Hi! I was looking through your blogspot and I saw your post on your brother getting you Tintin matches from China? I was wondering where he got them because I'm a huge Tintin fan and I live in China and I want to have them too lol. sorry if this was a little creepy
Hi! Yes. these guys:
I had to ask him and then wait around 13 hrs because he's in Taiwan now! Here's what he said:
"It's somewhere in/near Beihai (3rd tone) park in Beijing but I don't remember exactly where. It's down one of the many backstreets and if you see a store that looks like the only product it sells are old coke bottles (seriously, it just had bunch of pictures of old coke bottles in the windows), then you are close."
I don't know what "3rd tone" refers to, but maybe you do! Good luck!
What are you thinking about, Log Lady?
So there you go. What'd I tell ya? (She'll be B&W in the zine, but I can never resist color on my own time.) This one's for you, cacophonyofcolour.
Wicked Lady for Jenn Woodall's Moon Power zine. Always liked this bitter angsty babe.

Not only is Andrea Kalfas an amazing artist, but she’s my best buddy, all-around lovely lady, AND IT’S HER BIRTHDAY TODAY! THIS IS FOR HER! I wanted to pay her back for her bootylicious gift to me, and I’m sure you can guess what we’ve been watching a lot of, lately. Happy Birthday girl! Thank you for protecting us all with your powers of love and justice and badassery!!!!
Jimmy & I had such an amazing time at SPX, we're a little sad that it's over! We met so many great folks! (I feel foolish that this + a picture of a leaf shaped like an "H" are the only photos I took)
I did this piece for an article in the New York Times about how a survivor of domestic abuse is drawn to listening to true crime podcasts. You can read the article online here.
Portrait study: Rosemary Woodhouse.
First face in a horror movie heroine series I'm working on in my "spare" time.
If you play today’s ultra-sweet Google Doodle Global Candy Cup, you can see my illustrations when you beat the game with the witch of your choice! I created the share images that you can post on Facebook or Twitter. You can also read about the personalities and quirks of each character here!
It was a lot of fun to work with their adorable character designs and to have a chance to flex my hand-lettering muscles. The game was designed by Sophie Diao, who also created all the assets, and animated by Nate Swinehart. Engineering by Ariel Lee, Maura Fitzgerald, Kris Hom, and Corrie Scalisi. Music and sound effects by Aivi & Surasshu. Thanks to my ADs Sophie Diao and Liat Ben-Rafael for including me in this super fun project!
Go play it! It’s pretty dang charming.
I recently did this piece for Bust Magazine's Oct/Nov issue on newstands now, for the article "Backseat Drivers No More" as part of their News From A Broad section. Big thanks to my AD Erin Wengrovius who pushed for those sweet pink lucite wayfarers.
oh maannn, you were in NOBROW???? *follows* I have such love for that magazine. Someday all the issues will be mine. ALL OF THEM! :D
I was! And yes. They are awesome. Good goal!
