Jalice angst💕

Warning: mention of death and injuries It had been a few weeks now but James was still a mess. He hadn’t been out of his room for a week and everyone was getting worried about him. Every second without her felt like an hour to him and he couldn’t bare being away from her, even though there was no way he could bring her back.

A few weeks ago everything had been fine. James and Alice were playing quidditch for gryffindor when it had happened. They were playing Slytherin and they were winning 140-120.

The tension was building and everyone was on edge. The gryffindors were speeding up their game to try and keep there win and no one was really focusing on there passes, bludgers dashing everywhere.

Alice had the quarrel and was speeding towards the goal. James hitting away the bludgers as they came speeding her way when one other gryffindor said he wasn’t hitting them properly, he sped over to James and yanked the bat out of his hand, before James could snatch it back he had swung the bat at a bludgers and sent it straight at Alice. James speeding to try and save Alice but it was to late. The bludgers hit her right in the head and her body went limp. She fell through the air and James heart was racing a million thoughts going through his mind as he dived down and caught Alice just before she hit the ground. He held her limp body in his arms, hugging her tightly and rocking her like you would a baby as he whispered “it’s alright, it’s all going to be ok” over and over. Tears trickled down his cheeks as frank and Neville rushed over. Neville took charge and took Alice’s body, he ran her up to Madame pomfrey.

Frank and James waited outside. Both of them with their head buried in their hands. “Do think she’s alive?” Frank asked James, his voice cracking. “Of-of course she is, it’s Alice” James replied as another tear fell down his cheek. “Yeah, she’s one tough girl.” Frank said “It’s going to be alright frank” James said patting frank on the back, sounding better then he felt. They both sat in silence until the door opened and out came neville. “You can come in now boys” He said not looking up. Frank and James looked at each other , both thinking the worst. They got up and James let frank go in first. They walked slowly over to the bed alice was in. Wires and tubes were sticking out of her. Madame promfrey told them she was in a coma. Nothing magic could prevent. And after that James’ thoughts were all fuzzy.

Once Alice had been in a come for a week it was the start of the summer holidays so they moved her to st mungos.

All James could remember is that they told him she could be in a coma for a long time and she could even die.

James just wanted to escape , he didn’t want to think about Alice dying. So he locked himself in his room.

He wanted to see Alice. So he got up and took a shower and got dressed. He left his room for the first time in a week. When he went downstairs they all stared at him as he got his coat on and put on his shoes. “I’ll take you!” Ginny said snapping out of shock. “Thanks” James replied.

They got into the car and silently drive to st mungos.

When James got there he went straight to Alice. It was just the two of them. James leaned in and placed a kiss on her head and rubbed her hair, all the things he knew she liked. “I love you ally” he whispered”and I really miss you. I’m sorry I haven’t been in a while I’ve just been trying to think. I- I don’t want to loose you”

James didn’t know if he actually saw it but he could’ve sworn he saw Alice’s head move a little bit. He kissed her lips gently and rubbed her hand. “I’ll always be here for you ally” he whispered into her ear. “Everything is going to be alright”

“Alright, visiting time is over” said a nurse. “Can’t I have five more minutes ?” James pleaded “No, it’s time-“ Alice’s hand had extended and grabbed James” arm. The nurse quickly ran away and came back with some sort of liquid. She injected it into Alice’s arm and then her eyes flickered open. The nurse made her lie down. James’ heart was thumping loudly in his chest , he was too shocked to speak. The nurse told another nurse to call Alice’s family before leaving the two alone. Alice saw James and immediately smiled. He smiled back, he had waited so long to see that smile. “I love you” James said “I love you too” Alice said just before her entire family came in and began hugging her

Ginny:*to Harry* James is still pretty upset, you should go to talk to him , it looks like he needs it

Harry walks over and sits across from James who puts his head down onto the table and groans

Harry: James , what’s wrong?

James: *groans*

Harry: James you know you can talk to me

James: *mumbles inaudibly*

Harry: sit up so I can hear you better

James: I said …. sighs she has a boyfriend

Harry knee immediately that James was taking about Alice.

James lead his head back down on the table.

Harry: let me guess… he’s an idiot

James: no that’s the bad thing , he’s fucking great and he likes her almost as much as me but the shittiest part is that it’s me he is asking advice from and I’m just thinking about how shit everything is and how fucking fucked up it’s all become and how fucking stupid I am for being such a fucking coward and if I had manned up a bit and asked her out a bit fucking earlier then none of this would’ve happened because I would have either started dating her or if maybe she didn’t like me back then at least I would know my place but she’s my best friend so I don’t want to be a dick about it because you know she deserves that world and shit but at the same time I want to be a dick because she should be with me and not mr fucking perfect!

Ginny sits next to James and pulls him into a hug : James sirius potter , what a pickle you have got yourself into over this.

She pulled him into her chest and James’ chest was moving up and down and his breathing was shaky indicating that he was crying. Ginny rubbed his hair

Harry: if you love her more than he does then she will see it too some day. You always date your forever in school, maybe you will find love somewhere else or maybe it will be Alice , in time . Your mum dated several guys before she got to me and yeah I got jealous I didn’t mind because as long as you are certain you love them they will know somewhen. And your a great guy James , anyone would be lucky to have you

James: *sits up and rubs his eyes dry with the sleeves of his hoodie , he gives a small smile to his parents and they saw his red nose and red puffy eyes but somehow he still managed to look handsome thanks guys * his breathing still slightly shaky * but aren’t we on our way to the burrow , where she will be….

James began playing with his hoodie strings

Ginny : if you want my advice , you just have to be a good friend , Fred will be there and he’s more than aware of the situation, you’ll get through this

James: this whole situation feels weirdly mature , he laughs

James : never!

After James and Alice had a big argument they spent two weeks without talking to each other. It was hell for both of them, James got through several packets of cigarettes and quite a few bottles of firewhiskey

Fred- James , isn’t that like your sixth cigarette James- yeah and? You got a problem? Fred- well it’s only ten am…. you alright bro? James- of course I’m not alright and who cares anyway Fred- is this about Alice? James-….. Fred- you don’t need to smoke all the time James, you can talk to me

Jalice Fun Facts

-They started dating in sixth year, but their first kiss was in fifth

-They both love downton abbey more then life, it’s James’ guilty pleasure

-Alice is a cat person, but James is a dog person, it causes many fights

-The longest they’ve gone without talking to each other was 72 hours (6 days), James came up to her and apologized, and afterward they snogged a bit, causing most of the Wotters to throw up in their tea

-They kept their relationship a secretfor all of sixth year, but Fred eventually found out

-Whenever James found out Alice had schizophrenia in fifth year, he cried for at least an hour, whilst hugging Alice and saying repeatedly, “I’m so sorry, I can’t believe that the universe would something like this to such an amazing person.”

-That was their first kiss

-They both hate the idea of going on ‘normal’ dates with each other, so their ideal date is going to the room of requirement, and watching different TV shows, whilst inhaling chocolate

-When Nate found out about the pair dating he almost killed James, but that was nothing compared to what he did when he found out she was pregnant

James: No.

Albus: Jamie?

James: Get away from me.

Harry: Jamie?

James: Stop that.

Ginny: Jamie?

James: I love you, mummy, but say that one more time and I will snap your neck

James: You seriously need to shut up.

Alice: Jamie?

James: Yes, love?

This story takes place during the summer before their sixth year and the two haven’t gotten together yet.

Alice was laying on James’ bed at his house near the burrow, James lying next to her. They were talking about their sixth year, and everything that would happen during it. 

“You know, I’m pretty sure that Dom’s dating Frank.” Alice said lightly, the slightest bit of hurt in her voice. 

“I don’t think so. Frank would definetly tell you if he was dating someone.” James replied, lifting his head so he could see her better. 

“I probably wouldn’t tel Frank if I was dating someone.” Alice said, lifting her head so that their heads were level with each other. 

“Really?” James lifted his eyebrows, an unconvinced smile gracing his lips. 

“Yes, in fact I am quite rebellious.” 

“Yes, the rebellious little Hufflepuff.” James laughed, making Alice’s stomach flutter. 

“I do do dangerous things that no one expects me to do.” Alice said, accusingly. 

“Okay, do one dangerous thing that no one would expect you to do.” James said, still laughing.

“Fine then.” She grabbed James by the front of his shirt, and kissed him hard on the mouth, shutting him up.

He cupped her face, as did Alice, and the kiss continued, growing deeper by the minute. James, surprisingly, pulled away first, breathing hard. “Where the bloody hell did that come from?” 

“Oh, I’ve been wanting to do that for a while.” Alice smiled, her hands still resting on James’ cheeks, and her forehead resting against his. 

“Really?” 

“Of course, Mr. Potter.” 

“Well, that’s good because the feeling’s mutual.” James whispered, before going back in for another kiss. 

Alice laid on the bed, James on top of her, running her hands through his hair. Their kiss was shortlived, because from downstairs Ginny Weasley yelled, “James! Alice! Dinner’s ready!” 

James broke the kiss, and sighed, sitting up. “We’ll have to continue this after dinner.” 

They headed downstairs, acting as if they hadn’t just confessed their feelings towards each other, and sat at the dining table.

“I know you’re a vegan, Alice, so this is a meatless, eggless, milkless, chickenless, and seafoodless meal.” Ginny said to Alice, who smiled and laughed.

They ate their meal in peace, Alice and James sitting closer than normal, but nobody noticed. Afterward, the two went upstairs, both saying they were getting ready for bed. 

They entered James’ room, closing and locking the door, and stared at each other for a moment, before James approached her and cupped her cheek gently, kissing her softly. 

This was the start of a woonderful relationship.

The Wotters always went on an annual trip somewhere, and they never really invited anyone but family, but Molly and James insisted that Alice come.

Some More Soft Yasammy Headcanons 

Yaz loves lying on top of Sammy when they cuddle. The feeling of Sammy's fingers combing through her hair and one arm slung protectively around her waist? Amazing. Combine that with the sound of Sammy's heartbeat lulling her into a light sleep and Yaz absolutely melts.

When the girls feel overwhelmed and lost in her memories of Isla Nublar, they'll stop what they're doing and just hold each other. Yaz will rub soothing circles on Sammy's scars from the Scorpios Rex attack and Sammy will kiss every inch of Yaz's face until they both feel safe and secure again.

Sammy once stumbled upon one of Yaz's old sketchbooks and found several drawings of herself in it. When she brought it up to her girlfriend, Sammy shyly said, "You made me look so pretty." To which Yaz replied, "You are so beautiful, I could never do you justice."

Yaz casually mentioned that she was running out of good songs to listen to while she runs, so Sammy spent hours making the perfect playlist for her girlfriend. Not only does Yaz listen to it every time she works out, but she'll have the biggest lovesick grin on her face as she listens to it.

Sammy is notorious when it comes to falling asleep on the couch. The girls could be watching a movie or having an Esther Stone marathon and it won't take long for Sammy to fall asleep on Yaz's shoulder or in her arms. Yaz finds it incredibly cute and will usher her sleepy Sammy to their bedroom for a good night's sleep.

These two will never shut up over the fact that they're dating. Like they will take any opportunity that is given to them to mention that they're girlfriends.

Sammy: "Have you met my amazing girlfriend, Yaz? Hold on one moment while I tell you all about my super talented and insanely pretty girlfriend—"

Yaz: "You see that stunning girl over there? The one who looks like the physical embodiment of sunshine? That's Sammy. My girlfriend."

Sometimes Yaz will pretend that she can't open jars and will hand them to Sammy just to see her open them with ease then immediately turn to brag and flex her arms. Does Yaz do this because she loves Sammy's smile? Yes. Does she also do this because she's obsessed with Sammy's country strong muscles? YES.

Sammy makes amazing hot chocolates. When the weather gets cooler or the girls have a late night sugar craving, Sammy will head to their kitchen to whip up some hot chocolate. All the while Yaz will be hugging her from behind and watching her girlfriend work her magic. (And if Yaz manages to sneak a few marshmallows, that's her business.)

These girls melt when they kiss. Like when their lips caress they'll feel warm all over and full of giddy excitement. They'll find any excuse under the sun to kiss each other and show how much they mean to each other.

When Yaz wraps her arms around Sammy's waist and pulls her in close for a tender kiss? Sammy is a goner. When Sammy traces the bottom of Yaz's lips with her fingers before gently tipping her chin up so she can lock their lips together? It's a TKO for Yaz.

At the end of the day, Yaz and Sammy are each other's favorite person. And despite the insane, dino-related circumstances that brought them together, they couldn't imagine their lives without each other in it. 🧡💜
