Idk I feel like making Maddie Nolen a traitor loyal to Ambessa does an extreme disservice not just to Maddie's character but also to the potential political message of Arcane. Had Maddie really, truly been earnest and kind and compassionate the whole time, and had she died in the battle, it would have done so much more for her, for Caitlyn, for the show. Here is a gentle character whose life and innocence would've been stripped from her because of war, because of imperialism. Here is a ray of sunshine who followed Caitlyn loyally through thick and thin, who shows Cait price of working with other oppressors.

But also: here is the bubbly character with a smile, the first to eagerly join in to a descent to fascism and martial law. Here is the "good cop", the gentle enforcer, who faithfully joins in a quest that involves gassing innocents of a city. Here is a kind soul, but also a soul who after expressing some doubts about the methods used, continues to work directly with and as the oppressors of innocents. Even the best of the enforcers is a part of the unjust oppression of Zaun.

Instead, she's written off as a spy, a mole, bad all along. Any nuance that her character could have brought is stripped away and she's killed and discarded without a second glance. The enforcers as a whole I feel could've been approached with more nuance, and she would've been a part of it. Instead, she's one-dimensional, a complete turncoat.

Just a reminder to all my little friends that “childish” and “immature” are not the same thing. You can love coloring, cartoons and stuffed animals but also have your priorities set straight. You can enjoy doing small puzzles and reading picture books and also be in charge at your job or an extracurricular at school. Likewise, you can wear fancy suits and ties every day but not get any work done ever.

Just because you find comfort in being in a younger headspace, does not mean you are a burden, lesser than anyone else, or in any way immature.

Tips for my littles who are struggling mentally:-

✿-If you don’t feel like showering but hate the feel of grease in your hair, try rinsing in the sink. Try and wash away the oils with water even if just a little bit.

✿-If you struggle with binge eating, especially when stressed, NEVER plan a diet or a “redemption” activity (fast, workout, etc). For my eating problems, documenting my bests and my lows without critique is the biggest first step.

✿-For those who can’t shower for too long (physically or mentally not having the ability/energy), get a chair, and I recommend focusing on the hair first. Wet your hair with water for a bit, shampoo it and rub till oils melt and mix with the shampoo, clean your body with soap, and wash it all with just one rinse.

✿-If you struggle with anxiety, especially regarding public speech, try lining up some stuffies or dolls (anything human or animal-like works), and give speeches to them, as if you’re actually talking to real people, express your hidden opinions. This is not the same as talking in front of actual people, but a good head start for people with severe anxiety.

✿-Never do anything if you don’t feel like it (not talking about crucial responsibilities), if you can’t workout today, don’t. Didn’t journal today? That’s literally fine. Too tired to cook? Order food if you can. Point is, pushing yourself to do optional things just to look good is more physically/mentally draining than people realise it is.

✿-This will sound niche, but sleep is SO crucial. If you can sleep, do it. I see sleep as slightly more important than food, the effects of under-sleeping are actually horrifying if you search it up. Personally, lack of sleep worsens my binge episodes, as I have to eat more frequently and in quantity to compensate.

✿-If you struggle with anxiety/panic attacks/emotional overload, try playing Tetris/solve-match/puzzles.

✿-Speak aloud, even when no one’s around. Help yourself process your feeling to not get overwhelmed. This also helps with memory retention, I repeat stuff to myself when I study.

✦ almost every time, she regresses without noticing!! she regresses the most when upset/sad, and easily becomes overwhelmed with her emotions & her involuntary regression kicks in, which can make her very frustrated since she loses the ability to pinpoint + verbalize what she’s feeling

✦ she usually regresses to around 2-4 yrs old! ✧₊⁺ when around that age, she can be either nonverbal or semi-verbal, which also depends if she isn’t too upset

✦ but there are times when she feels a little bit older! the oldest she’ll regress to is around 6-8, and then she’s usually more talkative!

✦ once she becomes only able to say very simple expressions (i.e, “mm sad” / “m’don’t feel good”) it’s one of the major indicators that she’s started regressing

✦ when this leads to a fussy pow, vi usually can pick up on it very quickly, often noticing her lack of ability to verbalize how she’s feeling and instantly becoming gentler with her

✦ vi is always tries to be the best big sis she can in the moment, offering her cuddles and reassuring words when she notices pow’s words start to turn more blubbery as she fights off tears

✦ since pow’s usual regression stems from emotional distress, it’s a number one thing for her to have her comfort items close by (bunny stuffy, paci, sippy)

✦ she gets very tearful very fast, and at first feels ashamed to cry, but soon grew more and more comfortable around her big sib as she soothed and comforted her as best as she could

✦ lots of reassurance + gentle baby talking is what makes her feel the most validated and comforted in the moment, it’s the main things that’re the first steps to cheering her back up <3

✦ while she still needs her time to cry n let it out, vi knows when she can transition from the comforting soothing to silly babying that cheers her up, and it always has pow giggling in seconds

✦ usually after crying she can also tucker herself out pretty fast, so vi always offers some cuddles and nap, which pow always says yes in the form of yawns and vi will quickly grab her bunny stuffy for her

✦ loves her bunny stuffy!!! takes him everywhere, always cuddles with him every night—vi knows she can get rlly fussy without her bunny, so she always makes sure to keep him close by when she starts regressing

✦ after pow calms down & her tears stop (and after her nap if she ends up falling asleep), she always needs some play time with her big sis <3 having the silly playtime is another big de-stressor she loves to engage in when regressed! one of her favorites is playing hide n seek, where vi looks for her and her bunny

✦ she absolutely loves when vi gets silly and pulls out a game with the tickle monster—one of her favorite things to do to calm down is laugh a lot and be silly (to help take her mind off of any negative emotion + de-stress), so silly games ending in playful tickles are easily some of her favorites <3

✦ also loves to color + doodle a bunch! she tries her best to color in the lines but vi is always quick with a “wow powpow, did you color that? how’d you do that? no waaay!” which always makes her smile and giggle, forgetting about any initial frustration

✦ always loves having her big sis nearby <3 again due to most of her regression triggered from emotional distress, definitely a regressor that needs a cg most of time!

There had been a lot going on recently. Council meetings, paperwork paperwork paperwork, trainings, endless appointments and a packed schedule, all on top of a lack of sleep- Vi was just about ready to crack under the pressure. While Caitlyn thrived in high stress situations, Vi was becoming burnt out.

Which was why she was in Caitlyn's room alone, sat on top of the bed with a colouring book. Vi didn't much like the texture of crayons- they smelt weird and left a weird feeling on her fingertips. She much preferred using a set of beautiful brush pens Caitlyn had gifted her. Even when regressed, Vi's colouring was neat. It had to be neat, and the colouring had to be perfect. Vi didn't know how to relax- at all. There was no moment that she wasn't tense.

Vi turned over the page to find that the colours from her pens had bled through- she'd forgotten to put a protective sheet of paper between the pages. For a few moments, all Vi could do was stare at the pages, eyes welling up with tears. Distraught and overwhelmed, Vi threw the colouring book across the room, knocked her pen set over and started to sob, curling up in a ball.

It didn't take long for Caitlyn to come running, her hands rubbing at Vi's back.

"Vi? Vi, sweetheart, what's wrong?"

"Colouring-" she sobbed.

Caitlyn pulled Vi into her lap, wrapping her arms around her and beginning to run her fingers through her hair as she gently shushed her.

"Oh, my love. Did your colouring go wrong?"

Vi nodded, overwhelmed with relief that Caitlyn wasn't mocking her- she felt so stupid, so so stupid, but so upset that she couldn't even do one thing right, the thing that was supposed to help her. She could feel Caitlyn reaching over for something, pulling a few items over, but Vi was too busy sobbing into Cait's shoulder to care all that much.

"It's okay, Violet. I can fix it. See?"

Vi lifted her head, looking to see the page missing. There were no traces of the bleed-through now. She coughed, sniffling as she tried to catch her breath again.

"Do you remember how to do balloon breathing? We gotta pretend when we breathe in, our lungs are balloons that inflate and deflate."

Vi liked balloon breathing. It helped the both of them when panic attacks struck. It got a pattern going and a distraction. You couldn't inflate a balloon properly with little breaths.

"There you go, baby. Tell you what, I think that you're very very tired and you need a little break and some time with Mama Cait. Does that sound good?"

Vi gave a nod as Caitlyn handed her a paci and a soft bunny. Caitlyn stood, picking up the items that had been thrown across the room and setting them aside carefully. No harm done. Cait would rather Vi throw pens and colouring books, harmless things, than hit walls or throw heavier things. No harm done.

Caitlyn came back, lying against the pillows and opening her arms. Without hesitating, Violet curled up, snuggling into Cait's side, paci in her mouth and bunny in her arms.

"Shall we watch a film, hm? I know choosing's a little hard right now, so Mama can pick.."

It was such a soft film, and with Caitlyn's fingers gently running through her hair, it wasn't long before Vi had fallen asleep.

biter !! shows both affection and aggression through biting on top of it being a stim for her. she bites when excited or triggered , it's her response for all really intense emotions good or bad or when she's nonverbal / struggling with words. when she's triggered she bites more at herself or anybody who attempts to touch her. it's pretty clear when she's biting out of love / excitement versus in an attempt to protect herself or inflict pain.

chronic chewer , chews up any and everything that she can whether its a toy , item of clothing or one of her thumbs or fingers. if it fits in her mouth then that's where it's going !! big fan of teethers and chew toys but doesn't have any of her own : c.

such a silly pup !! she's a barker , whether its because she needs attention or is just excited about something !! chases her tail a lot and shakes her butt when she's excited like she's shaking a tail. playful little pup , loves to fetch things even when she's not asked.

follows around caitlyn like it's her duty. always doing little things for her to earn praise and growls at people who threaten her cait.

she's super obedient , getting really upset if she ever breaks a rule by mistake. she tends to get self destructive often hiding from others or biting at herself more.

LOVES pets and head pats those are sure to get her barking and wagging her tail. head pats make her feel sooo tiny. she gets super happy and stimmy whenever someone uses puppy pet names on her. yes she's mama's good puppy that's her that's her !!

not a big talker. she mostly communicates through whines and barks or through her biting. she's fairly nonverbal and being asked to speak is really upsetting to her. only exception is cait going "use your words pup" when they're all alone and cait's having trouble helping her. she wants to be a good puppy for caitlyn.

very accident prone which is sooo super frustrating for her. she gets over excited and doesn't realize she's gotta go before it's too late. she cries about it and instinctively hides because she feels like a bad pup and is mortified and scared. caitlyn is really gentle with her and understanding though , bringing up the idea of padding which upsets maddie at first. over time she gets used to it though and she must admit.. it Does help. nevertheless can be quite fussy about it.

requested by @themoondropcollective . spinning around because i LAUV vi , he's one of my own fictional cgs (>/////< " ) . butch cg for eensy butch !! i refer to vi with he / him pronouns .. you can pry tmasc butch vi from my cold dead hands . it brings me comfort as a fellow trans butch to see someone like me :3 .. if you'd prefer other pronouns let me know but i default to he for him . that being said my vi is not a binary man pronouns do not equal gender :L .

while its my truth that vi is transmasculine he loves being called "mama" by his littles . you also call him "bubba" but he always melts when someone calls him "mama" or just "ma" . he does Not like being called mommy though . he's also okay with more masculine names like "papa" or "dada" as well && responds better to daddy than mommy though it's not preferred .

always telling you stories !! some of them are made up but a lot of them are about his life . he often gets lost in his tales but you hang onto his every last word .

loves to teach you new things . these little lessons often come with a little story of his own !! he notices you giggling && bites back a laugh of his own . " mama's silly , huh squirt." teaches you how to throw a punch but also about little everyday things like tying your shoes .

SOOOO protective .. literally your guard dog , he will not hesitate to throw a punch or clap back verbally if someone poses a threat to you . king of glares too , he scares away aaallll the meanies . always holding your hand && proudly calling you his little one . he often has his hand on your shoulder as a way to reassure you he's there for back up .

always including your stuffies in everything , he's so playful with them !! if you're sad he'll have them talk to you in silly voices to cheer you up && he has little conversations with them to make you giggle . sometimes he can't help but crack up himself .

he lets you play with his hair && put little clips in it . you love his hair soo much , the color is so AWESOME !! when his hair is longer he lets you style it however you like .

on the topic of hair he loves washing yours . it's super soothing for him && makes him feel closer to you . it's something so intimate that he treasures , running his hands through your hair , doing his best to learn all he can about how to take care of it if you have more kinky hair so he can meet all of your needs .

he's super good at braiding from always doing powder's braids && it's something that calms him down . if you have longer hair he's always happy to braid it — he can do all of the fancy braids !! he tries to teach you but your fingers are a bit clumsy what with you being so little .

even though he himself doesn't always practice safe binding he makes sure that you do . if you whine about it trying to point out that he doesn't he sheepishly says something like , "well you shouldn't do everything daddy does ."
