ARGUS, The Many-eyed Demi-god, Is A Psychic-type Mystical Fighter Who Specializes In Paralyzing Her Opponents

ARGUS, the many-eyed demi-god, is a psychic-type mystical fighter who specializes in paralyzing her opponents with her gaze and holding them in crippling mental pain. Nearly impossible to sneak up on, she maintains a vigilant defense against physical attacks with evasive hovering, as any contact with her eye-covered body can do serious damage. The large eye on her forehead, when opened, casts a heavily destructive wide beam of light, but it forces all of Argus's other eyes closed and leaves her vulnerable for the duration. An orbiting shroud covers the eye until she needs its power. Fighters that want to take on Argus should employ blinding techniques: bright flashes of light, obstructive smoke, or sprays of ink. While impervious to attacks of willpower, physical attacks can bring Argus down easily if fighters manage to blind all of her eyes.

Okay, now come up from that deep dark pool of nerdiness...this is Argus, my submission to Jenn Woodall's latest anthology zine, FIGHT! Round 1! It features many talented illustrators the likes of Kali Ciesemier, Sam Bosma, Jimmy Giegerich, Valentin Seiche + more, and it's gonna be rad as hell.

Damn Fine Coffee! A Twin Peaks fan zine - Kickstarter!

Damn Fine Coffee! A Twin Peaks Fan Zine - Kickstarter!

Hey all! My Twin Peaks-themed anthology zine "Damn Fine Coffee!" just launched its funding project on Kickstarter! This is your chance to place pre-orders on the zine and also to snatch up screen prints, original drawings, AND paintings of Twin Peaks characters. If you're excited about the book, I hope you can contribute and help make it happen, or just take a minute to spread the word! Every little bit helps and I'm super thankful for whatever you can do or give. Seriously.

You can read more about the zine and see a few fantastic pieces by some of its fantastic contributors here.

Visit the Kickstarter project and claim a copy of the zine (which has free shipping for a limited time!) right here!

After all, in the words of Agent Cooper himself:

"Tales From Aeaea" Is A 28-page Collection Of Stories About The Various Citizens Of Aeaea, The Isle Of
"Tales From Aeaea" Is A 28-page Collection Of Stories About The Various Citizens Of Aeaea, The Isle Of

"Tales from Aeaea" is a 28-page collection of stories about the various citizens of Aeaea, the isle of Circe, goddess of magic. Centuries ago, Aeaea, the isle to which Circe was exiled, was a place imbued with her magic, and docile lions and bears roamed its woods. "Tales from Aeaea" is set in a universe in which Circe was celebrated, rather than scorned, and she embraced her exile, making the isle flourish. Its citizens are students of magic, world-spanning sailors, and many are descendants of the isle's enchanted animals of old.

Here's a sneak peak of a couple pages from Saturn and Egon's story (who you might remember from my previous zine, "Warlow's Guide to Wizards, Sorceri and Familiars Arcane", a sort-of prequel).

"Tales from Aeaea" will premier at the Small Press Expo, September 13 & 14. Come see me there, and stay tuned for more updates!

New Illustration For The New York Times Letters Section. This One's About Reigning In Health Care Costs

New illustration for the New York Times Letters section. This one's about reigning in health care costs by taking away numerous, sometimes needless testing rather than rationing who gets what care. You can read the article here. Art direction by Alexandra Zsigmond.
