Apart from filming that draft post, I'd say today was mediocre; I had bad cramps. By the way, I don't see my fellow girl bloggers mentioning period topics. Perhaps I'll take this as an opportunity to write about periods! It's not a taboo topic, and while I understand that girl blog spaces are welcoming and gender-neutral, I think discussing it and giving tips would be quite beneficial to those of us that menstruate in the community :D.

Reached a pivotal moment in House MD, and I just keep falling in love with his character, dawg. I love antiheroes; I love empathizing with characters you're not supposed to show care for. Ugh, new comfort show!

1: i aspire to be that girl with her rats. 😭❤️‍🩹 Me whennnnnn? I love rats; I had a baby fever equivalent for rats, especially rex rats. 🥹💓 I can't wait to be grown up and get grown up money to have my own 2-3 cuties 😭😭😭😭. Great, now I'm falling in love again.

2:No, because I'm starting to think I'm too in love with the act of drawing myself that I over-romanticize my appearance. Even though I'm satisfied with my current looks, I do acknowledge I tend to do too much in my drawings. 😭

3:Old haul that reminded me to finish the book - Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert. It's kind of a 'you snooze, you lose' book... As in, if you push through the first 20 pages, that's when it really starts. Is that a good analogy?

Otherwise, nothing much today; I drew a lot, reminisced about childhood and my mom's love, and I'm halfway done with the painting I showed a day before. I did more writing for a proposal for my passion project; hopefully, I'll share it soon with you guys. ☺️

Sunday Musings - 020225

This morning, I decided that my usual sunny-side-up simply wouldn’t do. Sundays deserve something a little more indulgent, a little more special—so I let my egg transform into golden, cinnamon-kissed French toast. A small luxury, but a luxury nonetheless.

The rest of the day? A delicate balance between leisure and productivity. Too Hot to Handle had me in a vice grip (no regrets, I love that game), but I still managed to weave in moments of purpose—gathering ideas for my alter ego’s literary journey, tending to the house, and looking after my little cousin. Life, in its quiet rhythms.

And then, there was Animal Farm. A book I’ve picked up twice before, but never quite seen the way I do now. It’s fascinating how stories shift when read through older eyes—how words once skimmed over now demand to be felt. Perhaps this time, I’ll listen.

Today was a 6/10. Not extraordinary, not mundane—just a day, simply lived. Could I have done more? Maybe. But sometimes, being present in even the smallest moments is enough :)

The first one is a self portrait for the prompt escape which was for my Year 11 art finals, I got a B 😄 (they snubbed me 😒, but I didn't have the best art teachers, so I'm self-taught. I felt overwhelmed when I piled the components; I did everything by myself, so I don't mind, and I'm proud of my grade)

Update: I went to the casting but I don't think I got in. They made us walk and nothing more, no chitchat, just writ your name age and contacts, walk in front of the panel, then give the paper with the details and leave.

Well, unless you were given back the paper with a tick added to it, and then you're measured and taken pictures of Infront of everyone — and as you've probably guessed by now, I wasn't part of the latter 😬.

I'll just send pics to agencies via dms, emails, and website applications.

Guys the CRAZIEST thing happened to me today... I PAINTED😨😱

I know you're like, huh??. But like I really dislike using color or paint to do faces, I've been forever loyal to pencil and charcoal. Ive only use acrylic to paint 3 abstract pieces which is impressive considering I also dislike abstract works but I had to force myself to get rid of the impostor syndrome 😍.

Anyway so I made myself countdown from 5, so that I could immediately get out of bed and do something. I was thinking of painting but then I was like ehhh, but then I told myself 'NAH IN 5 SECS YOU GET TF UP!!!' so I did.

The butterfly effect is real, coz what if I didn't get up to paint...then I would've never found out that I am ridiculously good at painting for someone who hasn't EVER painted portraits before, and has only been obsessing over old art masters.

I can't believe that this is the FIRST go, and I'm just that good at it, despite THE FACT THAT I NEVER PRACTICED painting 😭

I'd stay FAR away from even ATTEMPTING to go thru trail and error with paints 😭. But youre telling me I'm just a pro like that 👏even if all I do is use pencil and look at my black n white portraits...

It’s All About Perspective:

Sometimes, all it takes is a quarter turn.

That dried paint blob: smeared, ugly, accidental — can become a dancing figure with big shoes, a biker, an abstract expression, if you just tilt it. And what if your life is the same? What if you’re not broken, lazy, or lost, but simply looking at your own story from the wrong side?

We’ve all been there. Hair greasy, phone hot from hours of scrolling, a million open tabs and zero opened dreams. You’re rotting in bed, flicking from one TikTok to another, laughing, then crying, then dissociating, watching other people live out the things you swore you’d do. It’s addicting. Comfortable. Even aesthetic. "Girl rot" became a moodboard, for Christ's sake but no one tells you that staying there too long leaves you hollow.

But here’s the truth, my dear angels: you’re not the paint blob. You’re the hand turning the page. You decide the angle.

So how do you shift perspective when everything feels heavy? When life is a loop of doomscrolls, late-night existential spirals, and the occasional burst of fake motivation?

You start slow. You start small. You turn the page.
