Parshmen: The human name of a "docile servant people" whose true origins were lost to time. In actuality they are singers who were robbed of their sapience and enslaved by ancient humans.
Slaveforms: The Listener term for parshmen.
The Listeners: A nation of singers living in the Unclaimed Hills that escaped being enslaved by the humans.
Parshendi: The Alethi name for the Listeners, meaning "parshmen who can think." It is not what the Listeners call themselves.

It's very bold of the cosmere fandom to say that Dalinar is the one who adopts everyone when Kaladin exists in the same world. Like that boy adopts whole groups of 30+ people literally everywhere he goes. Dalinar's order is about uniting people but Kaladin's the one out there doing the good work.
Please, it’s simple, Dalinar’s strategy is to adopt a few keystone players so that all of their mass-adoptions can still tie back to him, like some multi-level adoption scheme.
