Yess!!!
The three distinct types of found family:
Commits crimes together.
Fights crimes together.
Constantly switching back and forth between the other two at a horrifying speed.
One thing I need allistics to understand is that autistic people often have wildly different perspectives of what conversations are "acceptable" and what aren't. Many autistic people talk about "private" topics really openly, and allistics see that as oversharing. Other autistic people consider everything private and avoid asking/answering questions, so many allistics see them as weird or like we have something to hide. I for example am in the second category and since I was a child, I had strange boundaries on what's acceptable to ask and what isn't. That's alright, it's simply just another autism thing.
hello there, i am a severely disabled intersex trans person who deals with crohn's disease, arthritis, hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome, schizophrenia, and other health problems. i have been getting sicker and sicker due to my crohn's disease, it has been very difficult if not impossible to eat most days. i'm struggling with unintended weight loss, nausea, vomiting, diahrrea, constipation, severe pain in my intestines and stomach, and other GI issues daily, which make it very difficult to function. i'm also dealing with severe fatigue due to this- a lot of my days i end up sleeping all day, and i've been bed bound for a few months now. i cannot work a traditional job due to these issues, so i have an online shop where i make ends meet.

There’s Sweetie who is a kickass girl boss. Some folk from a military base camp found her and brought her to the veterinary hospital my dad worked at. My little sister wanted to name her sweet little kitten (she was a toddler then), so we abbreviated to Sweetie.
Later we foster failed and got Buddy, Rosie, and S’more. Joy was a sweet baby girl who got adopted before we adopted her siblings.
Buddy is a brown tabby, a sweet boi, and he’s kind of scaredy cat. But we love him.
Rosie is an ankle biter and I love her for it. She’s chaotic but sweet. Will meow until you pet her for hours. And you will.
S’more is a very fluffy cat. 90% fluff, 10% cat. She’s very vocal and has an adorable meow. She always meows at the door in the morning (very specific time) to get outside. We can’t let her out tho (our area has a lot of coyotes and it could be dangerous).
Lastly, we adopted a kitten named Lucky. He wasn’t expected to live as long as his siblings because of a condition he had, but ended up living longer than expected. We adopted him in the end, but he passed away at six months. He was a very sweet boy and we miss him a ton.
We have fostered a lot more as well. This was long, but I love my kitties and will always brag about them when I can.
Bonus: explain who your cats are and how you got them in the tags
I've seen this a lot and I bet you have too; when a publisher puts out a blurb for a scifi/fantasy/what have you book that basically just describes one bit of representation, a vague description of a pairing trope, and then maybe something that barely has to do with the genre. I've seen it in book reviews and recommendations as well, where you take a book into a quick phrase that overall is a really cynical way to describe rep and doesn't explain anything about the story. Something like:
PANSEXUAL ALCHEMISTS. ENEMIES TO MURDERERS TO RESURRECTED LOVERS. THREE UNIVERSES EACH WITH A SPACE STATION. NEED I SAY MORE? 😏
Another example is the cynical "just use the comps as the pitch line even on the official book descriptions and metadata" type, like so:
THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE-OFF MEETS JURASSIC PARK 3 BUT WITH REP.
So I dare ya to make one of your own because the cynical-ness of this feels like it could be goofed on, especially the big publisher blurb style where they tell you so little about your book's actual plot or characters or anything. It can be your WIP or just something absurd you make up for this, whatever you wanna do! The less plot and character in your blurb the better!
See also this post for the vibe.
I'mma try it with Rising Shards.
LESBIAN MEET CUTE IN MONSTER GIRL SCHOOL. ENOUGH SAID. 😏
So yeah something like that!
Thank you to @blind-the-winds for the motivation to finally post this and @indy-gray for the name!
