it’s annoying to me as a Fanfic Elder that y’all don’t understand how consent works in regards to reading fanfic

last night I saw a fic that had EIGHT of my favorite tags included and a great summary BUT it also contained a tag for a topic that bothers me. I weighed the pros/cons and decided NOT to read the fic because the ONE tag I disliked was something that could trigger a panic attack if the scene went into any sort of detail - it wasn’t worth risking the eight good tags.

from the first moment I noticed the fic to the moment I decided not to read it, the entire experience was MY RESPONSIBILITY. the author tagged the fic correctly, I knew what my limits were, and I respected them.

if you find a fic with tags you don’t like, JUST DON’T READ IT 

don’t harass the author, don’t post a big whiny rant about it on Tumblr, just keep scrolling

that is your job as a reader. 

B&C not haunting the narrative is the most horrendously bad writing choice in this entire show.

Hell, even Luke's death is not haunting the narrative as it should.

What gets to hunt the narrative? The goddamn memory of Viserys. Oh, and the fucking ratcatchers, too.

Little disclaimer:

I know some of my takes aren't for everyone, and that's fine! The world is great cause we're all different. I do not have a problem with people who disagree with what I say, sometimes I can even agree with the opposing side's opinion.

What I do draw the line at are insults. ( especially stuff like kys ) If you start cussing at me for what I say , or gravely insult anyone you're arguing with in the comments of my posts, then I'm going to have to block you.

No warnings, no second chances.

The writers are fully to blame for this dumpster fire. Like why can Baela, Rhaenys and Nyra go apeshit during the dance while all Alicent says is "peace plz."

Give her at least an ounce of book!Alicent's exaggerated swagger and rage I'm literally begging you.

The only one who's possibly decent is Lyonel, but that's mainly because he's almost never on screen. Oh wait he's Larys' father never mind

No one ever said Aegon or Otto are ideal fathers, mind you. However, just remember that Daemon, Viserys and Corlys are exemplary fathers! This is why I don't take this fandom seriously.

Guuys do you have any good Alicent centric fics to recommend? I would appreciate even some Alicole ones if you have em.
