novel 5. ch.2

- Don’t act like me-

“So there’s a possibility that he survived?” Gwendal was surprised at the uncharacteristically deep voice that finally came out of Wolfram’s mouth. It was almost like…(…)

“… It’s Lord Weller’s.” “Which means that’s Conrart’s arm?” Again, his voice was quiet and cool. Noticing that his older brother was giving him a strange look, Wolfram raised his eyebrows and asked, “Brother?” “Don’t act like me.” (…)

After remaining silent for a few breaths, Wolfram began to scream as if a dam had broken. He repeated the names of his most beloved king and his second-oldest brother that he was supposed to have hated, and he cursed the unknown enemy. Without being able to look anyone in the face, he kicked at the walls and candelabras with all his strength. That’s good. At least you should remain emotional. If not, then if in the unlikely event that we lost ‘him,’ then the citizens, the castle, and the country will not withstand it.

Even though a lady was walking next to him, Wolfram did not even slow his pace. It was for reasons like this that he never quite ended up the object of anyone’s romantic affections. Gisela herself was not looking to be treated as a woman, so in the end they ended up walking shoulder to shoulder at a brisk military pace.(…)

“Do you want money? I can’t meet you unless I have a donation!? If so, I’ve brought some. Name your price!”(…)

“So what’s it going to be, Oracle Priestess? Are you still not going to take responsibility!? Then I’ll to break down this door here and now! But who knows what will happen if I use magic right here in the Temple of Shinou!”

When the verbal abuse stopped for a moment, Gisela pushed aside Wolfram, who was breathing so hard his shoulders were moving with each breath, and called out in a kind voice.(…)

“What was that?” asked Wolfram.

“… I don’t know. It was abnormally strong and unstable… and atrocious. It was erratic… maybe-”

“It’s Yuuri!” (…)

Since this had happened to me several times before, I realized that my head was in someone’s lap even before I opened my eyes. But Wolfram isn’t with me and Murata would be a little bonier and harder. What is this superb elasticity?

I realised it as well way back when I just got into the fandom. It was a beautiful realisation. No matter how trivial it may be anything related to YuuRam is worth knowing.

Trivial Random Thought

So I was coloring my recent art and I realized while coloring that Yuuri’s favorite color is blue and you know…. who in Shinma has a blue uniform as standard outfit…. it’s Wolf XD! 

Did you facepalm, I am sure you did : P. This is really something unimportant I realized which is important to me as a Yuuram fan ;).

Episode 21 of Fruits Basket 2019 season 2

What can I say? I have no words. It was so heart wrenching, yet it held that spark of hope... It was just like Yuki's kindness- like a Candle.

We also get the insight to Akito's past. I loved that sweet scene where Shigure was comforting Akito. It was just so loving.

Yuki has always been trying to move forward and open up. To see him do that latently gives me the courage (yuki, if you get me) to follow him. I'm glad to see him move forward, and slowly but steadily open that lid.

In here, Akito says "My Yuki", I get this feeling of double meaning (as Yuki can be both the person or 'courage') and so it makes that line even more powerful. It makes me want to unravel more of their past and the mystery that lingers around Sohmas.

In all, this has now become my favourite Fruits Basket episode ever. Let's wait and see if it can be replaced in the future.

Just to add, Wolfram behaves more impulsively because of Cecilie's shampoo, and all the events that happened after it. So, Wolfram wouldn't really have done all that if not for his heightened emotions and his disdain for "the new maou" that came up suddenly. I feel like people tend to forget that part and label Wolfram as impulsive, when clearly he is not. He is just your cute haughty Wagamama Puu- "A yapping Pomeranian" in Yuuri's words. And we see his character development as well, and a lot at that, while he also keeps this cute to a fault side going.

Wolfram is a precious little one, and I'll always defend him.

How the Royal Couple came to be-

Since I really didn't have anything to share yet (cause my fic is making me sweat buckets) so I thought I could share this awesome part of how our Royal Couple were engaged. It is so amazingly written that every line makes me laugh and hold a different emotion.

You feel it more once you thoroughly know all the novel characters, or have travelled with them through some part of the 17 volume long adventure. It is a wonderful and tender feeling, when you know how they'd grow from this point on. And develop because of a misunderstanding of all things!All you need is a quick read of chapter 4 of volume 1 and you find so much.

Conrart's years of wait and his mission when he assures Wolfram that he can never mistake Yuuri.

Gwendal's years of dedication and calm care when he accepts Yuuri but had increased frown lines when he concluded that Yuuri didn't want to be a Maou- knowing him it was probably his way of taking care of him, probably indirectly saying "You don't need to burden yourself with something you don't want to do".

We also see Wolfram's judgement, as even though he was annoyed but he had his reasons because he didn't want to witness this country go through another war. All he wanted was a ruler who loved this country and he'd serve him gladly. Thankfully he did get one.

We see the forshadowing of Julia's soul when Yuuri mentions he can always know when Conrart is smiling.

We see a Günter in the initial stage of becoming Heika fanatic and spilling juices all around.

We see Cecilie's love for her children, and her husbands. Their unique but endearing mother-son bond.

We see the acceptance of homosexuality as another form of love. Because, love is free to pursue!- in Lady Cheri's words.

We also witness Shin Makoku's culture, it's delicacies and know how different it is just as much as it is similar. (Admit it, we are all secretly glad for Yuuri's clumsiness- and him not wanting to punch the beautiful face🤣)

All of this woven humorously, just like how Takabayashi-sensei does. And, I realise, yet again, just how much this novel means to me.

The golden moment from when Yuuri was called henachoko!! Most-henachoko-King-in-history and haughty-whatever-sama-Royal-Highness!!

Because yuuram is life, I will make a megapost that will include every yuuram moment in every novel and extra story we have available in English so far. 

I’ll make a post per novel and then make the megapost that will link to them when I have them all. They’ll be long but who doesn’t need a reminder of these wonderful moments in their lives?

Novel 1. ch.3 -The first time Yuuri sees Wolfram-

I don’t want to see him in his underwear, but he has a figure that looks like it’d come off easily during the match. If that happens then the match is mine. You’re immediately defeated if it falls off. There is a rule for that.

(..) From the start I take a low position, and with a quick forward movement I struck Wolfram’s waist while he was unprepared for a lunge. Instead of a loin cloth I took hold of his belt. It was an instant victory.

“That man, he betrayed us… He’ll try, to bring you, into his group, too.”

“Wolfram, if it hurts then don’t talk.”

“From the looks of it, they’re not planning on killing you. It’ll be troublesome if you get hurt trying to resist. Go with Adelbert for now.”

“But, you and everyone…”

“Don’t worry about us.”

I take in his words. If I leave them behind, what will happen to them?

Wolfram whispers briefly again.

“Hurry and go, Yuuri!”

“No, I’ll shout, I’m allowed to shout! I’ll be Japanese until I’m twenty, even if I have the soul of the maou, I’ll be Japanese until I come of age. I oppose war, completely oppose, I’ll oppose it my whole life, even if in death I’ll oppose it!”

“All right, settle down.”

When he says all that in unnaturally fast speech, Wolfram half-runs away.

The present fastened to the left side of my chest is a gold bird with both wings spread. Conrad smugly gazes after his little brother’s back.

“It seems Wolfram has taken a liking to Your Majesty.”

“Eeeeeh?! That Haughty-Whatever-Sama Royal Highness!?”

OreSuki is awesome!!

"Ore wo suki nano wa omae dake ka yo?" or "Are you the only one who likes me?" is probably one of the best RomCom animes that I have come across till date!

The main character Joro is just too amazing! His reactions are hilarious!! And his real self is seriously amazing!

Really Daiki Yamashita did an amazing job with the voice acting!! Made me fall more in love with the anime and Amatsuyu (Joro)!! It was really unexpected of him for me because Joro's character is very different from how Midoriya or Iride is! I was surprised yet thrilled!!

I would seriously recommend this anime to people!! I wanna read the Light Novel too but I don't get the translated version😭😭
